LISKA, Robert Lee, 68, of Tucson, died Sunday, July 31, 1994. Survived by wife of 43 years, Carol M. of Tucson; three daughters, Joyce Mattson, Sandra Liska, Rhonda Liska; three grandsons, Cory, Troy and Travis Mattson; brother, Charles Liska; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Liska was a U.S. Navy WWII Vet. He retired after 40 years as a brick mason and was a longtime Tucson resident. Memorial Services will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. SLOAN, Dora Diamos, a life long resident of Tucson, passed away August 8, 1994. She was born in Tucson on June 19, 1909. She is survived by a son, George Lutz; two grandchildren, all of CA; a brother, George Nicholas Diamos; a sister, Alexandra Diamos Kerson of Tucson. Other survivors include five nieces, two nephews and many grandnieces and grandnephews. STANDIFER, Holly L., 46, went to be with the Lord August 7, 1994. Holly was born July 28, 1948 in Stamford, CT and was a Tucson resident for 28 years. Preceded in death by her father, Leslie W. Griffiths. Wife of Landen “Bo’ Standifer; mother of Michelle O’Hara, Chris, Scott and Jason Standifer; daughter of Harriet and Wallace Myers; sister of Laurel Speer; grandmother of Rory, Ashley, Kyla and Cody; daughter-in-law of Landen and Janelle Standifer of Lake Havasu, AZ; nieces and nephews also survive. STINER, Bill D., Our wonderful husband, father, brother and friend passed away on Sunday, August 7, 1994 at age 68 after suffering an extended illness. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dorothy; children, Denise Mabry and Lori (Louis) Escalante, all of Tucson, Starr Stone of Roseburg, OR, Robert (Debbie) Stiner and Daniel Stiner of Albuquerque, NM, Mark Stiner of Colorado Springs, CO; sisters, Madge Kelley and Darlene (Melvin) Mork of Colorado Springs, CO; and brother Arlon Stiner, as well as 13 grandchildren. A resident of Tucson for 34 years, he retired in 1989 as lead mechanic in the Transportation Department of Flowing Wells School District where he had many valued friends and co-workers. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a lifetime member of the American Legion. Originally born in Quimby, IA on July 23, 1926, he resided in Iowa, Colorado and Arizona during his lifetime. He will be dearly missed by those who knew his quick laugh and smiling face. WATKINS, Robert L. Watkins, 63, former resident of Meadville, PA, died Monday, August 1, 1994. Born June 26, 1931 in Oil City, PA to Harry Watkins and Sylvia Watkins Henry. Robert was a veteran of the Korean War and was awarded the Silver Star and Presidential Unit Citation. He also served with the Pennsylvania National Guard for many years. Robert is survived by his wife, Alma; sons, Robert L. Watkins II of Holland MI, and Ronald M. Watkins of Meadville, PA; six daughters, Debby Watkins of Cochranton, PA, Becky Sheridan of Meadville, PA, Susie Sharpe of Cleveland, OH, Donna Dean of Blooming Valley, PA, Sherrie Gaona and Melissa Tarro of Tucson, AZ; and 15 grandchildren. Additional survivors include two brothers, Harry Watkins Jr., of Meadville, PA, and Charles E. Watkins of Mercer, PA. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, George M. SHEARD, Loraine B., 90, died Sunday, August 7, 1994. SHUMAKER, David George, CWO, USAF, Ret., 73, entered the hereafter August 3, 1994 in Cleveland, Ohio while in route to a high school reunion in Erie, PA. Mr. Shumaker joined the Army Air Corp in 1939, serving as a Meteorologist and later as an intelligence analyst. When the Army and Air Corp became separate services Mr. Shumaker became a member of what later would be the Air Force. He was awarded the Legion of Merit in 1964 for exceptional service to his country, and retired in 1969 after 30 years dedicated to preserving our freedom. Mr. Shumaker was loved by many for his selflessness, kindness and generosity to friends, neighbors and family. He was like an extra grandfather to neighborhood children, helping with projects and lending a willing ear to their stories and problems. He will be sorely missed by his many friends throughout the country and by his family. He is survived by Mary Lou (Holmes) Shumaker, his wife of 52 years; his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Sally Shumaker; his daughter and son-in-law, Shyrl and Barry Springer; his grandchildren, Jana and Jeff Springer. Also surviving are a sister, Clarita Fleck; a sister-in-law, Rosella Hollingsworth, and several nieces and nephews, including Nancy and Tom Pallan and Mollie and Stan Lewin and their children, Ben and Jenny Lewin. HATCH, June L., 70, died August 4, 1994 in a Tucson hospital. Survived by her husband, Harvey R. Hatch of Tucson; and by eight children, Pamela Oglesby, Joni Blount, Randy Hatch, Doug, Sharon, Marsha and David Stallings, and Ryan Morris. There are five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mrs. Hatch was a retired antique dealer with outlets in Tucson and in Washington State before coming to Arizona 13 years ago. There will be no public services.
