Survived by daughters, Adelaide Burruel, Mercy (Danny) Morales and Angie (Juan) Cervantes; sons, Alfonzo (Eulalia) Burruel, Augustine (Dolores), Albert (Jeanette), Ruperto Burruel, Jesus Maria (Angelita), Carlos (Elaine) and Victor (Anna). Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 1995 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. EDGINGTON, Marion I. “Lane’, 75, of Tucson, died, February 26, 1995. Survived by husband, Frank Edgington; daughters, Victoria M. Wilson of Houston, TX; Kerri (Don) Dale of Willcox, AZ; brothers, Alan Ramsey and William Ramsey, both of Toronto, Canada; five grandchildren. Services private. FARRELL, Muriel G., resident of Tucson for 25 years. Age 73, died February 25, 1995 at her residence. GALVAN, Luis Y. “Lichi’, passed on February 25, 1995. In loving memory: survived by Olga and Margarita; son, Ronnie (Margie) Galvan; daughters, Marianna and Norma Jean Galvan; grandchildren, Clarissa Marianna, Alejandro, Gabriella, Ronnie Jr., Michael, Robert and Veronica. We love you Dad and you will always be part of our lives.

GIPSON, Rosemary Pechin, 67, died at home, February 27, 1995 in Tucson. She is survived by son, James M. Gipson; daughter, Margaret R. Knight; granddaughter, Katherine R. Knight; brothers, Tom Pechin, Jim Pechin; and sister, Jane Sleep. Rosemary was a retired University of Arizona Associate Professor Emerita of Theater History. Remembrances may be sent to Purdue University Alumni Scholarship Fund.

GILOTH, Henry J., 77, died February 27, 1995. Survived by his wife, Lauretta Giloth; children, Mary Terese Hancur of RI, Michael Giloth of CA, and Madelyn (Doug) Kremer of FL; sister, Ann Renner of IL; grandchildren, Sarah, Catherine, Matthew Hancur, Angie, Nicole, and Ryan Kremer. Mr. Giloth was a member of the Catholic Order of Forresters of Chicago, a member of St. Paul Cadet of Chicago, Veteran Assoc. Inc., China Burma India. Family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Casa de los Ninos, 347 E. Speedway, Tucson, 85705. Mass will be offered 9:00 a.m. Thursday, March 2, at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco, with interment to follow at Our Lady of The Desert Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m Wednesday, and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

HARRIS, Andren Love, 19, of Tucson, died February 28, 1995. Survived by mother, Evelyn Harris; sister, Kemena Akpoborie; brother, Miracle Robinson; grandmother, Pearline Jones; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Andren was a very loving person and will be greatly missed by all. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 1995. Funeral Services will be at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 3, 1995, with Rev. George Camp officiating. Cremation will follow.

JACKSON, Isabella, 90, of Tucson, died February 25, 1995. Survived by son, John A. (Elaine) Jackson of Tucson; daughter, Marian J. Sego of Reseda, CA; grandchildren, Patricia Hughes, Laura Paganelli, Arlie L. Sego, all of CA, Kathy Harada of NV, John Michael Jackson of AZ; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Wubben of Heltonville, IN; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, Olin Jackson, September 1982 and granddaughter, Janette Spencer, July 1993. Mrs. Jackson was an active member of Mountain View Christian Church, an avid quilter, was also devoted to her family and friends. Services Thursday 1:00 p.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY, N. Oracle and W. Miracle Mile. Visitation Wednesday 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Interment to follow Evergreen Cemetery.

KRZYZAK, Jennie, 72 years old, died Monday, February 27, 1995 in Tucson. Survived by brother, Walter Krzyzak of Tucson; sister, Lillian Krzyzak of Tucson. Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 3, 1995 at St. Cyril Church, 4725 E. Pima. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 1995 at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway, where Vigil Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Private interment. Arrangements handled by WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 881-0338.

MUTIMER, Mary Jane “MJ’, 48, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away February 24, 1995. She was born in Chicago, IL, graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Elmhurst, IL and St. Therese Hospital School of Nursing in Waukeegan, IL where she met her husband, Steve Mutimer, in 1966. MJ and Steve married on June 6, 1968. MJ was a registered nurse until her first child was born after which she retired to raise a family. The family relocated to San Diego, CA after Mr. Mutimer and his partner moved their local advertising agency to the west coast in 1975. In 1993, the Mutimers chose to move their residence to Tucson, AZ where Steve continues to run his agency today which includes five offices, one here in Tucson. In addition to her husband, MJ is survived by her two daughters, Holly Dorene Mutimer of Pleasanton, CA and Elizabeth Colleen Mutimer of Branford, Connecticut; also surviving are her mother, Jule Rudnick of La Mesa, CA; and a brother, Tom Rudnick of Huntington Beach, CA. Cremation is being performed by the ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, in Tucson. At her request, there will no services. She has requested a “happy gathering of friends to remember the good times.’ In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to the TMC Foundation, Tucson Medical Center, 5301 E. Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ 85712.

