Jerry Ellsworth
Jerry Ellsworth, 60, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010.
He was born August 24, 1949 in Blackfoot, ID to Leone and Florence (Henscheid) Ellsworth.
Jerry volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul and for the Northern Arizona Book Festival.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pat Ellsworth, daughters; Clare Aslan (Austin) and Esther Ellsworth-Bowers (Tim), son Matt Ellsworth (Anne), sisters Marie Crouch and Jeanette Kotrason, brothers Ken Ellsworth and David Ellsworth and 5 grandchildren.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, sister Dorothy Hess and brother James Ellsworth.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Lozano’s Flagstaff Mortuary, 2545 N. Fourth Street, memorial mass will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at the Holy Trinity Newman Center, 520 W. Riordan Road, Flagstaff, AZ followed by a lunch reception.

Erin Gresseth Jorgensen
Erin Gresseth Jorgensen, 32, of Flagstaff, died unexpectedly June 22, 2010. She was born March 19, 1978, in Denver.
She attended Coconino High School. She loved animals and especially dogs, music, photography, computers and the outdoors. She had many friends in Flagstaff. Those who knew and loved her will always remember her unforgettable spirit, kind and generous nature, and sense of humor. Her outgoing personality and expansive spirit touched many. A void will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Miss Jorgensen is survived by her father, Eric V. Jorgensen, of Flagstaff; mother Ann J. Gresseth of Roseville, Calif.; brother Ethan V. Jorgensen of Flagstaff; sister Kristen J. (Michael) Rieger of Roseville, Calif.; one nephew; and grandparents Wetona Jorgensen of Flagstaff, Ernest Jorgensen and E.W. and Mary Gresseth of Granite Bay, Calif.
A memorial service will be Thursday, July 1, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Riordan Mansion (courtyard/veranda).
Rose Shorty Redhouse
Rose Shorty Redhouse, 73, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010.
She was born June 12, 1936 to Little and Annie Shorty.
Rose enjoyed rug weaving, herding sheep, homemaking and all of her grandchildren and relatives.
She is survived by her husband Harvey Redhouse, Sr., daughters; Pricilla, Evangeline, Mildred of Cut Bank, MT, sons Roy Lynch of Smith Lake, Harold of Coyote Canyon, Harvey Jr of Farmington, stepdaughters Darlene of Sanders, Tonya of Navajo Mountain, Marlinda of Salt Lake, UT, stepsons Frank B of Sanders, Raymond B of Gallup, Nathaniel N. of Salt Lake, UT, Pedro N. of Window Rock, sisters Rose Nakaii of Sanders, Lillie Paulsell of Sanders, Sadie Shorty of Wide Ruins, Irene Harwood, brother Herbert Shorty of Payson, 60 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Rose is Preceded in death by her parents Little and Annie Shorty and brothers Francis, Paul all of Wide Ruins.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 10:00 MST at Indian Holiness Mission, Chambers, AZ.
Patricia Rolan
Patricia Rolan, age 50, of Flagstaff, died on June 8, 2010 at the Flagstaff Medical Center. She was born in Georgia on June 1, 1960. She worked as a front desk clerk.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Holmes and 5 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 3:00 pm at the Lozano’s Flagstaff Mortuary, 2545 N. Fourth St. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Patricia’s name to the charity of your choice.
C. Russell Turner
C. Russell Turner, a Flagstaff resident since 1960, born in San Diego on June 8th, 1926, died on Wed., June 29th, at the Olivia White Hospice Home. He is survived by his son, Tom; Tom’s supportive partner, Cathy Cox; daughter, Terry Challis and his grandson Brandon, who recently graduated from NAU.
Many long-time residents knew Russ. He was very active in community organizations in the 60’s and 70’s. He served on the Flagstaff City Council from 1968 to 1972, when he made an unsuccessful run for Mayor. He served on the Board of the Boys Club and was instrumental in getting the Boys Club moved from the basement of the Weatherford Hotel to its current location on Isabel. He was a former President of the Evening Lions Club, a member of the Elks, VFW, American Legion and served in the Navy from 1944-46. He was in the insurance business here and in Page and also was former Commodore of the Lake Powell Yacht Club.
Russ was an early proponent of the 4th street overpass and the ice rink. As Chairman of the Parks & Recreation Board, he was instrumental in starting the over 40 slow pitch league in 1966. He also served as Chairman of the Racing Commission for 15 years.
Russell’s wishes were not to have a formal funeral or memorial service, but there will be a celebration of life to be held at Lake Powell, “Turner Cove” in late September or early October.
Russ and his family have long supported the passing of laws to increase end-of-life choices. Paul Dennis Bishop

