GILLUM, Ronald L., 47, of Tucson, passed away Sunday, May 15, 1994. Survived by loving wife, Lucinda; sons, Jack and Robert of Tucson, Roger of AR; daughter, Rebecca of CA; parents, Lloyd and Cora Gillum of OH; one brother and sister also survive; loving mother-in-law, Sally Monasmith. Mr. Gillum was born in Wheelwright, Kentucky, and moved to Ohio when he was a youngster. He enlisted in the U. S. Air Force in 1964 and served two tours of duty in Viet Nam and was awarded the Purple Heart and numerous other service medals. Mr. Gillum was Honorably discharged in July 1972 with the rank of Tech Sgt. In August, 1972 he became a Police Officer with the Tucson Police Dept. During his tenure with TPD he was a training officer for 15 years and a Lead Officer for eight years. He was awarded the Police Department’s Merit of Service and numerous other commendations. Mr. Gillum retired from TPD in May 1993. The Gillum family suggests any memorials be sent to Christ Presbyterian Church “Building Fund’, 6565 E. Broadway, Tucson 85710 in Ron Gillum’s Memory. KETCHUM, E. Gillet, 83, died May 14, 1994. Tucson resident for the past 18 years. Survived by his wife, Marion; stepchildren, Robin Smith of New York City, Robert Blum of Ambler, PA; and by three stepgrandchildren. Mr. Ketchum was a clinical psychologist specializing in children’s learning disorders at the Psychiatric Institute of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. There will be no public services. POLAND, Louis L., 61, of Tucson, passed away May 16, 1994. Survived by wife, Donna of Tucson; sons, Michael, John, and Richard Poland, all of Tennessee; sons, Russell and Don Collins of Tucson; daughters, Rosemarie and Jo Taylor of Tucson; six grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; and many nieces and nephews. STACY, Robert E., 54, died suddenly of natural causes on May 15, 1994. WILCOX, Marguerite C., 85, of Tucson, passed away May 15, 1994. Preceded in death by husband, Walter E. Wilcox. Survived by children, Betty (Victor) Schwanbeck and Gene (Geneva) Wilcox; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; and nephews. Survived by many friends. Mrs. Wilcox retired in 1960 after more than 30 years of service with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tucson. She was an active member of the Daughters of the Nile and Order of the Amaranth. ADDINGTON, Edward Burwell, 81, passed away Sunday, June 19, 1994 at his home in Swan Lake Mobile Home Estates. He was born in Jay County, Indiana on September 30, 1912, where he was a Pennville, Indiana farmer for many years. He moved to Tucson in 1978 after the death of his wife, Yetive (Coffel) Addington. He is survived by his present wife, Mary (Steinebach) Addington of Tucson; two daughters, Julia Havens of Indianapolis, Indiana, Anne Sharp Addington of Tucson; four step-sons, Robert E. Steinebach, Jr. of Tucson, William A. Steinebach of Livingston, Texas, Russell G. Steinebach of Tucson and Ralph E. Steinebach of Portland, Oregon; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Burwell was graduated from Purdue University in 1933 and was a life-long fan of that school. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Purdue Alumni Association. He will be interred at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Penneville, Indiana. A Memorial Service will be held in the Community Center at Swan Lake Mobile Home Estates, 4550 N. Flowing Wells Rd., on Thursday, June 23, 1994 at 2:00 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital in his name. BLOK, Pastor Martin, of Tucson, died June 17, 1994. Survived by wife, Ama of Tucson; daughters, Glenna of Penn Yan, NY, Rosemary Powers of Tucson, Pauline Campbell of Clarkston, MI; son, Martin Blok, Jr. of Allegan, MI; daughters, Linda Brian of Virginia Beach, VA and Susan Caroliessi of Kensington, CT. Pastor Blok was born December 26, 1901 in Holland, MI. He moved to Tucson in the early 70's. He was married to Ama Schlegel on March 10, 1975. He was a member of Emmanuel Church and a Pastor at church’s in Michigan for 62 years. Memorial Services will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church June 24, 1994 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Casimiro G. Bonillas, 78, of Tucson, passed away June 20, 1994. Survived by beloved wife, Josephine; daughters, Mary B. Fierros, Julie (Rene) Aragon, Dolores (Robert) Gomez, Olivia (Armando) Teyechea, Josie (Frank) Lopez, Yolanda (Bruce) Sellers, Connie (Albert) Lopez and Estella (Armando) Salgado; sisters, Carmelita B. Armenta and Connie C. Rivera; brothers, Antonio Bonillas and Pancho Maldonado; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; he is survived by many aunts and cousins that he dearly loved and cared for.
