HANEY, Elmer Robert, 70, of Tucson, passed away June 8, 1994. Survived by wife, Peggy Haney; daughter, Luann M. (Steven J.) Wyly; sons, Scott W. (Susan), Kent R. (Vicki Clare) Haney, and Thaut Nguyen; four grandchildren, Chris and Robert Haney, Tate and Tess Wyly. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 1994, at TUCSON MORTUARY, (Center Chapel), 240 S. HOFFMAN, Philip A., 74, Lt. Col USAF, retired after 28 years of active duty and six years active reserve, passed away June 8, 1994. He is proceeded in death by his son, Brad in July 1993. Survived by wife, Phyllis; daughters, Cheryl Potter of Kingman, AZ, Dene Mathis of Barrington, IL, Pamela Rassmussen of Tucson, and Kayla Kosa of The Woodlands, TX; 14 grandchildren and on great-grandson; and sister, Elizabeth McLaughlin of Tucson. Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, 1994 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 9252 E. 22nd Street, with Rev. Fred Wood officiating. Remembrances may be made to the memorial fund at Immanuel Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by Hudgel’s SWAN FUNERAL HOME, 22nd and Swan.

PUCKETT, Ray Jr., 68, of Tucson, died Thursday, June 9, 1994. Survived by his wife, Margaret of Tucson; children, Timothy Ray Puckett of Dunedin, FL, Avis L. (Jerry) Hoof of Tucson; and a sister, Frances. For many years, Mr. Puckett owned and operated service stations in Indiana. After moving to Tucson he owned and/or operated various Big Tee Family Restaurants. Later he was employed in the Physical Resources Dept. at the University of Arizona until he retired in 1991. Funeral Service 9:00 a.m. Monday, June 13, 1994 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., with Pastor Mark Harris of Bear Canyon Community Church officiating. Interment will follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel Monday, one-half hour prior to the service.

RIGNEY, Betty J., 89, died June 10, 1994. Survived by her sons, Otis C. (Judy) Rigney of Tucson, George Pfeiffer of Dayton, OH and William Pfeiffer of Bucyrus, OH; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Rigney was a graduate of Palmer Chiropractic College, Davenport, IA. She retired in 1964 after 60 years in practice. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Tucson, owner of Evergreen Motel in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and owner of Jefferson House Apts. in Tucson. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the Tucson Baptist Temple. Funeral Service 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12 at Tucson Baptist Temple, 1525 S. Columbus Blvd., with Rev. Louis Johnson officiating. Interment will take place in Columbus, Ohio. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

SINGER, Ruby M., 81, of Tucson, died Wednesday, June 8, 1994. Survived by loving husband, Joel and many friends. Ruby was a devoted member of the Mountain Avenue Church of Christ, a member of Sun-N-Sand Train Club of Scottsdale, AZ. She was a respected board member of the A.U.C. of Arizona and National N.M.R.A. family member. Ruby was a talented and recognized artist of handmade crocheted items. She will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be held 9:00 a.m. Monday, June 13, 1994 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave., with the Rev. Dan Rhoades officiating. Interment following at South Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Mortuary.

HAAG, Gloria M., 59, of Tucson, died June 8, 1994. Survived by son, Stan (Gwen) Haag; daughter, Cynthia (Hal) Smith; father, Caesar Shepp, all of Tucson; and three grandchildren. Services Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at Holy Hope Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. William Dougherty of St. Cyril’s Church officiating. Interment Holy Hope Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY, N. Oracle and W. Miracle Mile.

HEIDEMANN, Frank E., 55, resident of Tucson, passed away Sunday, June 5, 1994. Survived by sons, Eric and Scott of Tucson; parents Bernard and Geraldine Heidemann; and brother, Raymond Heidemann. Services were held at EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY.

MCCLURE, Robert H., 78, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, went to be with the Lord on June 6, 1994. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Vivian McClure of Tucson; also survived by his children, Robert H. (Farel) McClure, Jr. of Bellevue, WA, Cheryl V. (Frederick) Wood of Tucson and Jay C. (Denise) McClure of Phoenix; grandchildren, Heather and Hillary McClure of WA, Thatcher, Graham, Maria and Adelaine Wood of Tucson, Ashley and Matthew McClure of Phoenix. Robert was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church of Tucson, he was also an elder in the Knoxville Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh and a member of the Masonic Lodge 287, Pittsburgh, PA. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 9252 E. 22nd St., with the Rev. Frederick J. Wood, the Rev. Robert H. McClure, Jr. and the Rev. William R. Hayes officiating. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given the Immanuel Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

RASOR, Rhonda Michelle, 19, passed away June 9, 1994. Survived by her son, Ryan; mother, Rose; father, Robert; sister, Rebecca; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and grandparents. Memorial Services at DESERT ROSE FUNERAL HOME, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11. Flowers may be sent or donations made to American Cancer Society or TMC Hospice.

