RAMIREZ, Consuelo C., 75, of Tucson, passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 1994. She was born in Twin Buttes, Arizona. Preceded in death by husband, Caesar; parents, Mariano and Trinidad Contreras; and brothers, Simon and Gilberto Contreras. Survived by daughter, Martha (Laureano) Meza of Tucson; sons, Caesar (Cathy) Ramirez of Tucson and David Ramirez of San Francisco; brothers, Ruben (Robbie) Contreras of Glendora, CA, Jesus Maria Romero of Tucson who was raised with the family; sister, Magdalena Badilla of Tucson; also survived by grandchildren, Maricela, Rebecca and Rene Meza, Alyse Marie and David Ramirez. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 1994 at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave., from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church. Interment at Holy Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Ramirez was a graduate of Immaculate Heart Academy. Life long member of Santa Cruz Parish where she taught catechism and also helped her husband Caesar on St. Vincent de Paul Society activities for many years. She was a member of the Santa Cruz Restoration Committee. Consuelo was very gracious and performed many acts of kindness throughout the years. Husband of Catalina of Tucson; father of Carmen (Luis) Maldonado of Topeka, KS, Olivia Marie Corwin of Prescott, AZ, Charlie (Barbara) Rodriguez, Estella (Jerry) Meyer, Linda (Jim) Wood and F. Ann Rodriguez, all of Tucson; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother of Margaret Matta of Mesa, AZ, Rose Salazar and Manuel Rodriguez, both of Tucson and Mary Vasquez of CA. BRADY, Joseph J., 65, died December 26, 1994. Survived by his wife, Patricia Brady of Tucson; children, Michael and Jeffery Brady, both of Tucson, Steven Brady and Shannon Beck, both of CA; nine grandchildren and one-great-grandchild; brother, Harold Campbell of IL; sisters, Marjorie Taborn of MN and Barbara Downs of IL. CALDWELL, Earl, 75, passed away on December 20, 1994, after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Celeste; son, Mark (Lauren Caldwell); daughters, Jeanie, Kathi (Jerry Crocker) and Gail (George Hallett); stepdaughters, Shaun Niel and Jane Norris; stepson, John Clark; grandchildren, Erik and Kristin Caldwell, Anne Hallett and Greg Santo. He was born in Cassville, Missouri. Mr. Caldwell had served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 20 years, from 1939 to 1959, rising in rank from private to major. During this time he served in Europe during World War II and in the Korean War. He spent seven and a half years in Germany as part of the occupation forces. Upon his retirement from the Army, he moved his family to Tucson where he completed a Master’s Degree in Social Studies at the University of Arizona. He began his second career as a Social Studies teacher and Counselor at Palo Verde High School. He retired in 1980, and divided his time between Tucson and Sequim, Washington. Earl was a loving husband, father and friend. There will be no memorial service. The family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, or a similar cancer research organization.

She retired from First Interstate Bank, was a Tucson General Hospital “Pink Lady’ volunteer, and was active in “Our Savior’s Lutheran Church’. Her survivors include a brother, James F. ERRANTE, Frances, 66, of Tucson, died Tuesday, December 6, 1994. Survived by her husband, Mario; children, Dr. Joseph (Deborah) Errante, Dr. Margaret (Mark) Errante-Crotwell, Rosanne Errante; grandchildren, Francesca, Alexandra, Vincent, Caitlin; sister, Katherine Peranio. JENKINS, Richard (Dick) B., 61, resident of Tucson for 21 years, died December 5, 1994 after a long illness. Dick is survived by his wife Betty (Pate), mother Ila Schutte, sister Sharlene Lawrence, both of Adrian, Michigan, sister Sondra Richardson of Downey, Ca., his children Debbie (Mark) Chasteen, Cindy (Randy) Palmer, Rick (Toni) Jenkins, all of Tucson; grand children Cindy (Damon) Knight, Andy Chasteen, Michelle and Carrie Palmer, Tony and Chris Jenkins. Dick was born in Adrian, Michigan where he married his high school sweetheart Betty. He served in the U. S. Air Force for 22 years as a flight engineer on C-130 transports and retired as a Technical Sergeant. Dick was a past president of the Tucson Bowling Association. JENSEN, Nels Victor, 71, of Tucson, died on December 5, 1994. LOPEZ, Schultz Elena (Helen), 72, a resident of Tucson since 1985 was called by our Lord on Friday, December 2, 1994 to rest in eternal peace. Elena was born in Nogales, AZ where she attended local schools and lived most of her life. Survived by her sons, Humberto S. Lopez, Danilo S. Lopez, and Francisco Albert Lopez, all of Tucson; her daughters, Norma Nidia Altamirano, Herlinda Armida Anderson, and Elvia Swanson, all of Nogales, Az; her beloved brother, Elbert N. Schultz, also of Nogales, AZ; two sisters, Maria Medina of Hermosillo Sonora, and Viola Barkijia of San Diego, CA; 15 grandchildren. Arrangements were handled by ADAIR-CARROON MORTUARY in Nogales, AZ, with Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was interned at Nogales Cemetery.
MCKNIGHT, Inez, 89, of Tucson, passed away Saturday, December 4, 1994. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe. Mrs. McKnight is survived by her step-daughter, Ollie (Jethro) and adopted daughters, Hattie (Joe) Ward and Elzorra (James) Phillips and families. Mrs. McKnight was a member of Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church and also a member of the Heriones of Jerricho #135.
