KERN, Kenneth, 70, of Tucson, died Wednesday, November 30, 1994. KULIG, Stanley Michael, (Steve), 76, passed away November 26, 1994 at V. A. Hospital in Tucson, AZ. A resident of Tucson for 41 years, born in Bondsville, MA on December 28, 1917. He is survived by his dear friend Mildred Polick; three brothers; two sisters; two sons; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. He was a Pearl Harbor Survivor and also Vice President of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association. He was a member of BPOE Elks Lodge # 2532 and a member of American Legion, and a lifetime member of D. A. V. Memorial Service will be held at the Elks Lodge #2532 located at 615 S. Pantano Road on December 8, at 1:00 p.m. Anyone who wishes may attend.
ORNETT, Ernest G., of Tucson, died December 1, 1994. Born February 25, 1919 in Trappe, MD to Mildred and Avery Ornett. He is a retired U. S. Air Force Major. Survived by wife, Toni (Preston); daughters, Millie of TX and Charlotte of San Francisco; brother, William Ornett; ex-wife, Helen; and son, Larry Ornett; and granddaughters, Pattie and Katie. PENNELL, Irene C., 77, resident of Tucson for 52 years, formerly of Maysville, Kentucky, died December 1, 1994. Preceded in death by her husband, Lowrey; and sister, Judith Summey. Survived by children: daughter, Carol Lynne Parham of Tucson; son, L. Thomas (Ruth) Pennell of Tucson, AZ; and daughter, Mollie June (Jeffery) Sills of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren, J. T. PICARD, Olive G., 96, died Wednesday, November 30, 1994. Widow of Joseph L. “Pic’ Picard and a Tucson resident for the past 77 years from her native state of Missouri. A retired educator, Mrs. Picard was one of the first women to earn a Master’s Degree from the University of Arizona (1920). She later taught in several Arizona high schools as well as at the U of A. She is survived by three nieces, Mary Lou Reinhardt of Tucson, Mary Jane and Patricia of Kansas City, MO; two nephews, Donald Gallatin of Triplett, MO and Robert E. Gallatin of Tucson; two sisters-in-law, Polly of California and Dorothy of Illinois. There are four grand nephews, Mark, Scott, Eric and Michael; four grand nieces, Barbara, Kim, Kathleen and Monique; five great-grand-nephews, Jay, Kip, Wes, Robert and Max; one great-grand-niece, Ellie. Funeral Services will be held in the ARIZONA MORTUARY UNIVERSITY CHAPEL, (7 East University Blvd.), at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 5th. Private interment at East Lawn Palms Cemetery. VEGA, Mercedes B., 64, of Marana, AZ, died December 24, 1994. Survived by sister, Alicia B.
