KENDZORA, Frank Joseph, Born February 9, 1924, Mr Kendzora moved to Tucson in 1956 from Wheeling, WV. A 30 year retiree of Hughes Aircraft Corp., a member of the U.S. Army and Air force Reserves. A member of VFW, Elks and Moose Lodge, and a charter member of Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Mr. Kendzora will be deeply missed and remembered by his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth Jane; his daughter, Deborah Stodghill of Scottsdale, AZ;his son, Frank of Tampa, FL and his beloved grandsons Christopher, Taylor, and twins Cameron and Collin; three sisters, Bernice, Helen, and Jennie. A Memorial Mass at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb Road. Donations can be made in memory of Mr. Kendzora to Casa De Los Ninos, 347 E. Speedway, Tucson, 85705. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

KUNZE, Brooke Lorraine, age 17, is now healed and in the presence of her Lord. Born May 4, 1977 she died at home November 25, 1994, four and a half years after undergoing surgery for a brain tumor. Brooke was a student at Catalina High School and attended Utterback Magnet School. Performing for SALOC, school and church musical productions gave her great pleasure. She was also an active member of Chapel in the Hills Youth Group and AWANA Club. She is survived by her parents, Lothar and Nancy; her brother, Ryan; grandmother, Mildred B. Pettigrew; adoptive grandparents, Joe and Judy Wilson; aunts, uncles, cousins in Pennsylvania, California and Germany. She is also survived by her family at Chapel in the Hills. Brooke touched many lives before and after her surgery. She was especially fond of T.R.O.T. (Theraputic Riding of Tucson). The family requests donations be sent to T.R.O.T., 8920 E. Woodland Rd., Tucson, in Brookes memory, in lieu of flowers. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel in the Hills Church, 5455 S. Westover in Tucson. Interment at South Lawn Cemetery will be private. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

LINE, Grace L., 84, of Tucson, died November 26, 1994. Wife of Hubert Bush of Tucson; mother of Dr. Betty Jo Tricou of Tucson; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held at ABBEY FUNERAL CHAPEL Tuesday, November 29 at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Henry Wooten officiating. Arrangements by ABBEY FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3435 N. 1st Ave., (888-1111).

SHORE, Sean Marc, 17, of Tucson, born December 7, 1976, died November 26, 1994 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Predeceased by mother, Celia Schachter Shore. Survived by parents, Howard G. Shore and Virginia L. Yrun; sister, Samantha Shore; brother, Benjamin Ostapuk, all of Tucson; grandparents, Sophie and Nathan Schachter, Montreal, Canada, Marie and Irving Shore of Tucson, Mary Jo and Mario Yrun of Tucson; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends including Michael VanderKelen and Sarah Clarkson. Sean was a freshman honor student at the University of Arizona. Funeral Services Monday 2:00 p.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile, with Rabbi Joseph S. Weizenbaum officiating. Interment to follow Evergreen Cemetery. Pall Bearers are to be brother, Benjamin and friends, Derek Williams, Zach Inigo, Justin McLamarrah, Brad Hammond and Eric Pierson. SMITH, Franklin, 92, of Tucson, died November 26, 1994. Survived by sister, Miriam Gsell of MD; and brother, Owen Smith of IN. Tucson resident and business man since 1946. Cryptside Service will be held 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 1994 at Mausoleum of Peace, East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd.

SMEDLEY, Gladys Lee, 88, of Tucson, died November 25, 1994. Born May 21, 1906 in Lone Wolf, OK. Survived by son, Alan Smedley of Catalina; daughters, Barbara Smedley, Guinella Iverson, Pat Jensen, all of Tucson, Lahoma Jean Grimes of Midland, TX, Virginia Franklin of Savanna, GA; sister, Mary Sutterfield of Lordsburg, NM; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Graveside Services Monday, 3:30 p.m. Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.

HOWARD, Father John L., 90, of Tucson, passed away December 17, 1994. He is survived by sister-in-law, Jessica Howard; niece, Elise Henshaw; great-nieces, Lisa Chapman and Cathline Baldwin; loving friend of many. Rosary and Vigil Services will be held on Monday, December 19 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 3201 E. Presidio Road. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 20 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church with interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. KOVACH, Arlene K., 67, died December 17, 1994 at her home in Tucson, Arizona. Born in Brooten, Minnesota. Survived by her husband, Robert; sons, Kurt of Ridgewood, NJ, Stephen of Palatine, IL; and daughter, Sandra of Brighton, MI; grandsons, Neal and Paul Kovach; sister, Francis Stegink; and brothers, Gerard Kalsbeek, John Kalsbeek and Arthur Kalsbeek, all of Orange City, IA. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 21 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL. Interment will be in Desert Vista Cemetery on Thursday, December 22 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. John Fife of Southside Presbyterian Church will conduct the Graveside Service. A Memorial Service will be held at Southside Presbyterian Church at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23. MASTERSON, Dorothy Genevra, 81, of Denver CO, formerly of Tucson, died Monday, December 12, 1994. Survived by daughters, Terryl (Christopher) Woosley, and Donna Masterson, both of CO; son, Dr. Michael Masterson of NC. Interment was December 16, 1994 in East Lawn Palms Cemetery.

