WEST, Paul Anthony, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 1994 at the age of 25. He is survived by his beloved Mother and Father, Michael and Darlene West; dear brother, James L. West; sister, Michelle L. West; grandparents, Kenneth and Irena West of Tucson, Lydia Ironstar of Mission, South Dakota; also niece, Lydia West; and nephew, Jesse West of Tucson. Memorial Service will be held at St. Michael’s and All Angels Episcopal Church, 602 N. Wilmot Rd., Saturday, October 15, 1994 at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY.

WINDAUER, Margaret D., 77, joined her husband, Joseph in God’s arms October 11, 1994. Mother of Karyn Camden and Deborah Windauer; grandmother to Keri Ann, Tania Rae and Sean Camden and Karl Windauer, all of Tucson since 1959. Family suggests donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN. Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 14 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

BRASHER, Jimmy Dale, 27, of Marana, went to be with his Lord and other loved one on October 10, 1994. He is survived by his mother, Mary Brasher of Marana; father, Jim Brasher of Carlsbad, NM; brother, Ty; sister, Melissa; nephew, Adrian; niece, Mariah; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial Service will be Saturday, October 15, 1994, 11:00 a.m., at The Church of Mankind, 1231 S. Van Buren, Tucson.

DAVIES, Willie Mae, born December 11, 1909 in Texarkana, Arkansas, died October 12, 1994 in Tucson. Mrs. Davies was a 50 year resident of Tucson and was preceded in death by her husband, Frank and sister, Roberta Washington. Survived by nieces, Teadie Mae Crain and Floretta Smith, both of Rison, Arkansas, Christine Henry of Dallas, Texas; cousin, Robert Lee Ross of Pasadena, CA; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Davies was a charter member of the Southside Missionary Baptist Church, serving as Sunday School Treasurer, helped raise money to build the church and was an important member of the congregation. Mrs. Davies was a member of the Daughter Elks, Pilgrims Rest Temple #477 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at Southside Missionary Baptist Church, 1330 S. 2nd Ave. with Rev. Choyace Coleman and Pastor Keith Graham officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. The Daughter Elks, Pilgrims Rest Temple #477 will hold services at 6:00 p.m. (during the visitation) Friday.

HEISEY, Arlene Ester, 81, of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, died October 13, 1994. Survived by children, John Lee Heisey of Tucson, AZ and their six children and six grandchildren, Faye Love of Dillsburg, PA and their two children and 4 grandchildren, Jean Shreiner of Tucson, AZ and their four children and 10 grandchildren and Carl Heisey of Lebanon, PA and their four children and 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Fannie Nye of Palmyra, PA and Beatrice Dunk of Lebanon, PA. Preceded in death by husband, Ralph B. Heisey, Auctioneer. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Living Waters Assembly of Ebenezer. Services will be held at Rothermell Funeral Home in Palmyra, PA with Pastor Culver and Pastor John Ludwick officiating. Interment will follow at United Christian Cemetery, Cambelltown, PA. Local arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. @ Magee.

HINKLE, Arlene, 90, of Tucson, died Wednesday, October 12, 1994. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hinkle was a graduate of Cottey College in MO and the University of Oklahoma. She was a member of the Assistance League of Tucson, University of AZ Foundation, Skyline Country Club, PEO Chapter W and Alpha Chi Delta Sorority. Private services were held. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

LEACH, Frances E., 85, died October 12, 1994. Mrs. Leach was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph. She is survived by one daughter; three grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; one sister; and one brother. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 17, 1994 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, with Pastor Mike Wilde officiating. Interment to be in Lebanon, Indiana. OSKVAREK, Thomas Alexander, 53, of Tucson, passed away October 7, 1994. Survived by his wife, Pauline Witbeck Oskvarek; sons, Thomas and Matt Oskvarek; his mother Rose Janovsky; sisters, Rose Marie Marker, Fran Martz and Ann Linquish; brother, Edward Oskvarek. Memorial services were held at his house on Sunday, October 9th. Cremains to follow.

