Survived by his wife, Maudie and three children, Steve Hughey, Dale (Joy) Hughey and Nona (Steve) Holdcraft and five grandchildren, all of San Manuel; by two nieces, Betty Thornton of Tucson and Virginia Crosby of Phoenix. Another son, Gary Whiddon, is deceased. Funeral Services 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 6th at Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel in Phoenix (719 North 7th Avenue), followed by interment in Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery. SISSON, Pauline, 71, of Vail, died Friday, February 3, 1995. Born in Clinton, AR, daughter of Lester and Minnie Merryman. married Neal Sisson on June 27, 1943, who was in the Army Air Corps. Moved to Tucson, AZ in 1958 with husband Neal, and the six children. Enjoyed many years of travel with husband and family. Survived by children, Linda (Jim) Marcus, Melanie Cole, Stephen (Faye) Sisson, Mark (Leeann) Sisson, Kim (Faith) Sisson and Billy (Carolyn) Sisson; grandchildren, Anna Marie, Amber, Sherry, Michael, Heather, Kyle, Jeremy (Lisa), Rachael, Jason, Tawnisha and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Sabrina and Jamie; sisters, Carthal (Tom) Wanko and Jane (Bill) Freeman. EDLER, Ruth Ann, 85, of Tucson, died February 4, 1995. She was born in IN and has been a Tucson resident for 65 years. She is survived by a niece, Bernice C. Weightman of Ardmore, PA; nephew, Leon W. Piercy of Conyers, GA. Mrs. Edler has been a resident at the Forum of Tucson for the past four years. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, February 8, at 11:00 a.m. at South Lawn Cemetery. FRAZIER, Joseph E., 73, of Tucson, passed away February 1, 1995. Survived by his beloved German wife, Vally of 47 years; his son, Norman and daughter-in-law Beverly; daughter, Jeanette; and grandsons, Kevin, Brian, Brandt. Joseph is also survived by his brother, Charles; and two sisters, Mae and Bonnie. Joseph received the highest medals for his bravery in the U.S. Air Force which included the Purple Heart and numerous other Medals of Decoration plus recognition for his 14 months of P.O.W. during WWII. Joseph continued to serve the Air Force during the Korean War and retired after 29 years of service. Those who loved him, remember him happiest at golfing, telling jokes and traveling. Dad’s joy filled laughter echoes for eternally. Memorial Services will be held at Unity of Tucson, 3617 N. Camino Blanco on Saturday, February 11, 1995 at 11:00 a.m.

HARRIS, Marguerite Frances, 70, formerly of PA and Christchurch, England, died January 25, 1995 at home in Tucson. Frances was the beloved wife of Roy for 47 years and the very special mother of Paul, Christopher and Julie and Grannie to Molly Ann, Trevor, Sean-Paul and Amanda. Frances served as a WREN in the Royal Navy in WWII and as a Business Administrator at the University of Pennsylvania for 20 years. Frances ability to deeply care for those around her inspired such love in those who knew her. HOUGHTON, Katherine C., died January 25, 1995 in Tucson, AZ. She was born in Brackenridge, PA October 12, 1912 to Konstantine and Irene Sowanick. She married Dr. Glenn D. Casey of Phoenix, AZ May 31, 1947 and was widowed December 7, 1960. She married Dr. Neal D. Houghton, professor of Political Science, University of Arizona, May 19, 1967 who died February 18, 1985. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from University of Arizona, May 1961. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, University of Arizona Faculty Women’s Club and a past member of the Order of Eastern Star, Laurel Chapter, Phoenix, AZ. She is survived by her sisters, Irene Sowanick, New York City, Ann Walsh, Hubbard, OH and Julia Adams, San Francisco; her brother, Mike Sowie, El Paso, TX; and her step daughter, Virginia Houghton Culhane, Tucson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers. Private memorial services are pending. Memorials may be sent to the Endowment Committee of the Faculty Woman’s Club.
LOSO, Mary Serena, 96, was taken to be with the Lord Friday, February 3, 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Elmer J. Loso; and two sons, Kenneth W. Loso and Robert T. Loso. She is survived by son, Elmer Loso and wife Jeanne of North Ft. Myers, FL; daughter, Madeline Field and her husband John of Tucson; five grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and many loving friends. Memorial Service will be held at Farwell Church of Christ, 1922 S. MATHEWS, Ronald F. (Frank), 33, a native of Tucson, was tragically taken from us on February 2, 1995, due to a heavy equipment accident. Survived by son, Ronnie Mathews; father, Ronald Mathews; mother Jo Anne Schirka; brothers, Louie Schirka and John Mathews; sisters, Ronda (Pat) Schellde and Suzanne (Ben) Petersen. Frank was a member of the Chiliheads of Arizona, a semi-truck driver and a great friend to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but will remain in our hearts forever.