TELLEZ, Isabel V., 83, of Tucson, passed away June 8, 1994. Survived by husband, Angel F. Tellez; daughter, Ophelia Fletcher; sons, Angel R. (Naomi), Santiago, Walter (Czarina) and Hector (Christina) Tellez; sisters, Mercy Rojas, of El Paso, TX; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 1994 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Avenue with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Saturday, 8:30 at St. Augustine Cathedral. Interment at Holy Hope Cemetery. DAVIS, Carletta Grace, 96, of Tucson, went to be with the Lord on June 7, 1994. Survived by daughter, Norma Jones of Tucson; son, Wayne S. (Betty) Davis of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Stan Jones II, Mikeal, Ken, Tricia, Sondra, Janine, Susan, Steven and Shirley; great-grandchildren, David, Cheryl, Michelle, Ken, Jon and Rebecca; great-great-grandchildren, Bobby, Carletta, Melissa and Lauren. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd (at Speedway) from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 1994. HOLLEMAN, Anne J., born July 7, 1902 (91) in Penn Yan, New York, passed away June 3, 1994 in Tucson, AZ. She is the widow of the late Robert W. Holleman. She is survived by her son, Robert W. Holleman Jr. (Margaret); grandsons, David L. Holleman of Orlando, FL, Christopher Holleman of Oracle, AZ; granddaughter, Dr. Linda (Joseph) Demer of Los Angeles, CA; great-grandsons, Gregory Robert Demer and Eric Martin Demer, both of Los Angeles, CA. There will be a memorial at St. Phillips in the Hills Church during the 5:30 p.m. service on Sunday, June 12, 1994. She will be buried at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke in Orlando, FL. Arrangements by VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 327-6341.

LEE, James Archie, 87. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 1994, 9:00 a.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL. Interment will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Lee was born in Florien, Louisiana, May 25, 1907. He died June 6, 1994 at Rehoboth McKinley Christian Hospital. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mammoth, Arizona. He was the wood superintendent for the Prestridge Lumber Company in Alamogordo, New Mexico, for a number of years and then was the manager of the National Gypsum Company in Mammoth, Arizona until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Edna Lee of the family home in Gallup; three daughters, Betty Holmberg of Fort Mohave, Arizona; Peggy Capps of Conroe, Texas; Pat Gill of Gallup, NM; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edward Lee and Mary Elizabeth Lee; son, Thomas Lee; five sisters, Gladys Hall, Nancy Phelps, Alice Airhart, Lorena Talbot and Emma Davis. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, T.J. Lee, Doug Lee, Heather Balok, Melissa Lee, Stephen Gill, Shaun Gill, Shannon Gill and Lisa Le Compte. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Randal Whiteside, Michael Whiteside, Tammy McKinnon, Randy Capps, Robie Capps, Rita Freeman and Rhonda Schnitzius. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association, 1330 San Pedro NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87108 or American Lung Association, 216 Truman NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87108.

MAUZY, Bewel “Curly’, 86, of Creswell, Oregon, formerly of Tucson, died Tuesday, June 7, 1994 in Creswell. Survived by his children, Vernon Mauzy of Tucson; Lynnette Stanley of Cresswell, OR; John Mauzy of Sandy, UT; sisters, Yula Chapman of Lewiston, ID; Helen Redmond of Tucson; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 11, 1994 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Interment will follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel one hour prior to the service.

RICHARDSON, Lourene Hanser, died Tuesday, June 7, 1994 at the Forum in Tucson. Mrs. Richardson had lived in Tucson for 42 years. Her husband of 59 years, Carl Bonham Richardson, a retired geologist, died May 24, 1993. She was born June 23, 1911 in Edwardsville, IL. She was a member of Chapter W of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and Trinity Presbyterian Church. Lourene Richardson loved her family and many friends and will be greatly missed by them. Survivors include her son, Bonham Richardson of Blacksburg, VA; daughter, Lucy Masterman of Kansas City, MO; four granddaughters, Eliza and Lucy Richardson of Blacksburg, VA, Carrie Masterman of New York City, NY, and Shelby Masterman of Kansas City, MO. The family invites friends to attend a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 1994 at the ARIZONA MORTUARY, 7 E. University Blvd.