ROMANICK, Leona M., 89, of Tucson, died October 12, 1994. Mother of, John E. Garrison of Pueblo, CO, Ruth M. Livingston, of Garden Grove, CA; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Scripture Service at ABBY FUNERAL CHAPEL on Friday, October 14, at 7:00 p.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, October 15, at 8:00 a.m. Interment Holy Hope Cemetery. SHAW, Richard J., 89, of Cochise, died October 11, 1994. Born June 19, 1905 in Decatur, IL. He was a retired Agriculture Engineer, a member of the Arizona Historical Society, Honorary Apache Tribal member, Alumni Emeritis for the University of Arizona. Preceded in death by first wife, Patricia Wadleigh Shaw, in 1981; son, Richard A. Shaw in 1986. Survivors include wife, Marie of Cochise; daughter, Nancy S. Curtis of Nogales; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous cousins. Memorial Services Sunday 11:00 a.m. in conjunction with Sunday Services, Trinity Lutheran Church, 111 N. Bisbee, Willcox, AZ, with Pastor David Morgan officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Historical Society in memory of Richard J. Shaw. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY.

TREUMANN, Bette N., 73, of Tucson, passed away October 10, 1994. Born July 31, 1921 in Grafton, ND. She was Valedictorian of her high school class, a member of Delta Gamma sorority, and an alumnae of UND. She moved to Tucson in 1957 when her husband was transferred to DMAFB, was active in the Officers’ Wives Club at DM, and was an avid bridge enthusiast. Preceded in death by her husband, Maj. Manville “Manny’ Giles Treumann, and grandson, Adam Mortenson. Loving mother of, Bill N. (Shari) Treumann, Barbara J. (Dennis) Crowley and Mary E. Mortenson, all of Tucson. Survived by her father, W.E. Neilson, and sisters, Eleanor Swartz and Merle Fedje, all of Grafton, ND. Also survived by her five grandchildren, Beth (Treumann) Ballweg, Neil Treumann, Stacie Treumann, Andy Mortenson, Matthew Mortenson; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by many. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., at 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 1994.

ZELLER, Carl, 70, son of Carl and Theresa Zeller, and a longtime resident of Arizona, died at the family summer home in Oklahoma on Tuesday, October 11, 1994. He loved the summer months on the Grand Lake of the Cherokees, and will be missed by his many friends there. The family spent the winter months in Tucson. He is survived by his wife, Jody; one son, Chris of Tucson, and grandson, Derek. Also surviving are his two sisters, Eleanora Free of Oswego, KS and Lydia Davis of Woodinville, WA. He retired after 33 years with El Paso Natural Gas Company. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church, 4725 E. Pima St., Saturday, October 15, 1994 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.

ANDERSON, Dr. Floyd E., 78, of Tucson, joined his wife Elizabeth in the Lord on September 22, 1994. Dr. Anderson was born on October 16, 1915 in Racine, WI and received his PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Michigan, and retired to Tucson in 1978. Survived by daughter, Christine L. Hawley; and six grandchildren, Trever, Stephen, Alison, Elizabeth, Margaret and Luke. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Racine, WI.

BOICE, Howard Elliott, a longtime Arizona resident and a pioneer in the post-World War II construction industry, died Thursday, October 13, 1994. He was 81 years old. Mr. Boice was born in LaGrange, Illinois, the son of Harry W. and Harriet Boice. He earned his bachelor of engineering degree from the University of Arizona in 1937. On December 4, 1937 he was married Caroline Carson with whom he had four children. He worked for Phelps Dodge Mining Company at the Copper Queen Mine in Bisbee for several years before moving to Phoenix in 1940 to begin a career in building construction. During WWII he served in the U.S. Navy as a Lt. aboard the U.S.S. White Plains, an aircraft carrier in the Pacific. Following the war he worked for Del E. Webb Construction Co. in Phoenix as chief of operations. During his tenure with Webb, he was responsible for construction of numerous valley landmarks including St. Joseph Hospital, Phoenix Towers and the Republic and Gazette Building as well as numerous other large projects across the U.S. He retired in 1978 as Vice President of the Valley National Bank after 10 years in charge of Property Management. He is survived by his sister, Betty Grim of Sun City; four children, Howard (Mary Grace) of Phoenix, Carson (Warren) Rustand of Tucson, Margaret (Micky) Foster of Denver, CO and Jim (Sally) of Chico, CA; 26 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. A private family Memorial Service will be conducted Sunday, October 16 at the Rustand Home, 5750 E. Santa Fe. Donations are directed to the University of Arizona Foundation. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

