BUNKER, Robert E., age 68, of Royal Oak, formerly of Tucson, AZ, died Monday, December 26, 1994. Loving husband of Dody (Schuler); father of Cheryl Lynn (Robert) Little, Debra L. (Clark) Bunker-Plasters and Robert E. (Ronna L.); brother of Donald C. (Lois) and Kenneth J. (Joyce); grandfather of six. Mr. Bunker retired from the Southwestern Casket Co., Tucson, AZ, in 1990 after many years in the business. Services were held at the First United Methodist Church in Royal Oak, MI. Inurnment was at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak, MI. Arrangements by Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, Inc., 810-541-4400.

ENCINAS, Carol V., 43, died December 28, 1994. Wife of Tony Encinas; mother of Cheryl, Rina, Mya and Crescencio A. Encinas, Jr.; grandmother of Nichols Encinas; daughter of Martha Villegas; granddaughter of Juan Valenzuela; sister of Robert (Pauline) Villegas, Selso Villegas, Jr., Reynaldo (Olivia) Villegas, Rita (Henry) Garcia, Yolanda (Darrel) Whitman, Sylvia (Gilbert) Suarez and Irene (Bruce) Wilson; many nieces and nephews also survive. Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 30 at the Valenzuela Home, 406 W. 35th St. Mass will be offered 8:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31 at San Xavier Mission. Burial in San Xavier Mission Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. Friday, December 30 until Service Time Saturday, December 31 at the family home. Arrangements by BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.

FLETCHER, Ronald Harvey, born March 22, 1930 in Chicago Heights, IL., died December 25, 1994 after a long illness. Beloved son of Harvey and Ruby Stricklin Fletcher; brother to Shirley Stander of Keensberg, CO; beloved husband and married to Ilene McNurlin Fletcher of Albion, NE in 1950; father of five children, Peggy, Ann Smithson, Ronald Harvey Fletcher, Jr., Coleen Gaye Cruz, Michael Leigh-Fletcher and Kathleen Kay Kloos and foster son, Victor Cruz; grandfather to Amy Lynne, Alissa Anne, Clay Randall Smithson, Jennifer Marie, Nicole Renee, Joshua David, Nathaniel Leigh Kloos, Rhonda Kay Fletcher, Kelley Jade and Patrick James Cruz. Ron moved to Tucson in 1957 from Omaha, NE and worked as a salesman for Western Lighting for 25 years. He served in the Marine Corps from 1949 until 1956 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He participated in the Dale Carnegie program and actively served the Tucson Community by helping organize Post #68. He was a Charter Member and served as a Commander for three years in Post #68. Ron also was a participant of Post #36, Post #59 and Post #7. He served in many leadership offices in the American Legion for 25 years, including District #2 commander. A Rosary and Memorial Service will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 1994. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Cave Creek, AZ. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

GRAFE, Lorraine, 76, of Tucson, died December 28, 1994. Survived by husband, Edward E. Grafe of Tucson; sister, Iris Potts of Price, UT; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY.

HAWKINS, James P., 74, passed away December 21, 1994. Survived by his wife, Gwen Hawkins of Tucson; one daughter, Sharon Hawkins of Lees Summit, MO; and one sister, Harriet Walker of Webster Groves, MO. Memorial Services will be held Voyager RV Resort Chapel on January 6, 1995 at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospital, c/o Sabbar Shrine Temple, Tucson, AZ. JAMES, Marilyn Sue, died Friday morning, December 23, 1994 at her home in Tucson, Arizona. Sue was raised in Stanberry, MO by Dr. Samuel and Maureen Simpson and lived in northwest Missouri most of her life before moving to Tucson in 1989. Sue was employed with Kino Hospital and is survived by three sons, Hal James of Columbia, MO, Robert of Yakima, WA and Kim of Tucson; two grandchildren, Libby and Mitchell; and her sister, Carojean Kirkhart of Santa Ana, CA. Memorial Services will be held at her home Friday, December 30 between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. For information call 722-9576.

