MCCENEY, Margaret Anne “Peggy’, died December 28, 1994 in Tucson, Arizona. Born in Washington, D.C. July 27, 1925. Preceded by parents, Henry Cole and Ida Isadora Day McCeney; and two brothers, Henry Cole McCeney, Jr. and Thomas Stephen McCeney. Peggy made a career as an Executive Secretary with the C.I.A. After her retirement in 1975, she worked at the University of Arizona for a number of years. Peggy served on the Arizona Opera League Board and in the Auxiliary of Carondelet, St. Mary’s Hospital. She was a member of St. Philip’s in the Hills Episcopal Church where she was a member of the Newcomers Committee and Outreach Ministries. Peggy gave devoted and invaluable services to the Pascua Yaqui Indian Community of Tucson. Working with Arts Genesis, Inc., she served as a co-chairman of the Benefit Concerts for Project Choki, performed by R. Carlos Nakai. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, January 17, 1995 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Philips in the Hills Episcopal Church, 4400 N. Campbell Ave. (Campbell and River), in Tucson. OAR, Mary Louise, born October 18, 1912, died January 11, 1995. BRUNO, Pasquale “Pat’, age 57, formerly of Long Branch, New Jersey, died Friday, January 6, 1995 at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. Mr. Bruno was a self employed fence contractor and was proprietor of the American Fence Company, Long Branch. He was the builder of the Monhan Castle, Tucson, Arizona. He was a US Army veteran. Born in Long Branch, Mr. Bruno was a resident of Berkeley Spring, West Virginia for the past three months coming from Tucson. Surviving are his mother, Frances M. Bruno of Long Branch; three daughters, Patricia Bruno of West Palm Beach, FL, Diane Bolton of Pennicola, FL and Karen Sosa of Fairfax, VA; one sister, Joan Meyers of Long Branch; nephew, Charles Meyers of Long Branch; niece, Valerie McGuorik of New York. DEVAULT. Funeral Services for Bruce M. DeVault of Pinetop, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lakeside. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Cemetery. Mr. DeVault passed away at his home on Tuesday morning following a lengthy illness. He was 51. He was born in Boston, MA and has lived in Pinetop since 1981. He graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Forestry. He was employed by the Arizona State Land Department, and was the forester for the city of Pinetop-Lakeside. He also served as chairman for Pinetop-Lakeside Arbor Day. Survivors include his wife, Linda of Pinetop; two sons, Aaron of Scottsdale and Donald of Mesa; his parents, Robert and Muriel DeVault of Tucson; and a brother, Dennis DeVault of Bismark, ND. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Owens Mortuary in Show Low where there will be a viewing from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Additional viewing will be for one hour prior to services at the church.

JACOME, Katie Hughes, passed away Sunday, January 8, 1995. She was born December 6, 1907 to Jesus and Teresa Lauterio Hughes in Bisbee, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur in 1987 and her daughter, Renee Jacome Majors in 1993. She is survived by her sister, Alyce Manzo; many nieces and nephews, including Mary Florsheim and Dora Weaver. Also surviving her are son-in-law Robert C. Majors; grandson, Robert C. Majors, Jr. and wife, Barbara; one great-grandson, Timothy Kurzejeski; brother-in-law, Augustine Jacome; sisters-in-law, Estela, Alberta, and Margo Jacome. Rosary will be said Thursday, January 12 at 7:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway). LOWE, Eddie Leonard, 65, died January 10, 1995. Survived by his wife, Marie Lowe, his mother, Mantha Lowe of Toledo, Ohio, sons Greg Lowe of Tucson, Douglas of Colorado, daughter, Mrs. Kim Drennen of Ohio and six grandchildren. ANDERSON, Harold U., 78, of Tucson, AZ, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 1995 at the Forum Hospice following a stroke. Mr. Anderson, an aviator and horseman, was born February 13, 1916 in Lincoln, IL, son of Kelsey M. and Helen Harrison Anderson. He was raised in Mt. Pulaski, IL and a graduate of Mt. Pulaski High School and Lincoln College. He married Billie Hahn Anderson, May 17, 1937. She lives in Tucson. Surviving are three sons, Richard “Andy’ Anderson (Linda), and Jefferey Anderson of Tucson, AZ, Mark Anderson (Paulette) of Pequote Lakes, MN; four daughters, Carolyn Aschenbrenner of Denver, CO, Pamela (Fred) Carlton of Bloomington, IL, Christy Bennet of San Antonio, TX, and Jo Ann (Ronald) Nault of Morris, IL; one sister, Kathryn Kinert Coffey of Mt. Pulaski, IL; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Anderson, a civil engineer, spent his career constructing highways and bridges, including the Alaskan Highway and for three decades managing and operating major institutional and educational facilities. He frequently lectured at the University of Illinois and Purdue University. In 1980 he joined Anderson DeBartolo Pan Architects and Engineers and Construction Managers to administer the construction of Weld County Memorial Hospital in Greeley, CO. In 1983, he retired with his wife to Tucson. A brief memorial service will be held at the Dodge Chapel of ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd., (at Speedway), at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 1995. Burial will follow at a later date at the Mt. Pulaski Cemetery in Mt. Pulaski, IL. BIELAK, Virginia Louise, of Tucson, died at the age of 70 at Northwest Hospital on January 4, 1995. Preceded in death by husband, Robert E. Bielak, Sr. She is survived by daughter, Carolanne Overshiner; and, sons, Robert Edward Bielak and Ronald Ernest Bielak; and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Bielak retired from the Country Treasurers Office in 1984 and was past secretary/treasurer of Love Truth Union Church. Private services were held Tuesday, January 10. She will be missed by all.