ROTHROCK, Everett Harrison, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, September 14, 1918, passed away Sunday, June 5, 1994 at the VA Hospital. WWII Navy Veteran, area developer, architect and artist in Kansas City, MO, member of Leawood Lions Club, Boy Scout leader, charter member of Holmeswood Baptist Church, lover of outdoors and photography. Burial in Teculah, Texas. Surviving children, Everett, Jerry, Jean Bloom, Carol Carter, David and Cheryl Steinbrecher; surviving brother, Rex of Jacksonville, Texas. Memorial Services 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 10 at Unity of Tucson, 3617 N. Camino Blanco. Remembrances may be made with donation to American Diabetes Association.

STEARNS, Charlotte M., age 89, passed away June 6, 1994. Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur E. Stearns; and daughter, Anna Lea Miller. Survived by son-in-law, Ronald Miller of Ft. Wayne, IN; granddaughters, Rachel Boitano of Teinan, Taiwan, Renee Boitano; and great-grandson, Stacey Boitano, both of San Francisco, CA; brothers, Munday K. and Price W. Curd, both of Tucson, William Munday of Sun Valley, NV; sisters, Mrs. Leah Fleming of Bakersfield, CA, Mrs. Lillian Thompson of Selma, CA, Mrs. Sally Anderson and Mrs. Ruth Edwards, both of Fresno, CA. Mrs. Stearns came to Tucson with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Artis Curd from Kentucky in 1922. Mrs. Stearns was an active member of the First Baptist Church for many years. She worked for Tucson Unified Schools for 20 years. Graveside Service 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 10, 1994 at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S. Park Avenue, with Pastor John Miller of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

BENAGLIO, Antonio, 91, born March 10, 1903 in Lovere, Italy. He was an Arizona resident for 73 years. Died June 6, 1994. He was preceded in death by his wife, Angela. He is survived by his children, Jacqueline L. Benaglio and Charlie (Phyllis) Benaglio of Mammoth and Enrico (Etta) Benaglio of Tucson; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters also survive. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 9 at 6:00 p.m. Rosary Services at 7:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Mammoth. Mass will be offered Friday, June 10 at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Valley View Cemetery in Mammoth. Arrangements by ABBEY FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3435 N. 1st Ave., (888-1111).

CARROLL, Thomas J., 70, a resident of the Tucson area for the last 10 years, passed awayon June 6, 1994. He is survived by Catherine J. Carroll, M.D., of MI, Barbara Blair Busch, of Washington, DC, James C. Busch, of St. Louis, MO, Deborah Busch Wallace, of CA. Memorial Services will be held Thursday morning at 8:00 o’clock at St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, 5150 North Valley View. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel, Northern Avenue @ Magee Road. Memorial contributions may be made in his name.

CONWELL, Andrew B., Jr., M/Sgt. USAF (Ret.), 71, of Tucson, passed away June 4, 1994. Survived by wife of 47 years, Donna Lou; son, Kim Conwell and his wife Linda; daughters, Terri Dalton, Dana Redavid and her husband Jack and Robyn Perpignani and her husband Jack; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Andrew was in the military for 26 years and served in WWII, Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #36, VFW #549 and the I.O.F. At his request there will be no funeral services. Remembrances may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice. Arrangements by Hudgel’s SWAN FUNERAL HOME, 22nd and Swan.

DORDELL, William Robert, 79, of Tucson, died June 5, 1994. Born in St. Paul, MN, August 23, 1914. Survived by wife, June; son, Jeffrey; daughter, Linda; three grandchildren, Annabelle, Lacey and Carey; sisters, Arlene Ryan, Doris Hayne, of St. Paul, MN and Shirley Miller, of Phoenix; nieces and nephews by the dozen; and cousins by the score. He was a life member of the Phoenix Federation of Musicians, Local 586 and also the Twin Cities Musicians Union Local 1-30-73, AFL. He was a member of the Epes Randolph Lodge #32, Scottish Rite Free Masonry, S.J., USA and the Sabbar Temple. He played in the Shrine Concert band and was pianist in the dance band for 13 years. There will be no services. Donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).