LAVRISA, Stephen James, 11, went to heaven Christmas Eve, December 24, 1994. Survived by parents, Victor S. Lavrisa and Melissa M. Lavrisa; grandparents, Jean C. Martin, Victor and Frances Lavrisa; uncles, Mark, Thomas, Stephen, Daniel, James, Dane; aunts, Carole, Lois, Sonja, Sophie and numerous cousins and friends whose lives he touched and inspired. Visitation Thursday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass Friday 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tucson Medical Center Home Hospice Services in memory of Stephen J. Lavrisa.

LIENHARD, Pearl H., 63, passed away December 27, 1994. Wife of Richard Lienhard; mother, Reagan (Bonnie) Lienhard of Las Vegas and Jeffrey Lienhard of Mesa, AZ; sister of June (Roger) Westlund of CA, Jeanette (Douglas) Haydon of WI and Joan (Kenneth) Nielson of WI. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 30, 1994 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL with Dr. Wayne North officiating. Interment to follow at Desert Vista Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 30, 1994 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

MCNAMARA, Daniel Jefferson Patrick, born April 10, 1935, died December 22, 1994. Dan will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joan; his sons, John (Andrea) of Tucson and Daniel of Hawaii; grandchildren, Attie, Joshua, Alysia and Jesse. He will also be missed by the other children and grandchildren to whom he was so important – Linda Johnson of Mesa and daughters Nichole and Aimee, Eddie McNamara of Virginia Beach, VA, Cindy McNamara of Albuquerque, NM, Steven Smith and sons Jeremy and Jonothan, Daniel Smith and Connie Smith of Mesa and sons Stanley and Mitchel Sparks. Dan will be missed and remembered by his aunts, Agnes and Ruth Hagerty of South Bend, IN; uncle, John McNamara of Sarasota, FL; McNamara and Hagerty cousins; by his dear friends, Grace McNamara of Weston, CO and mother of his sons; parents-in-law, John and Ellen Stebbins of Safford, AZ; Frank McCoenico of TX, Pat Carnes, Erling Hansen, Gene Herlihy, all of Tucson; a lot of very precious twelve-step companions; Fantasy League Friends and the softball teams and staff that were such a loving inspiration to Dan in the last years of his life. Remembrances can be made to Gateway, 1810 W. Grant Rd. Suite 107, Tucson, to the University of Arizona Softball Team or the Arizona Cats Organization-University of Arizona Foundation, Flash Softball, Wildcat Club, McKale Center-Inc. MILLS, Ediana “Cindy’, 74 years old, died Tuesday, December 27, 1994 at home in Tucson. She has been in Arizona 42 years. Mrs. Mills is survived by daughter, Judith (Ralph) Bishop; daughter, Pamela (Richard) Green, both of Tucson; stepdaughter, Sandy (Ken) Scheidt of Buckeye; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was a member of A.L.O.H.A. (Adult Loss of Hearing Association). Services will be Friday, December 30 at 1:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave. Viewing to be held Thursday, December 29, 1994 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

MODLIN, Mary J., 94, passed away December 27, 1994. Mother of Kenneth E. Modlin of Tucson since 1962 and Donna Steele of Tucson for 15 years; four grandchildren back East also survive. Services and interment will be held in Matthews, Indiana. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

PEERS, James E., 92, died Wednesday, December 28, 1994. His wife Polly to whom he had been married for 52 years died in 1986. A retired taxidermist, Mr. Peers came to Arizona in 1922 from his native state of Texas by way of New Mexico where he worked as a cowboy. In Arizona he worked as a machinist for mines in Miami until he came to Tucson in 1927 and established Arizona Taxidermy on North Oracle Road. He then opened the Frontier Bar with the taxidermy shop. His taxidermy business was later moved to a different location on North Oracle Road and became Arizona Taxidermy and Swap Shop. His Frontier Bar became the Green Shack and was later known as the North Woods Restaurant. Mr. Peers is survived by a sister, Marjorie Jones; a niece, Janet Jones; and two nephews, Andrew G. Mills (Mary) of Tucson and David Mills of Safford, AZ. At the request of Mr. Peers there will be no services. Arrangements by ARIZONA MORTUARY.