MONTGOMERY, Morris Mead, 92, of Tucson, passed away December 16, 1994. Survived by son, Mead (Anne) Montgomery of Winnetka, IL; grandson, Stuart Montgomery of Chicago, IL and Blake Montgomery of Winnetka, IL. Memorial Services 4:00 p.m. January 20, 1994 at Christ the King Episcopal Church. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Memorial Fund or favorite charity. RUIZ, Carlos D., 13, of Tucson, passed away December 16, 1994. Survived by mother, Olivia Lopez; and father, Eusebio Carlos Ruiz; sisters, Jennifer, Christina and Ana; and brothers, Raymond and Steven; grandparents, Margaret and Eusebio T. Ruiz; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, one nephew, Andrew Ray; and many friends. WASIKOSKI, Esther L., 83 years old, died Friday, December 16, 1994. She had been a resident of Tucson for 48 years. Mrs. Wasikoski was a defense worker for 40 years, retired from Hughes after 25 years. She is survived by sister-in-law, Luella McCaffery; nephew, Richard (Janet) McCaffery of Dayton, OH; brother-in-law, Casimer (Jean) Wasikoski of CA; nieces and nephews. Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 1994 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. Public viewing will be one hour prior to service.

LEGAN, Jr., Walter Herbert, 78, of Tucson, Az. died Dec. 6, 1994. Survived by his wife Esteleta, of fifty one years. An only son, Glen Richard Legan & daughter-in-law Judy of Tucson. Two brothers, Eldon & Bob Legan of Live Oak, Florida. Six grand-children, Jennifer, Walter, Susan, Nellie, Cindy & Roger. Three great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews & cousins. KRAFT, Ruthe Carlson, 90, of Tucson, died December 9, 1994. Survived by daughter, Elaine Carlson (Everett) Nicholson; granddaughters, Lynda DeShazer and Julie Nicholson. Ruthe came to Tucson in 1951 and married Warren Kraft in 1952, who preceded her in death in 1985. She was past president of Business and Professional Women of Tucson, assistant secretaryof TucsonFederal Savings and Loan. Retiring in the 1960's and then became associated with Adair Funeral Homes. A very caring and giving person, she contributed to those who were less fortunate. She was always positive, cheerful, had a wonderful sense of humor, and knew how to make people feel special. A very uplifting person, always trusting in the Lord. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Services will be held at DODGE CHAPEL Tuesday, December 13, 1994 at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Wayne L. North, Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiating. Internment at later date. arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel,1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

LEON, Amelia M., 74, of Tucson, passed away December 10, 1994. Survived by son, Roy V. (Maria “Cookie’) Leon of Tucson; sisters, Angie Hernandez and Aurelia Vega, both of Tucson; brothers, Ruperto (Amalia) Vasquez of Casa Grande, Alberto “Chito’ (Juanita) Vasquez of Tucson; also survived by beloved niece, Brenda Hernandez of Tucson and also many other beloved nieces and nephews and other family members. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Amanda and Michael Leon. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 1994 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. Mass will be offered Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church. Interment at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

LIA, Lucy, 82, of Tucson, died December 10, 1994. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nick. Survived by daughter, Rose (Bob) Minton; grandchildren, Rob (Sharon) Minton of Mesa, Jeff Minton of Tucson; great-grandchildren, Victoria and Nicholas of Mesa; sisters, Mary Naimo of Tucson, Josephine Siciliano of Lincroft, NJ, Eleanor Porcelli of Eatontown, NJ; brothers, Joseph Porcelli of Oakhurst, NJ, Vincent Porcelli of Red Bank, NJ; also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends. Lucy was born in Rochester, NY and she and her husband, Nick owned and operated Lia’s Jewelers in Freehold, NJ for many years. Memorial Services will be held at the Palo Verde Church of Christ, 651 S. Kolb Rd., at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13. Reception will follow in the Church Fellowship Hall. No flowers, please.