ONDASH, Edward F., 72, of Green Valley, died Monday, February 27, 1995. Survived by sisters, Mrs. Francis J. (Margaret) Brown of Tucson, Mrs. Francis (Ann) McGowan and Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Showalter, both of Youngstown, OH, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of the Green Valley Elks Lodge. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), Tucson, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, March 2, 1995. Funeral Mass will be at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 3201 E. Presidio, Tucson, 9:00 a.m., Friday, March 3, 1995 with Msg. Robert Fuller officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice in his name.

SCANTLIN, Gene Nelson, 76, of Tucson, went to be with the Lord, February 24, 1995. Survived by wife, Mary and children. Services to be held March, 4, at 10:00 a.m. Grace Chapel, 6180 E. Pima.

STANGL, Alfred W. Stangl, 85, longtime resident of Tucson, died on February 27, 1995 at his home after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife; seven children; 25 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Alfred was born and raised in Ambridge, PA. He began a long career in the construction industry after WWII, and was a general contractor on such projects as the Observation Tower at Niagara Falls, NY, Hamburg High School, St. John Vianney Library, and Transit Lanes in the WNY area, and major construction of Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. The family moved to Arizona in 1960. His work in Arizona includes the radar tower facility on Mt. Lemmon, renovation of the San Xavier Mission, Marana High School and Library, government facilities on Davis Monthan, Titan Missile Silos, Canyon De Chelly, Saguaro National Monument and numerous commercial and residential projects. He was a man who enjoyed his family enormously and will be missed by his wife of 65 years, Margaret; and his children, Barbara, Alfred, Patricia, Priscilla, Dianna, Samuel, Linda; and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Mass will be held Thursday, March 2, 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church. A gathering for family and friends will be held immediately afterwards in the church hall.

WISE, John M., Jr., 58, of Tucson, released from life’s pain into God’s loving arms on February 27, 1995. He is survived by his loving wife, Hannah Wise; beloved daughters, Pamela (Brad) Kaufmann, Debra (Joseph) Parks; and beloved son, John Wise III. Also survived by mother, Marcella Wise of Williamsport, PA; sisters, Mary Louise Brisbin of Corona, CA., and Nancy Smart of Ionia, NY, plus many other loving friends and relatives. Friends may call at TUCSON MORTUARY, (Center Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., on Thursday, March 2, 1995 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be offered on Friday, 2:00 p.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1300 North Greasewood Rd. Interment will follow at South Lawn Cemetery with full military honors. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

BRIEN, John Frances, 82, of Tucson, died February 26, 1995. He is survived by sister, Josie Williams of Tucson; brother, Patrick Brien of Liverpool, England; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, with Scripture Service at 5:00 p.m. at F VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd., (1 1/2 blocks N. of Grant). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 1995 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at East Lawn Cemetery. BUCK, Jim Lee, 79, died at home in Tucson, AZ, February 25, 1995. He is survived by his wife, Janice Oppenhuizen Buck of Tucson; sons, Roy Buck of Seattle, WA; David C. Kabakoff of Atlanta, GA and R. Hamilton Kabakoff of Scottsdale, AZ; daughters, Christine Tuxbury of Seattle and Karen J. Kabakoff of Tucson; four grandchildren, three of Seattle and one of Atlanta; brother, Jack Buck of Tacoma, WA; and sisters, Claire Carbone and Doris Hawley of Portland, OR. Mr. Buck graduated from the University of Washington in 1947 with a B.A. in business economics. He did graduate work in economics, business administration, and accounting. He is a Semi-Century Sigma Chi and a member of the Tucson Alumni Chapter of Sigma Chi. During World War II, Mr. Buck was a lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard, serving as aide to the navigation officer for the 13th District. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Navy as lieutenant commander of the Military Sea Transportation Service. Mr. Buck worked for 26 years in the field of finance management and administration in Seattle, retiring as president of the Laird Norton Trust Company in 1974. He served as volunteer consultant and financial manager for St. Ann’s Nursing Home, Juneau, AK, 1980-81; director of planned giving for St. Mary’s Hospital, Tucson, 1981-1984; and executive vice-president of the Fisher Foundation, Tucson, 1984-86. Mr. Buck’s community service activities included serving as councilman and then mayor of Bellevue, WA, 1958-62; fulfilling various roles, including district commissioner and district chairman, in the Seattle Council of the Boy Scouts of America, 1947-1967; and serving on the boards of the Slingerland Foundation and the Cheswick Center (Boston, MA), the Seattle Children’s Clinic, the Tucson Orts Dance Company, the Tucson Flute Club, and the Tucson, Seattle, and Juneau Symphonies. A longstanding member of Christ the King Episcopal Church in Tucson, Mr. Buck was a lay reader, choir member, and member of the vestry as well as administrator for the parish. He served for eight years on the Diocesan Council for the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona. Mr. Buck was a collector of antique and rare flutes and a silversmith specializing in religious objects. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 1995 at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 2800 W. Ina. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Rehab Independent Living Quarters, St. Mary’s Hospital, 1601 W. St. Mary’s Rd., Tucson, AZ 85745.
