DUDEK, John M. “Papa John’, 75, of Tucson, died December 7, 1994. Survived by beloved wife, Mary; daughter, Helen (Richard) Grijalva; grandchildren, Rick (Jane), Bill (Debbie), David (Kendra), Debbie (Robert) Davis and P. J. Grijalva, all of Tucson; brother, Joe (Betty) Dudek; sister, Bernice Blodgett; nephew, John (Cammie) Dudek, all of Michigan; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Emily, William and Natalie Grijalva, R. J. and Brandon Davis. John was a City of Tucson police officer of 23 years ending his career as a Sgt. He served on the Tucson Rodeo Committee since 1968 and was a WWII Veteran. He resided in Tucson since 1945 and was an outstanding member of the community. He was the first policeman in Tucson allowed to wear a mustache. GROSE, Wilma Evelyn (nee Dingman), 77, died December 6, 1994 at St. Joseph Hospice of cancer. Survived by sons, Donald F. Hubbard of Tucson and William H. Archer of San Francisco; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Wilma was born in Colfax, IA on August 29, 1917, lived most of her life in Des Moines and West De Moines and moved to Tucson in 1986. She was a crossing guard for TUSD for four years. No services at the request of the deceased. Any memorial contributions should be made to American Cancer Society at her request.

YUBETA, Virginia Lopez, passed on December 6, 1994 at the age of 69. Born in Tucson, Virginia lived in San Diego for 40 years. Husband John preceded her in death nine months earlier. Beloved mother of JoAnne Watson and Vivian Jackson of San Diego, Sylvia Almac of Clear Lake, WA, John Yubeta, Jr. of Vancouver, Canada; and loving grandmother to Keith and Sean Jackson. She was the third sister of 13 children and is survived by Eva Otto, Rachel Rendon, Helen Robles, Alfonso Lopez, Elias Lopez and Billy Lopez of Tucson, Emilio Lopez of Norwalk, CA and Lloyd Lopez of Glendale, AZ. A Memorial Mass will be held at Santa Cruz Church on Saturday, December 10, 1994 at 12:00 noon with a rosary immediately following. Virginia was a beautiful, vivacious, generous lady admired and loved by all who knew her and we will miss her.
