(Jose Luis) Islas and daughter-in-law, Irma H. Sesma; son, Rene (Sandra) Sesma; sister, Guadalupe Zumano; also survived by 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 1995 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. MCFARLAND, Daniel J., II, 17, passed away January 16, 1995 in Michigan. Survived by mother, Pamela (William) Lane of Tucson; father, Daniel (Amy) McFarland of MI; two sisters, Chris Jackson and Glenda Walkinghorse; grandparents, Nathan and Hertha McFarland, Glenn Amos, Mary Lane, Ken and Sandy Doncal; numerous aunts and uncles. Dan was a senior at East Kentwood High in Michigan where he participated in track, soccer, football and basketball. Dan attended local grammar and middle schools in Tucson. Services are being held in Chico, CA January 23, 1995.
OLSEN, Mary Gordon, of Tucson, died quietly in her sleep on January 16, 1995. She leaves an adoring family: husband of 52 years, Holden W. Olsen; daughters, Judy Taylor (Mrs. Paul) of Orange, California and Kathy Niles (Mrs. Clayton) of Tucson, Arizona; and five grandchildren. Born in Michigan, Mary graduated from the University of Arizona in 1939, and taught school in both Prescott and Phoenix. When Holden returned from WWII overseas duty in 1945 they established their home in Tucson. In addition to raising their two daughters, she took an active role in numerous community organizations including the YWCA, the Assistance League of Tucson, Chi Omega, the Tucson Symphony Women’s Association, and the P.E.O. One of the real joys of her life was serving on the Symphony Cotillion Ball advisory committee for over 30 years. Memorial Services will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church at 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 20 with Dr. James Hine and Rev. Jack W. Baca officiating. Private interment Evergreen Cemetery. REED, Frank, Jr., 71, of Tucson, passed away January 14, 1995. He is survived by wife, Harriet of Tucson; son, Michael and his wife Karen; daughter, Vickie and her husband Johnny Johnson; grandsons, Jason Terrell, Robert and Brian Reed, Christopher Nicholas; two great-granddaughters; and four sisters. KULLER, Janet, 59 years old, died Sunday, January 15, 1995. She was a life long resident of Arizona. Survived by husband of 23 years, Harry William “Bill’; stepdaughter, Sue Mulligan (Dennis) of Tucson; stepdaughter, Amy Hanacek (David) of CA; and four grandchildren.
