ANDRADE, Rebecca Gamboa, 86, of Tucson, passed away December 12, 1994. Survived by children, Lillian Fay, Gilbert Pesqueira, Helen Martinez, Walter (Rita) Pesqueira, Eugene (Lily) Pesqueira, Fernando (Nellie) Andrade, and Irene MacLean; sisters, Mary Louise Gamboa, and Rose Martinez; brother, Hector Gamboa; also survived by 24 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 1994 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Avenue with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Friday, 9:00 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Cathedral Maintenance Fund, 192 South Stone Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85701. CECIL, CHARLES W.“CEC’ Retired Air Force Colonel, 72, of Tucson, died December 10, 1994. Survived by his lovely wife, Ruth of 43 years; son, Bill (Dianne) Kniffen of Tucson; grandson, Brett (Kathleen) Kniffen of Phoenix. Funeral Services will be held at West Minster Memorial Park, CA. “Cec’ will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He would have simply said “Tally Ho carry on old chaps’!

CHRISTIAN, Don L., 77, of Tucson, passed away December 12, 1994. Survived by wife, Alice Christian; sons, John (Chris) Christina and Thomas A. Christian; sisters, Marie Stone and Dulcie Archer; grandson, John W. Christian; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Christian worked at the Tucson Poultry Processor and the Golden Green Macaroni Company. He was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge #385. He also worked at Lockheed in CA. He was a U.S. Veteran in the Air Force and a Vendor Stocker at Davis Monthan Air Force Base. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 1994 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 1946 East Lee with Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be offered on Friday 9:00 a.m. at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. FRAIJO, Ysabel Ortiz, a lifetime resident of Tucson, went to be with the Lord on December 11, 1994. Born February 9, 1909 in Winkleman, AZ. Survived by her husband, Abraham; daughters, Carmelita Fraijo, Rosario (Hector) Ortiz, Georgina (Joe) Fregoso, Irma (Sergio) Verdugo, and Eva Fraijo; sons, Carlos Fraijo, and Jesus (Mary) Fraijo; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Almazan. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. at Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus, 4216 S. 12th Avenue. Evening Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Apostolic Assembly Church, Pastor Joseph Salcido officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

GRAY, Frances Lucile died in Tucson on December 8, 1994. Born in Carter, OK on April 28, 1920. Lifelong resident of Yuma. Graduated from Yuma High School. Served as chief operator for Mountain Bell in Yuma during World War II. Retired from the Yuma Public Library after 20 years of service. Settled in Tucson in 1991. Preceded in death by her husband, Bill, on May 10 of this year. Survived by her son, Bill (Krista) Gray of Tucson, daughter, Mary (Bill) Addington of Phoenix; sister, Elizabeth Johnston of Yuma; and four grandchildren. Graveside service was held in Yuma on Monday.

LLAMAS, Albert, 34, of Tucson, passed away December 12, 1994. Preceded in death by father, Angel “Nene’; and brother, Eddie “Lolo“ Llamas. Survived by mother, Norma V. Llamas; daughters, Christina and Allisa Llamas; sons, Albert Jr., Mario and Antony Llamas; sisters, Martha “Dofie’ Lopez, Terry (Mario) Nevarez, Brenda Medina, Sandra (Jimmy) Llamas and Maggie (Roy) Montano, Irma (Brad) Frank, Ida (Antonio) Gonzalez, Lucy “Charo’ Llamas and Barbara; brothers, Frank Valdez and Angel Lamas Jr.; beloved friend, Bonnie Narcho. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 1994 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be offered on Friday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Cathedral. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Collins, CO. Memorial Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 1995 at the Rincon Congregational Church, 122 N. Craycroft, Rev. Carl F. Schroer officiating. BALDERRAMA, Frank S. “Pancho’, 55, of Tucson, passed away December 31, 1994. Survived by daughter, Irene B. (Oscar) Martinez; sons, Steve R. (Yvette) Frank and Martin Balderrama; sisters, Mary Skinner, Julie Bustamonte, Gloria Navarrette and Evelyn Mireles; brothers, Art (Juanita) Bustamonte, Rodolfo Bustamonte, George (Sandra) Sayre, David and Paul Bustamonte; also survived by grandchildren, Steve, Denny, Brian, Ozzie and Aimee; also survived by aunts, Anna Hargis, Mary “Chuchi’ Camacho and Matilta Villa; uncle, Hector Balderrama; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 1995 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (Center Chapel), 240 S. BARRETT, Richard Howard, 79, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, December 24, 1994 at his home. He was born June 10, 1915 at Grandview (Carroll County), AR., the son of George Herman and Myrtie Mae Buker Barrett. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Toni Ann Love in 1980. He was a speech therapist and specialist in orofacial myology. He was a charter and founding member of the American Speech and Hearing Association. He received his B.A. from Curry School of Expression in Boston and a Masters of Education at the University of Arizona. He had a private orofacial myology practice in Tucson from 1960-1983. He was the first speech therapist employed by the Tucson, Arizona School System. He also taught in Paris, France; Tokyo, Japan and Mexico City. He is also the author of two textbooks written on Orofacial Myology. He was a former member of the Kiwanis Club and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a former executive director of the Cerebral Palsy Foundation in Tucson. He is survived by his wife, Anita Eggman Barrett of the home; a son, Richard Barrett II of Fayetteville, AR; a daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Don Barry of Eureka Springs, AR; four grandchildren, Robin Love Underwood of Auburndale, FL., Marc Barry and Steven Barry both of Fayetteville, AR., Traci Love of Cary, SC. Private Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were by MOORE’S CHAPEL. Memorials may be made to Friends of Hospice, c/o Washington Regional Medical Center, 1125 N. College, Fayetteville, AR 72703.

