Also 11 grandchildren; dear brother, Robert (Alice) Merkel of CA; and sister, Dolores of CA; life time best friends, Walter and Dolores Kennedy. VELASQUEZ, Josefina V., 82, of Tucson, passed away September 19, 1994. Survived by daughters, Maria Gloria (Oscar) Calvillo and Olga S. (Roberto B.) Jaramillo; son, Juan V. (Olga L.) Sandoval; sisters, Dolores and Maria Valencia. Also survived by 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 21, 1994 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, North Chapel, 204 South Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be offered Thursday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Cathedral. BERRYMAN, Wanda A., 75, resident of Wilcox, AZ 43 years, joined Our Heavenly Father September 18, 1994. Survived by her husband of 58 years, James G. Berryman; five children, Gerald (Sherry) Berryman of Willow, AK, Sue (Terry) McCarthy and Joyce (Donald) Gravning of Tucson, Erroll (Gayle) Berryman of Salem, OR, and Karen Easthouse of Prescott, AZ. Also survived by nine grandchildren, Gregory, Houston, Connie, Coby, Dawn, Damon, Heidi, Dylan and Krystal; seven great-grandchildren, Kristen, Jonathan, Stephanie, Angela, Holly, Bryce and Sean; and brother, Robert Bruce Milton of Hemet, CA. Friends may call Thursday, September 22, 1994 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Graveside Services will be 9:00 a.m. Friday at East Lawn Palms Cemetery with Rev. BRANDT, Michael Jerome “Jerry’, Lt. Col, U.S. Army, Ret., 80, of Tucson, passed away September 20, 1994. Preceded in death by his wife, Aloyse, and his son, Mark Peter. He is survived by his children, Michele A. (Jim) Lundy of Phoenix, Michael J. (Rose) Brandt, Martin G. (Lisa) Brandt, Maureen (Pat) Marum, Matthew (Brenda) Brandt, Maryce Brandt, Marlene (Scott) Field, Marielle (Dennis) VanDermeer, all of Tucson; 20 grandchildren; sister, Virginia M. Brandt of Tucson. He was a 28 year veteran of the U.S. Army and was involved in the D-Day Invasion. He retired from the Army in 1959, and then worked for the State Department of Public Welfare, and then for 15 years for Catholic Community Services where he worked with Adoption Services and the Cuban Refugee Program. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteered for Meals on Wheels, the VFW Scholarship Committee, St. Vincent DePaul, Tucson Retired Officers Association, and other various youth groups. Both Jerry and his late wife Aloyse were volunteers for 17 years at Via Marina Nursing Home where the both acted as Eucharist Ministers. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 21, 1994, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 22, 1994 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, with Fr. Robert Fuller officiating Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m. Ft. Huachuca Cemetery with Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salpointe Catholic High School Financial Aide Fund, 1545 E. Copper St. Tucson, AZ 85719. CISNEROS, Raine M. “Gingi’, 55, of Tucson, passed away September 17, 1994. Survived by wife, Dolores Acuna Cisneros; daughter, Doraine Kaufmann; sister, Bernice M. Caballos; brothers, Daniel M. and Gerardo M. Cisneros; grandson, Kristopher; and granddaughter, Sara. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 1994 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Saturday, 9:00 a.m., at St. Augustine’s Cathedral. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. COOLEY, Thomas J., born April 29, 1914 in Cohoes, NY. Graduate of Fordham University, NY, attended Graduate School at the University of New Hampshire. Moved to Tucson June of 1975. Preceded in death by wife, Margery Batchelder, son, Neal and daughter Patricia. Survived by sons, Dr. Thomas S. (Patricia) Cooley of Rochester, NY, and Christopher P. (Ann) Cooley of Carrolton, TX; brothers, Joseph A. of Cohoes, NY, and James G. of PA; also survived by granddaughter, Frederica Pratt of Perth, Australia; grandsons, Arron, Joshua, Noah, Ryan and Andrew. Cooley served as Executive Director of United Way of New Britton, CT, Executive Director of Community Foundation of New Britton, President of United Way of CT. He served as consultant to the Governors Commission of Human Services in CT and was a member of the Transition Task Force for Governor Elect Ella Grasso of CT. He was President of the New Britton Rotary Club. In Tucson Cooley served as Director of Development and Community Relations at Tucson General Hospital from 1975 to 1979 before founding Community Service Consultants, specializing in Not for Profits Organizations throughout the United States. For five years preceding his death, he was a volunteer consultant with the International Executive Service Corps in Guatemala, Philippines, Jamaica and Costa Rica. Services will be held at St. Cyrils Catholic Church, Pima and Swan, at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 1994. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Way of Greater Tucson, P.O. Box 13290, Tucson, AZ 85732.

DAVIS, Kimberly A., 33, died Friday, September 16, 1994 due to complications from a liver transplant. Survived by her father, James; mother, Margaret; brothers, Allen and Charles; sisters, Rebecca and Kari, all of Detroit, MI area. Kimberly was a Senior Associate Programmer for IBM. A Memorial Service was held Monday Evening. Funeral Service will be in Michigan on Thursday, September 22. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Liver Transplant Research, U of A, AHSC Development Office, 1501 N. Campbell, 85724.

DeGRASSE, Robert W., 67, of Tucson, died September 17, 1994. Survived by daughter, Vicky Mayers; granddaughters, Christine Mayers and Tiffany Mayers, all of Tucson; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Friends may call Thursday, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd., where Services will be held 12:00 noon, Friday. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery.

DUNHAM, Herbert E., 88, of Tucson, died Monday, September 19, 1994. Survived by sons, Bob Dunham of Mexico, Gene Dunham of Tucson; grandchildren, Rebecca, Ronald, Kemmel, Edward, Brian, Rachel and Elizabeth; great-granddaughter, Loretta Marie. Mr. Dunham was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Eva in 1984. He has resided in Tucson for the past 70 years. Mr. Dunham was a charter member and also a life member at B.P.O.E. #2478 in Kearny, AZ. He has been a member of the Elks for 63 years. Services will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), on Saturday, September 24, 1994 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Stuart Wilson of Christ Community Church and B.P.O.E. #385 officiating. Interment will be private. LOPEZ, Francisca C., 72, of Tucson, passed away September 20, 1994. Survived by husband, Antonio Lopez; daughters, Maria McKean, Antonia (Lazaro) Carino, Gloria Lopez Carino and Elena (Rafael) Lara; son, Francisco (Irene) Lopez. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. MERCER, W. Thomas, 67, of Oro Valley, AZ, died September 18, 1994. He is survived by wife, Ruth Mercer of Oro Valley; daughters, Carol Mercer of Anaheim, CA, Pamela (John) Brumfield and grandson, David Brumfield of Tucson, AZ; sister, Virginia (Eugene) Judd of Goldsboro, NC; niece, Linda Judd of Fredericksburg, VA. Survived by step-son, Jack Coleman of Tucson; sister, Eva Garner of Tucson; two brothers, Holmer Weimer of Las Vegas, NV and Warren Weimer of Jamul, CA; three grandchildren, Mary Ann Brainard, John Coleman and JoAnn Woodcock, all of Tucson; seven great-grandchildren.
