Preceded in death by husband, James J. Silver; Survived by Son, Steven (Roslyn) Silver of Phoenix; daughters, Sara (Jerry) Cohen of Tucson; Naomi (Gene) Karp of Arlington, VA, Lynne (Larry) Robbins of Thousand Oaks, CA, Rene (Jack) Ettinger of Tucson; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Silver, a resident of Tucson for 70 years, was a practicing attorney for 50 years and was the former Pima County Attorney.
Services Thursday 11:00 a.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY, with Rabbi Albert T. Bilgray officiating.

TAYLOR, Preston B., 85, of Tucson, passed away December 11, 1994.
Survived by wife, Rosie Taylor; daughters, Marlene and Deanna Taylor; sons, Rocky, Roger, Ronnie, Robert, Reginald, Richard, Eddie and Freddie Taylor; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; also survived by many loving step-children.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 1994 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (Center Chapel), 240 S. Stone Avenue with Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m.
Mass will be offered on Friday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Church.

WILLIS, Veralyn, 74, a resident of Tucson since 1962, passed away Monday, December 12, 1994.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Cindy Graupmann; son, Tom Willis; grandchildren, Leah and Wyatt Adams, Tim, Tricia, Tina, Linda, Jan, Jimmy, Tommy, and Eddie Willis; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Clarita Gillis, Pensacola, FL, and Sarah Dykes, Brooks, GA.
She was a retired teacher with 35 years of experience, the last 20 years in Sewell Elementary School.
She was a member of Saint James United Methodist Church since 1963 where she was active in church choir, bell choir, dulcimer Altars Gates strummers and many hours of dedicated service.
Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Mrs. Hudgens was a longtime resident of Tucson.

LAY, James H., born August 14, 1938 in Gypsum, KS, died Sunday, December 11, 1994 in Tucson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marsha; sons, Thomas James of Daytona, FL, Timothy Joseph of Tucson; daughters, Michelle Marie, Christine Renee Sullivan and her husband Timothy; precious granddaughter, Taylor Marie Thornton; and mother, Mildred Lay, all of Tucson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard; and an infant brother, Kenneth Lyle.
Jim was store manager of Target on Ina and Thornydale.
He was also recognized as a community service leader.
He will be sadly missed by family, friends and co-workers.

MURRAY, Dorothy A. (Dolly), 82, died November 30, 1994.
She came to Tucson in 1980 from Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
In 1981 she joined the Tucson Woman’s Club, devoting her time and energy to benefit the club.
She was a charter member of P.E.O. Chapter DL, Tucson, serving on many committees.
She was also active as a tutor for the Tucson Adult Literacy Volunteers.
A celebration of her life is being planned.

ROBINSON, Walter A., formerly of Kerrick, Minnesota, born October 31, 1913, died December 9, 1994.
Survived by wife, Dona Zajac Robinson; son, Walter Jr., daughter, Joyce Robinson (Tom) Galli; stepchildren, Donna (Calvin) Ogle, Frank (Heidi) Maciejewski, Lauralynn (Steve) Logan; and six other children from a previous marriage.
Services Friday, December 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Resurrection, 7110 S. 12th Ave., with interment immediately following.
SCHULTE, Helen B., 78, of Tucson, died December 11, 1994.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1988.
Mrs. Schulte was a cashier at Thomas-Davis Clinic for 15 years.
