KADOW, Gertrude E., was called to her eternal peace on May 28, 1994. Born in Chicago on August 3, 1914, the beloved daughter of the late, Reverend Henry and Emma Richter, she was preceded in death by her daughter, and son-in-law, Judith and David Haltom; and her sister, Dorothy Buerger of Chicago. A resident of Tucson for over 20 years, “Gertie’ is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Orville; son, William (Jane) Kadow; daughter, Kathy (Dean) Flanagan; grandchildren, Joel Haltom, Mark Kadow, and Valerie Kadow Wirth, Ryan, Kira, and Matthew Flanagan, all of Tucson; brothers, Al Richter of Georgia, and William Richter of Chicago. Memorial service will be held Sunday, June 5, 1994 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran church, 1959 E. Helen, Tucson, Pastors Riggs, and Baer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to TMC Hospice, 5301 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712

LIGHT, Ruth G., 71, died June 2, 1994. Wife of Charles G. Light; mother of Dr. Dale R. Jackson of FL and Phyllis R. Lawyer of TX; grandmother of Heather I. Martin of CA; daughter of Frances Simonds of MA; sister of Celia Blaker and Eli Feldman, both of MA. Mrs. Light was preceded in death by sister, Dorothy Feldman. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date. Mrs. Light was a WWII Veteran, a member of the Desert Waves #13, Massachusetts Club and Y-Our Church. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

MORRISON, Lucille Sutton, 91, died in Tucson on June 2, 1994. Recent resident of Green Valley and widow of Esslie Morrison who died in 1991. A retired teacher of the deaf, Mrs. Morrison taught for more than 30 years at the Arizona School for the Deaf and for the Blind where she was then known as Lucille Sutton. She is survived by two step-daughters, Betty L. Dodson of LaMoure, ND and Beverley Cuddy of Niceville, FL. There are five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. An informal celebration of the life of Lucille will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 6 at The Fountains at La Cholla, 2001 W. Rudasill Rd. Remembrances may be made to the Arizona School for the Deaf and for the Blind. Arrangements by ARIZONA MORTUARY.

O’BRIEN, Kathleen Louise, a 33 year resident of Tucson, died June 3, 1994 in Tucson. Born February 14, 1994 in Summitville, IN. Survived by her son, Douglas Patrick (Lynn) O’Brien; sister, Geraldine (Jesse) Grindey; brother, Paul (Barbara) Ice; niece, Naomi (Gerald) Pederson. Funeral Service will be held 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 1994 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Avenue. Dr. Henry Wooten officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

O’HARE, Dr. James E., 76, of Tucson, AZ, passed away June 1, 1994. He was a prominent cardiothoracic surgeon, who was part of the team of surgeons that performed the first open-heart surgery in Arizona in 1959, and he served as president of the Arizona Medical Association in 1965-66. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; his children, Thomas O’Hare of Albuquerque, NM; John (Janet) O’Hare of Tucson, AZ, Mary (Steven Mayer) O’Hare of Burbank, CA, Mark O’Hare of Tucson, AZ, William (Maureen) O’Hare of Pleasanton, CA: his grandchildren, Jessica, Erin, Mary, Shannon, and Brendan O’Hare; and his brother, Robert (Fay) O’Hare of Cleveland, OH. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 6, 1994 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church in Tucson. Interment will follow at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Dr. O’Hare’s memory be made to Salpointe High School, 1545 E. Copper St., Tucson, AZ 85719 designated for a scholarship fund for students requiring financial assistance set up in Dr. O’Hare’s name. Arrangements by VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 327-6341.

ORDUNO, Gilbert V., 62, died June 3, 1994. Survived by his wife, Virginia Orduno; children, Danny, Lorena, Elda Orduno, Marsha J. Romero and Martin (Marsella) Romero, all of Tucson; brother of Constantino (Pauline) Orduno, Peter (Dora) Orduno, both of Tucson; grandfather of Demitrius and Krista Romero, both of Tucson. Mr. Orduno was a member of the Marine Corp Reserves. Mass will be offered at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 6 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 5150 N. Valley View Rd., with interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 5 and friends may call from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

BAMBAUER, William F., Sr., 79, died August 20 in Laguna Hills, CA. He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Payne of Laguna Hills, CA; grandsons, Harvey M. Payne III of San Diego, CA, and Kenton W. Payne of Laguna Hills, CA. Mr. Bambauer retired from Sears and Robuck after 40 years of service. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 5817 E. DOWNEY, June Betty (Dunlap), 75, a 42-year resident of Tucson, died Monday, August 22, 1994 following an automobile accident on the previous Friday. Preceded in death by her husband, Lexton A. Downey and children, Diane Jeanine and Darlene Carol Downey. Survived by children, Donna June (George) Gadbois of Lexington, KY; Dennis C. “Butch’ (Glenda) Downey; Lexann Downey-Lewis (Wayne Lewis); Darrell (Sherry) Downey; David Alan (Diedre) Downey, all of Tucson; sister, Bernice Winifred Martiny of Chicago, IL; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. EARL, Ruth M., 88, of Tucson, died Tuesday, August 23, 1994 after a long and valiant battle with Alzheimers Disease. Survived by daughter, Barbara (Howard) Arnberg of Tucson; son, Richard (Jane) Berry of MI; sister, Constance (William) Pool of FL; grandchildren, Christine (James) Priebe of IN and Scott (Angela) Berry of OH, Philip (Kirsten) Wheatley of KS, Claire (Scott) Place of Tucson; and three great-grandchildren. GRABOWSKI, Daniel G., 71, died August 23, 1994. Survived by his wife, Genevieve Grabowski of Tucson; children, Linda Phillips of Tucson; and Nancy Elliott of WA State; brother, Edward Grabow of WA State; and sister, Dorothy Moller of IL; three grandchildren also survive. MORRIS, Thomas M., 78, of Tucson, died August 24, 1994. Survived by wife, Pat of Tucson; daughters, Pamela Morris of CA; Meta Morris of NV; sons, Thomas Morris of CA; Paul Morris of Tucson; grandson, Nicholas Holmer of Reno, NV. Mr. and Mrs. Morris have resided in Tucson since 1959, moving here form Rolla, MO. Mr. Morris was a professor at the University of Arizona, Head of the Metallurgy Department. PERRY, William J. Jr., Lt. Col., Retired, 9428th Air Reserve Assoc, peacefully passed away August 13, 1994. Survived by wife, Eleanor “Ellie’; daughter, Cindy; and many friends and family in Tucson. Formal Burial Services were held in Dothan, Alabama on August 19, 1994 with Jack Gulledge of Chandler, AZ officiating.