QUEEN, Sara Agnes, passed away peacefully into the arms or Our Lord on November 30, 1994 surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 6, 1930 in Newfoundland, Canada, she lived in Waltham, MA until 1987 when the family moved to Tucson. Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Margaret Young; and brother, Lawrence, all of Newfoundland. Survived by her husband of 41 years, Norman; daughter, Debra of Tucson; son, Donald of Tempe; son, David of West Palm Beach, FL; sister, Doreen; and brother, Hugh, both of Newfoundland, Canada. A private Memorial Mass was held at St. Francis de Sales.

SKINNER, Charles “Charlie’, 68. Born in Highland Park, MI. Served honorably in the U.S. Navy. Charlie has been a plumber for many years in Tucson. Survived by many friends and clients. Visitation Friday from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

SLONE, Bertha Yoder, 87, of Tucson, passed away December 26, 1994. Survived by nieces, Anna Herschberger, Jennie Yoder, Bertha Grace Yoder; nephews, Elmer Yoder and Denver Yoder. Visitation will be held Friday, December 30, 1994 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Welcome Baptist Church, 617 W. Nevada. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY.

TRUJILLO, Marta Leon “Chata’, 63, born and raised in Tucson, passed away December 26, 1994. Preceded in death by sisters, Emelda T. Sosa, Olga T. Nagore; brother, Alex Trujillo; and parents Jose’ and Herlinda Trujillo. Survived by daughter, Magdalena “Nena’ Trujillo (Yolanda and son Jose’ Miguel Leyva); sons, Eli J. (Debbie) Caniglia Jr., Mark Andrew Caniglia; grandchildren, Angelica and Jessica Caniglia; sister Enedina T. (Barry) McClendon; brothers, Joe “Pepe’ (Ernestina) Trujillo, William “Guero’ (Edith) Trujillo; former husband, Eli J. Caniglia Sr.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and the many extended family members that loved and will miss Marta. We all had a special and unique bond with Auntie “YaYa’, “Ata’, “Chata’, “Shorty’, “Marty’ and so many other names given to her con carino. Her voice singing the songs we hold dear to our hearts and the laughter we so easily shared with her will continue to live on with each flicker of light she lit within us. The family owned Elysian Grove Market which was family owned since the 1920's, was her first step working por la gente, in “Barrio Jardin.’ Later she pursued a career in nursing at St. Mary’s Hospital emergency room in which she continued service for 14 years caring for and comforting many with her compassion and humor. Visitation will be Friday, December 30, 1994 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral. Interment at Holy Hope will be held in private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Casa de los Ninos.

WEINGART, Faith, 52, of Tucson, died Monday, December 26, 1994. She was a member of “The Forresters’ of NJ. Survived by husband, Thomas Weingart; children, Veronica Allen of Tucson, Thomas Weingart, Jr. of NJ, James Weingart of Tucson, Terry Galbreath of Tucson; sisters, Mariam Cannon of Tucson and Suzanne Ferguson of Tucson; brothers, Arthur John McGullam of IL, Charles McGullam of Tucson; five grandchildren; and other loving family members and friends. CLAUSE, William Owen, 79, of Tucson, died Tuesday, December 27, 1994. Survived by his children, Wanda Nichols of Tucson, William D. (Judith) Clause of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Christy (Michael) Price, Angela (Jon) Ziegler, Teresa (Monty) Peterman, Kimberly Clause; great-grandchildren, Talena, James, Jon, Zachary, Dorian, Phillip, Steven; great-great-granddaughters, Ashlee, Lea; brothers, Jimmie (Cassie) Clause, Fred Clause; sisters, Amy Martin, Edna Mae (Raymond) Volrath; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Clause was employed by Kitt Peak National Observatory from 1959 until his retirement in 1981. Visitation will be held Friday, December 30, 1994 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Funeral and Burial will be in Marshall, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army. Arrangements in Missouri will be handled by Campbell and Lewis Funeral Home, 816-886-5700.