BOYCE, Rose F., 88, died October 13, 1994. Survived by her son, Grover (Carolyn) Kane of Patagonia; daughters, Frances (Bob) Strunk and Joan (Tom) Wood, both of Tucson; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Gordon Farley of Nogales. Family suggests donations to the Arthritis Foundation, 6464 E. Grant Rd., Tucson 85712. Graveside Service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 18 at Patagonia Cemetery, Patagonia, Arizona with Pastor John Jenkins officiating. CONLEY, Willard John, 84, of Tucson, AZ, passed away October 13, 1994. Preceded in death by daughter, Louise Conley. Survived by his wife, Sally; children, Dr. Michael Conley of Palo Alto, CA, Dr. Mary Ellen Conley of Memphis, TN, John (Jackie) Conley of Chicago, IL, William (Anja) Conley of Dusseldorf, Germany; grandchildren, Melanie, Caroline, Gillian and John; brother, Dr. Robert Conley of Mankato, MN; sisters, Helen Brown of Mobridge, SD, Marian Baker of Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 1994 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd. Funeral Mass will be Monday, October 17, 1994 at 1:00 p.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1300 N. Greasewood, Tucson, AZ. Burial will be in Kansas City, MO. FIELDS, Kenneth G., born July 12, 1909 in Marietta, Ohio, died Thursday, October 13, 1994 in Tucson. Survived by his wife, Irene; son, David C. Fields and his wife, Mary Alice Fields of Clarkston, MI; grandchildren, Joanne McGrath of Fenton, MI, Wesley D. Fields of Los Angeles, CA, Christine L. Cox of West Bloomfield, MI; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Fields was a senior life member of Tucson Lodge #4, F and A.M., and was well known in the local business community. Friends are invited to Funeral Services which will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 1994. Visitation will be at the Chapel one hour prior to the service. Masonic Graveside Services and Interment will follow the service at East Lawn Palms Cemetery. The family requests donations be made, in lieu of flowers, to either the American Heart Association or to a charity of choice.

GODINEZ, Juan F., 74 of Tucson, passed away October 12, 1994. Survived by wife, Socorro M. Godinez; daughters, Beatrice (Alex) Leon and Irma (Garry) Woodward; sisters, Cande Lara, Herlinda Roubion and Herminia Rivera; brother, Jose D. Godinez. Also survived by seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 1994 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Monday, 9:00 a.m., at St. Augustine Cathedral. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

JORDAN, James Patrick, 76, of Tucson, died Thursday, October 13, 1994. Born August 12, 1918, in Buffalo, NY. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Dorothy; and his children, Kate (Charles) Moss, James Jr. (Jessica), Kristen, Daniel (Diann) and Michael (Cheryl); his grandchildren, James III, Jeremy Moss, Justin, Andrew Moss, Lindsay, Kelsey, Nathan and Bryan; also his nephews, Charles Drury; and his nieces, Marcia Di Carli and Laura Sykes, all of CT. Mr. Jordan attended Canisisus College, and graduated from the University of Buffalo. His career as Controller/Treasurer of department stores in New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania stand 32 years. He moved to Tucson in 1978, and continued his business career as an auditor with Howard Schultz and Associates. Mr. Jordan was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Lions Club. Friends may visit at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 5150 N. Valley View Rd., on Sunday, October 16 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, October 17, at 8:00 a.m. Father Todd O`Leary, celebrant and Father Tim Howard, Knights of Columbus Chaplain, as co-celebrant. Interment follows at Holy Hope Cemetery.