CALLICOTTE, Mary Virginia, 76, an Arizona native and long time resident of Tucson, passed away in Tucson on December 30, 1994. She was preceded in death by her husband, John N. Callicotte, Sr. She is survived by son, James of Yuma; son, John and his wife Nancy; grandchildren, Carol and John III of Tucson; sister, Betty (Gene) Gaddy of Blue, Arizona; and brother, John “Jack’ (Lorna) Marks of Tucson. Burial Services will be held in Clifton, AZ at 1:00 p.m. January 4 with a Memorial Service at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 750 W. Chapala Drive, Tucson at 1:00 p.m. on January 6. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, Southern Chapter, 1650 E. Fort Lowell, #302, Tucson, AZ 85719.

GILBERT, Stanley, 85, of Tucson, died January 3, 1995. Survived by wife, Peggy; nephew, David; and nieces, Kathy and Nancy. Mr Gilbert was a graduate of the University of Illinois and Northwestern Law School. He was Alien Property Manager for the Philippines for seven years where he was also one of five men to ever receive the Golden Hearts Award. Mr. Gilbert was also a writer of the Peace Treaty with the Japanese and American Government. There will be no services. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice. GREENHOW, Pauline E. “Polly’, 78, of Tucson, died Wednesday, January 4, 1995. Survived by husband, Edwin; sons, Jan (Karen), Jay (Diane) and Barry Greenhow; daughters, Anita (James) Murphy, and Susan (Joe) Black; 13 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Friends may call Friday, January 6, 1995 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 1995 at Palo Verde Baptist Church, 2151 N. Palo Verde Blvd., Tucson, 85716 with Pastor Bobby Lasater and Pastor Martin Jensen officiating. KIDD, Edward Evan, 73, of Tucson, passed away December 31, 1994. He is survived by his wife Thelma “Dutch’ Kidd; his sister, Verna (Henry) Azbell of Tucson; brother, Clarence Kidd; sister, Edith Harrison of Logansport, IN; his dear friend of many years, Bill Scogin; many nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Kidd was very active and very much of a leader in Fraternal organizations. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 4903, American Legion Post #36, & B.P.O.E. Lodge #2532. He was a member of The Legion of Honor Preceptory for the Arizona Association of the Order of DeMolay, a life member of Aaron Lodge #49 F.&A.M., a member of the York and Scottish Rites for the Valley of Tucson, a member of the Logansport Shrine Club, Logansport, IN., and the Sabbar Shrine Temple, which he served as Potentate in 1974. Mr. Kidd worked most of his life as Regional Manager for a Life Insurance Company and was their Man of the Year four times. He donated his body to the University Medical Center to be used for medical research. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. The family requests donations be made to the St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Foundation or to Planned Parenthood of Tucson.

KLEINSCHMIDT, John Helm, 63, passed away December 30, 1994. Survived by wife, Hazel; son, John; daughter, Sally; sister, Nancy K. Gibson; brother, Thomas D. Kleinschmidt. Resided in Picacho Peak, AZ for the last five years. Member of Casa Grande Elks Club, Eloy Lions Club and the Eloy Chamber of Commerce. Served in the U. S. Army in the Korean conflict. Memorial Mass will be said Monday, January 9, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8650 N. Shannon Rd., Tucson, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 790-2600.

LORENZEN, Larry F., 55, of Tucson, died January 3, 1995. Survived by wife, Billie Lorenzen of Tucson; children, Johnny Lorenzen of CA; Chris Lorenzen, Robin Mauldin, Donna Avery, Linda Todd, Denise Greene and Bill Hanson, all of Tucson; mother, Dorothy Sigler of Paradise, CA; brother, Jay Lorenzen of Los Angeles, CA; sister, Connie Lorenzen of Paradise, CA; and 23 grandchildren. Friends may call Friday 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.

LOWMAN, Dewey C., Jr., 67, died Tuesday, January 3, 1995. Survived by his wife, Patricia of Tucson; and two children, Deborah (Michael) Adams of Junction City, OR., and Staff Sgt. Dewey C. Lowman, 111 (Judy) with the USAF in Fayetteville, NC. There are five grandchildren, Jordan, Ian and Rachel Adams, Alexandra and Amber Lowman. Mr. Lowman having retired to North Carolina after 23 years in the US Air Force, spent his last ten years in Tucson. Memorial Services and Military Honors for Mr. Lowman will be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church (8051 East Broadway) at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 6th. Remembrances may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital in Memphis, TN. Arrangements by ARIZONA MORTUARY.
