FRANKS, Mabel May, 83, died June 20, 1994. Survived by her husband, Earl Franks of Tucson; son, Earle Franks, Jr. of Fresno, CA; grandchildren, Earle Franks III of Huntington Beach, CA, Bryan Franks of Huntington Beach and Aaron Franks of Fresno, CA; sisters, Velma Polete of Casa Grande and Doris Kurtz of Phoenix. Mrs. Franks graduated from Arizona State University in 1929, received a M.A. in Education from the University of Arizona in 1957. She taught at C.E. Rose Elementary School in Tucson for 35 years, retiring in 1976 prior to teaching in Bisbee and Continental, Arizona where she taught in a two room school house. Born in Hurley, New Mexico and lived in Bisbee, Tombstone before moving to Tucson in 1937. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., P. O. Box 13423, Tucson 85732-3423. Committal Service 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 27 at TMP, East Lawn. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

HILL, Juanita Ann, 24, of Tucson, died Thursday, June 16, 1994. Survived by children, Shandy Larue Eddings, Carrie Bell Freeman and Marcia Bell Freeman; parents, Dave and Mary Ann Hill; grandparents, Leroy and Beatrice Williams; sister, Angela Dorice Hill; brothers, Dave M. Hill III and Mozell E. Hill; aunt and uncle, Arnold and Barbara Thomas; and a host of other relatives and friends. Juanita will be greatly missed by her family and she will always be loved. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), from 5:00 to 8:00 on Sunday, June 26, 1994. Funeral Services will be held at Friendship Baptist Church, 850 N. 11th Ave., on Monday, June 27, 1994 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Victor Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. KNAPP, Charles E., 81, of Tucson, died Friday, June 24, 1994. Survived by wife, Anna; sons, Fr. Charles Knapp, Patrick (Marguerite) Knapp; daughters, Lydia Kostenbader, Kathleen (Ray) Wood; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister, Helen Karlen, January of this year. He will be greatly missed by friends and neighbors. Charles was a life long member of the Teamsters’ Union and a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. Friends may call at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Sunday, June 26, 1994 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. with a Wake Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 1994 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb Rd. Private Burial at a later date.

LOCKE, Mark W., 74, died June 23, 1994. Father of Roger (Paula) Locke. Arrangements by BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.

MAULER, James Z., 69, a native of Arizona, passed away June 23, 1994 at his home. Survived by his beloved wife, Joanne “Jody’; daughters, Kathleen Mauler of Hawaii, Claudia Buscher of CA; sons, Zachary Mauler of Tucson and Zan Mauler of DE; stepdaughters, Amy Jo Greene (Michael), Becky Taylor (Clay) of Tucson; stepsons, Jeffery Fratt of Phoenix and Jonathan Harris of Tucson; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister-in-law, Jeanne Sweet of Tempe; brother-in-law, Philip Gordon of CA. After Navy duty in WWII during the Pacific Campaign as an under water demolition expert, returned to Arizona and attained numerous degrees. He was very active in community affairs and organizations and retired after devoting 37 years in the Pharmaceutical field. His last volunteer effort was with C.A.S.A. Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, June 28 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Cabrini. In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate donations in his name to C.A.S.A. (Court Appointed Special Advocate), 2225 E. Ajo Way, Tucson 85713 in care of Laurie Melrood.

OLGUIN, Joe M., died June 23, 1994. Husband of Helen Olguin; brother of Felicita O. Franco (Alice), Henry Hernandez, Manny Hernandez, Arturo Hernandez and Tony Mata. Preceded in death by son, Jose Luis; sister, Olga Moreno; brother, Luis Olguin; and parents, Jose Olguin and Maria Mata Hernandez. Visitation from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 1994 with a Service given by Rev. Ross Hanna at 7:00 p.m. at DESERT ROSE CREMATION and BURIAL, 2750 S. 4th Ave., #106.

PESQUEIRA, Francisca Tellez, 79, of Tucson, died June 23, 1994. Survived by husband, Francisco Pesqueira; son, Frank (Alma) Pesqueira; daughters, Consuelo (Roberto) Fierro, Evelyn (John) Massey, Carmen (Manuel) Villa and Margaret Pesqueira; also survived by 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Conscepcion Pesqueira Bauman; two nieces, Ofelia Garcia and Mary Sosa. Visitation Monday, June 27 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave. Funeral Services Tuesday, June 28 at 10:00 a.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

ROSENTHAL, George, 70, of Tucson, died June 23, 1994. Survived by wife, Marion; daughter, Janet Bauman of Claremont, CA; and son, Steven of Tucson; four grandchildren; four brothers; and one sister. BEDOY, Ramona Carpio, 88, of Tucson, passed away June 21, 1994. Preceded in death by her husband, Juan G. Bedoy. Survived by sons, Gildardo C. (Emma) Bedoy, Geraldo C. (Josefina) Bedoy; daughters, Gloria (Salvador) Murrieta, Gudelia (Alejandro) Rabago of California; grandson, Fernando J. Bedoy, Sr.; also survived by 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 1994 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Monday, June 27, 1994 at 9:00 a.m., at Santa Cruz Church. Interment Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

DAVIN, Monaco Rae Patrice, passed away shortly after her birth on June 21, 1994 in the company of her loving family and friends. She is survived by her parents, Jodi and James; her brothers, Zachary and Forrest; grandparents, E. Dianne Howard, Charles S. Howard, Richard Morris, Verna and Dennis Davin; her family also includes many caring aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial Service to be held at Victory Assembly of God, 2561 W. Ruthrauff Rd., on Monday, June 27, 1994 at 5:00 p.m.

