WADE, James W., 67, of Tucson, passed away November 14, 1994 in Tucson. Born January 10, 1927 in Birmingham, AL. Mr. Wade was a member of Masonic Lodge #4, Sabbar Shrine Temple, Royal Order of Jesters, and sat on the Board of Directors of the Masonic Crippled Children’s Clinic at TMC. A Navy veteran of World War II, and Korea, he retired after serving 20 years. Survived by his daughters, Jamie R. (Edward) Gilbert and Jodie A. Wade, both of Tucson; brother, Wallace Wade of IA; two nephews; the mother of his two daughters, Connie J. Wade; fiancee, Louise White, both of Tucson; seven grandchildren. GRAHAM, Margaret Alice (Menager), passed away in Mason City, IA on November 14, 1994. Mrs. Graham was born in Tucson on December 7, 1922. She was the daughter of Louis and Aurelia Avila Menager, life-long residents of Tucson and the granddaughter and great granddaughter of pioneer Tucsonans. She graduated from Tucson High School in 1941 and married her husband, Maurice Graham on October 25, 1945. Mr. and Mrs. Graham moved to Iowa where they farmed and raised their family. Following her husband’s death, Mrs. Graham returned to Tucson in 1980 and lived here until shortly before her death. Mrs. Graham is survived by her children, Michael Graham, George Graham, Sandra Graham Long and Maurice Graham; 12 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She is also survived by one sister, Mary Menager Smith of Palos Verdes, CA; four brothers, Louis Menager, Tucson, Edward Menager, Downey, CA, John Menager, Los Angeles, CA and Arthur Menager, El Monte, CA as well as many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her husband; and one brother, Hector Menager. Services will be held on Thursday, November 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Whittemore, IA.
KEPHART, Hammond Luther, 70, of Tucson, passed away November 9, 1994. He retired from the Pacific Fruit Express Company as Chief Clerk. He is survived by his wife, Jean of Tucson; sisters, Mary Jane Albert and Oneida Stevenson; brothers, Virgil Lynn Kephart and Jerry Thurston Kephart, all of Maryland. He was preceded in death by sister, Beverly Wenner; and brothers, Rowland Kephart, and E. Wayne Kephart. Mr. Kephart was a longtime Booster of The Tucson Toros. He was a member of the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees and Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Funeral Services were held in Boonsboro, MD. A Memorial Service for Mr. Kephart will be held Saturday, November 19 at 3:00 p.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church (Campbell at Helen) with the Rev. Charles Riggs officiating. LOPEZ, Luz C., 82, of Tucson, passed away November 15, 1994. Luz was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ramon G. Lopez. Their surviving children are, Arthur (Lizy) Lopez, Richard (Lucy) Lopez, Mary (Mike) Hall and Raymond (Irene) Lopez; ten adoring grandchildren, Richard Lopez Jr., Audrey Lopez, Mike Lopez, John Lopez, Neal Daniels, Brittney Hall, Melisa Lopez, Jamie Lopez, Randy Lopez and Byran Lopez. Survived by her only sister, Carmela Cruz; and many dear and loving nephews and nieces. Pall Bearers: Arthur Lopez, Raymond Lopez, Richard Lopez, Richard Jr., Mike Lopez, John Lopez, Neal Daniels, Mike Hall and Philip Cruz. Luz was a loving and caring mother. WISE, John H., 64, of Tucson, died Tuesday, November 15, 1994. Survived by wife, Darlane; children, Bonnie Wise, Brooke Wise, Donald J. Wise, John Michael Wise; stepchildren, Ranae Guerrero, Craig Miller; brothers, Ben Wise, Bill Wise, Don Wise; sister, Peggy McFarland, Barbara Simms. Mr. Wise retired as a Lieutenant in 1978 from the Indianapolis Police Dept. after 23 years of service. After retirement Mr. Wise moved to Tucson and was employed by Lincoln Green Properties. BENJAMIN, Virginia, 71, of Tucson, died December 21, 1994. She is survived by her son, Harold G. Stevenson, and loving friend Nancy Tyson, both of Tucson; brothers Emanuel Athill of VA and Ernest Athill of the Dominican Republic; sisters Lucrecia Hansen, Dina Howard and Beatriz Athill of VA and Ada and Ruth Athill of NY. Virginia was a long-term resident of Tucson, where she made many friends. She will be remembered fondly for her gentle kindness and contributions to her church, and will be sadly missed by everyone whose life she touched. Anna A. Cosentino 59, of Tucson, passed away peacefully into the arms of Our Lord on December 20, 1994 at home surrounded by the love of her family. Beloved and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She had great love, faith and trust in Our Lord. She was born on August 2, 1935 in Italy. She emigrated to the United States after marrying her husband, Bruno, in 1955. She lived in Canton, Ohio until 1975, when the family moved to Tucson. She was known by many as Mrs. Bruno, working side by side with her husband at Bruno Custom Tailors and Men’s Wear for 17 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Luigi Armogida, and brother, Armando Armogida, both of Italy. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Bruno; daughter, Catherine; son, Andrew; son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Donna; five granddaughters, Mari, Anna-Marie, Suzanne, Brianna and Catherine, all of Tucson. In addition, she is survived by her mother, Maria Antonietta Armogida of Italy; mother-in-law, Caterina Cosentino of Tucson; brother Enrico Armogida of Italy; brother, Salvatore Armogida of Ohio; sister, Catherine Cosentino of New York; sister, Cecilia Limardo of Italy; and brother, Giovanni Armogida of Italy.
