REED, Catherine F. “Kit’, 95, of Tucson, died Wednesday, January 4, 1995. Born January 12, 1899. Survived by nieces, Betty Stober of Ohio, Mary Bowman of Maryland and Katheryn Becker of NY; as well as grandnieces and nephews. Mrs. Reed belonged to the Christian Women’s Group. SHEA, Hughie William, 84, of Tucson, passed away January 5, 1995. Husband of IvaMae. Survived by two daughters, Yvonne (Bonnie) Hefert of Louisiana and Nancy Confar of CA; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a member of Canton Ohio Federation Musicians Union. In the 30's and 50's he had his own orchestra. He moved with IvaMae and daughters to Tucson in 1947. He was a devoted Eucharistic adorer with Benedictine Adoration Church; also a member of K of C Council 1200 of Tucson. He retired from Hughes Aircraft and AGM. Friends may call 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 1995 with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at EVERGREEN MORTUARY. Mass will be offered Saturday 10:00 a.m. St. Frances Cabrini Church celebrated by Rev. Msgr Robert D. Fuller. Interment to follow Holy Hope Mausoleum. WHATTON, Anna Mae, 65, died January 1, 1995. Widow of the late Thomas E. Whatton, Sr. and a Tucson resident for the past 36 years from Pennsylvania. Survived by four children, Karen Dyer, Thomas E. Whatton, Jr. and David Whatton of Tucson and Lisa Konst of Buffalo, New York. There are seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. WRIGHT, Mary Ann, born May 8, 1920, died December 26, 1994. Survived by two nephews; and one niece. Mary was born in Chicago, moved to Tucson in 1983, retired from International Harvester after 37 years of service. She loved to play bridge, knit and casino gambling. Memorial Service will be held January 9 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 23rd & Camino Seco.
BOTTING, Cecelia C., 89, died November 22, 1994. Wife of Roland B. Botting; mother of Paul Martin (Maxine) Botting of Maryland, and Peter Anthong (Libby) Botting of Pittsford, NY; four granddaughters, three grandsons and one great-granddaughter also survive. DUNSCOMBE, Samuel Duval, 72, died November 22, 1994. Beloved husband of Ethel; loving father of Denise (Vincent) San Angelo; Daniel (Sonia) Dunscombe, Donna (Bruce) Roberson, Carolyn and James Dunscombe; loving grandfather of five precious grandchildren, Vincent and Nicholas San Angelo, Matthew Dunscombe, Julianne and Nicole Roberson; also survived by his beloved brother, Daniel Dunscombe, San Antonio, TX and beloved sisters, Edna Provance, Malden, MO and Margaret Williams of Clarkton, MO. Sam was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. GIEBNER, Robert C. On November 22, 1994, Robert C. Giebner, Professor of Architecture died after a long illness. He was 53 years old. He joined the College of Architecture in 1966 and was appointed Associate Dean in 1992. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gale; their daughters, Robin C. Giebner and Mrs. (Deena) Scott R. Lynn, both of Tucson. He is also survived by his parents, Richard and Hedi Giebner of Tucson; brothers, Richard of Clearwater, FL and Norman of Ludlow, MA; and a sister, Mrs. Robert (Mitzi) Brown of Tucson. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances to the College of Architecture Commendation of Teaching Fund being set up in his memory. Private family services were held.