EASLEY, Virginia M., 76, of Tucson, died June 23, 1994. Mrs. Easley was born March 16, 1918 in St. Louis, MO. She was a member of O.E.S. and V.F.W. Auxiliary. Survived by husband, Louis Easley; daughters, Nancy Zorich of Tucson, Carol A. Burzen of Miamisburg, OH; brother, Michael Lineback of Tucson; Dorothy Ellebracht of Clearwater, FL, Genevieve Bowman of Colorado Springs, CO; and three grandchildren. Memorial Service Saturday 3:00 p.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY with Rev. Gregory Wyes of Christ the King Episcopal Church officiating. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY, N. Oracle and W. Miracle Mile.

FISH, Murray E., 79, died Tuesday, June 21, 1994. He was a Tucson resident for 20 years. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY. He was a Veteran of WWII and served in N. Africa in the North-Atlantic. Murray was an avid tennis player and a volunteer at the VA Hospital for six years. Survived by sons, James M. Fish and Michael S. Fish; daughters, Judy Galaz and Betsy Fish, all of Tucson; brother, James Fish of CA; and two grandchildren, Timothy and Katie Galaz of Tucson. Friends may call Friday, June 24, 1994 from 5:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. GLENN, Ausencia Violet, passed away June 21, 1994 in Tucson at the age of seven years. Born August 18, 1986 in Tucson. Survived by her parents, Andres and Kathy Glenn; grandparents, Gilbert and JoAnn Pallanes; grandfather, Joaquin Burruel; grandmother, Frances Burruel; uncles, aunts, cousins, Nino and Nina. “Our Dear Angel, you will be loved and missed.’ Visitation will be held Sunday, June 26, 1994 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave. Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

LADDEY, A Memorial Service for Mr. David B. Laddey, 79, will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 27, 1994 at St. Francis of the Valley Episcopal Church. Mr. Liddey was born Juanuary 25, 1915 in Weshauken, NJ to Erich Laddey and Rosalind Barcus Laddey. He passed away Tuesday, June 21, 1994 at his home in Tucson. In 1942 he married Catherine S. DeLamater. David was an inspector for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, working for the last 16 years at the border of Nogales until retirement after which he lived in Green Valley until the death of his wife, and then moved to Tucson. His hobbies included music, gardening and entomology. His survivors include: his three daughters, Vernona Reynolds, of Olympia, WA, Ursula Baker, of Winslow, AZ, Christina McCoy, of Martinez, GA; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University of Arizona Medical School, Cleft Palate Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of GREEN VALLEY MORTUARY.

RANDALL, Everard Howell, 78, passed away June 22, 1994 after a long battle with cancer. A 35 year resident of Tucson. He was retired from Hughes Aircraft and a WWII veteran. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; son, Stephen of Jupiter, FL and nine stepchildren. A private service to be held in Wisconsin.

ROYCE, Eva Allen, 84, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 1994, Tucson. She is survived by cousins and Elizabeth Frantz, a friend of nearly 60 years. Eva was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 22, 1910, the daughter of Eda (Wallin) and William Hobart Royce. Her father was considered the greatest Honore de Balzar scholar ever in the United States. As a teen-ager, Eva studied for several years in France, graduated from Mount Holyoke College and the University of Chicago. She was a master teacher in both French and German. She came to Tucson in 1946 and taught both at Tucson High School and Catalina High School. She was a member of Alliance Francaise, Delta Kappa Gamma, and Pima County Retired Teachers Association. Friends may call at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 24 with Prayer Service at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of resurrection will be said at St. Cyril’s, 4725 E. Pima, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25. Entombment will be at All Faiths Memorial Park in our Lady of the Desert Cemetery, 2151 Avenida Los Reyes. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Casa Maria, 401 E. 26th St., Tucson, AZ, 85713 or Casa de los Ninos, 347 E. Speedway, Tucson, AZ, 85705. RYAN, Joseph K., Sr., 77, died June 21, 1994. Survived by his wife, Patria Ryan of Tucson; children, Sherry Largey of Tucson, Ms. Patria Ryan of FL, Joseph K. Ryan, Jr. of LA and Michael K. Ryan of TX; sister, Irene Dupree of KY; six grandchildren also survive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Federation of the Blind of Arizona, 311 W. McNair St., Chandler, AZ 85224. Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 24 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7651 E. Pima, with interment to follow at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery. SHARP, Ina S., 84, died June 16, 1994. Survived by her brothers, Paul F., Leroy L. and Alson T. Scrivner, all of OH and August W. Scrivner of Kingman; sister, Viola Buck of OH; step-children, Susan Hotchkiss of Phoenix, Shirley Alders of OH and Roy Strach of IN; several step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Sharp was a member of the Eastside Assembly of Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eastside Assembly of God Church.
