PEEL, Clarence E. “Jack’, 87, died January 14, 1995. Survived by wife, Irene Peel; son, Jack (Faye) Peel of Casa Grande; daughters, Wanda Clifton Coates and Joyce Oldfather, both of Tucson; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Russell (Pauline) Peel of Kennett, MO; sister, Opal Rice of Kansas City, KS. Clarence was an industrial mechanic for Cortaro Water Users Assoc. of Marana. A resident of Marana and Tucson for 61 years. UNDERWOOD, John C., Jr., 81, of Tempe, a retired executive with Shamrock Foods Company, died January 15, 1995. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, moved to Tucson, AZ in the 20's. Avid sportsman and humanitarian, prominent in Arizona politics, served as an officer on the Arizona Game Protective Association, Past president the Tucson Lions Club, elected to the Arizona Advertising Hall of Fame, served on the Arizona State Mental Hospital Board of Directors, Associated with the Tucson daily newspapers as advertising executive. His column Streams and Game Trials appeared weekly from 1949 to 1958. Manager of KVOA Radio and TV and was instrumental in establishing the television channel. Moved to Scottsdale in the 60's and was Marketing and Public Relations Vice President for Shamrock Dairy, until he retired. Survivors include his wife, Antoinette; son, John; daughters, Jan and Maria; brother, Mike; sister, Carrie; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday the 19th and 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday the 20th at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale. BUSICK, Robert J., 68, of Phoenix, died January 14, 1995. Mr. Busick was born in Columbus, OH, and was a retired employee of Shamrock Foods. Survived by ex-wife, Charlotte Busick; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Peter Nick of Yorba Linda, CA; grandsons, David and Douglas Nick; sister, Barbara Moon of CA. He is preceded in death by son, Charles. At Mr. Busick’s request there will be no services. Burial is at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.

GILLIS, Elizabeth D., 84 years old, died Saturday, January 14, 1995 at home in Tucson. Mrs. Gillis has been a resident for 30 years. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Mr. Robert B. Gillis. LANGE, Beth B. Garrigus, 93, of Green Valley, passed away January 14, 1995. A native of Tucson and a Green Valley resident of 16 years. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Betts of Green Valley and is survived by a son, Norman F. Garrigus of Alexandria, VA. Memorial Services will be held at Park Centre Healthcare Nursing Home at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 1995 by Father Ted Holt of St. Francis-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church. LINSON, Ralph O., 64, a resident of Tucson, died Monday, January 16, 1995. Survived by daughters, Carolyn Degman (Scott) of Sahuarita, Donna Bogard (Mickey) of Tucson, Wanda Hobson (Wade) of Medford, OR, Betty Gates (Mark) of Tucson; eight grandchildren; brothers, George Linson (Joan) and Lawrence Linson (Jo Ann) both of Tucson; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. MATSON, Kathleen Linda, resident of Tucson for the past 15 years, aged 45 and from Racine, WI, died of cancer on January 14, 1995. She is survived by her sons, Nicholas and Benjamin; her mother, Janice; and her brothers, Steven, Michael and Kevin. She was a highly regarded social worker, working both in a psychiatric setting and most recently with Kino Hospital as a pediatric social worker. She worked hard to create a garden of love at home and at her workplace and will be fondly remembered by her family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 4831 E. 22nd St., at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18. Her family requests that donations be made in her name to Casa de Los Ninos, 347 E. Speedway, Tucson.

WARNES, Jamesson Devoreaux, 2 1/2 years, passed away Sunday, January 15, 1995. A joy to all who knew him. BOSSEMEYER, Mary Hale, 75, died January 13, 1995. Wife of Dr. Frederick H. Bossemeyer; mother of Frederick W. (Mary Jane) Bossemeyer of Tucson, Richard A. (Marianne) Bossemeyer of Indio, CA and Patricia Bossemeyer of Tucson; four grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Bossemeyer was a native of Virginia. She graduated from Georgetown University in Washington DC School of Nursing. Mrs. Bossemeyer served in the Army Nurse Corp during WWII and worked as a registered nurse in Dayton, OH before retiring to Tucson in 1979. Mrs. Bossemeyer was an active member of Northminster Presbyterian Church and was very involved in community affairs. Burial will be in her birthplace, Fincastle, Virginia. Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17 at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2450 E. Ft. Lowell Rd., with Dr. Andrew Roth and Dr. Richard Rowley officiating. FOX, Nida Bernice Booke “Pat’, passed away in Tucson, AZ, January 14, 1995. Born in Bicknell in (Thurber) Utah August 18, 1907. Pat came to Washington, DC in 1928 to work for the Federal Government. She attended the National Law School – now part of George Washington University – and passed the bar in 1937. While practicing law for the government accounting office, she met and married William H. Fox in 1937. They were married for 55 years until his death in 1992. Pat resided at the Rincon Country East Trailer Park until her death. She is survived by her children, Robert W. Fox of Chestertown, MD, James A. Fox of Salt Lake City, UT and Patricia L. Lauer of Fairfax, VA. She is also survived by her sisters, Goldie Black of Tucson, AZ, Lorna Brown of Salt Lake City, UT, Ileta White of Salt Lake City, UT and Barbara Whittle of Wheaton, MD. She left nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E.
