FERGUSON, Evelyn C., 84, passed away Saturday, January 28, 1995. Survived by her niece, Carol M. Lyons. Evelyn was a writer and editor for Jack and Jill Magazine. She had published six children’s historical novels. Services will be held Tuesday, February 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 2nd Ave. and University. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.
GUMFORY, W. G. “Pat’, 67 years old, died Friday, January 27, 1995. Survivors include daughter, Linda (John) Durbin; Cheryl (Dewayne) Kennedy; son, George; brother, Robert, all of Tucson; daughter, Thalia (Dennis) Matney of Amado; brother, Michael of Wyoming; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. MORAN, Patricia Mary “Pat’, born St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1908, died Sunday, January 29, 1995. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Moran. She is survived by her son, Edward; granddaughters, Casey and Kelly, all of Tucson. Pat was a longtime volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital; many new babies went home in her hand knitted sweaters. STAIR, George M., 65, of Wabash, IN., and former resident of Tucson, passed away peacefully on January 28, 1995. He is survived by his wife, Doris Stair of Wabash, IN; two brothers, Robert Stair of Tucson, AZ, and Ira Stair of Jonesboro, IN; two sons, Jim (Beth) Stair and Raymond (Sue) Stair of Tucson, AZ; two daughters, Donna (Robert) Gaylor of Keizer, OR, and Patti (Albert) Swanson of Tucson, AZ; four stepsons and one stepdaughter; six grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren. George worked for several companies in Tucson, retiring from Oroweat Baking Company, and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Memorial Services were held at Eddingfield de Laughter Mortuary, Wabash, IN., on January 31, 1995. Private interment took place at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Wabash, IN. BEAM, Jesse C., 69, of Tucson, died Wednesday, February 1, 1995.