Born in Evanston, IL
Survived by: Elizabeth, wife; Kate and Erik, children; Jerrod and L. Brent, stepsons; David, brother and Kathy, sister-in-law; Rick Thrailkill, half brother; Gina Purse, sister; Helen Avins, aunt; Bea Maddox, aunt; Jean West, former wife; and many family members.
In Illinois, Paul was active in Boy Scouts, belonged to several barber shop quartets, and worked in a lab where he wished to cure cancer. He moved his family to Arizona where he began work for the City of Chandler as a laborer in the wastewater division. He was a plant operator, wastewater supervisor, and utility coordinator during the 1986 reorganization in the city. Over his 30 years working with the City, he was instrumental in designing the ECHO (Employees of Chandler Helping Others) program where the trucks with the big red “E” were known to be safe for children and adults to get help. All employees were trained to provide aid and also trained in first aid and CPR.
Paul served the City of Chandler under nine mayors. He worked with the reservations for smooth partnership of services. He was instrumental in knowing the history of most all contracts within the public services division.
Early in his marriage to Elizabeth, he entered Chandler’s 75th Anniversary Pie Cookoff and won. This helped start his love to cook/bake for others which he regularly baked for his office and churches he regularly attended.
Paul was to begin studies for the diaconate with the Episcopal Church of Arizona. Paul and Elizabeth retired to Rimrock where they enjoyed their pets, their church in Sedona, St. Andrew’s, and various community activities.

James J. Bower
James J. Bower, 53, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in Glendale, AZ.
He was born March 2, 1957 in Highland Park, MI to Lahman and Marjorie (Eagleton) Bower.
Jim moved to Flagstaff in 2001. He loved his family and spent most of his free time with them hiking, bowling, fishing, woodworking. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Red Wings and the Pistons; his favorite author was John Steinbeck.
He is originally from Michigan, his ashes will be scattered in the great Lakes area. There are many good memories of Jim, he will be greatly missed and in our hearts forever.
Jim is survived by his daughter Sheena Bower, son, Spencer Bower, ex-wife Shirley Bizahaloni, sisters Mary Lou Segesta, Marjorie Longo, Patricia Bower, brother William Bower.
He is preceded in death by his parents Marjorie (Eagleson) Bower and Lahman Bower, brothers Lahman bower, Jr. and John Bower.

Richard N. De Luca
September 3, 1931 - July 24, 2010
Richard (Dick) N. De Luca, 78, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010 here in Flagstaff, suddenly and unexpected.
He was in town visiting friends and family. He was born in Reading Pennsylvania to Nicola and Grace De Luca. He came to Arizona in the 1950's while being stationed in the Air Force located in Yuma Arizona. He resided in Flagstaff Arizona from 1979-2001. Moved back to Yuma in 2001 with his wife of 57 years Eloisa De Luca back to Yuma Arizona.
Dick will be remembered for his big generous heart, always helping others, his love of music, singing Frank Sinatra songs (Granny's Closet), cooking all the Sicilian Dishes and having big get-togethers at his house.. He had a great love for his family and friends. He always had a big smile on his face. He was a happy and of coarse an excitable person. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses he loved assisting others to learn about the bible, he assisted in developing another English and Spanish Congregation here in Flagstaff.
Dick is survived by his loving wife Eloisa; sons; Rick (Linda), Nick ( Mary Ann ) De Luca; daughter, Victoria (Mark) Jones; grandchildren Ricky (Jessica), and Anthony De luca, Amanda (Thomas) Drake, Deanna (Raul) Aguilera, Stephen (Ana) Jones; great-grandchildren, Carly, Alyse De Luca, Giselle, and Mario Jones; brothers, Ronald (Lois), Tony (Irma), Nate (Donna) De Luca; sister, Tilly Hummel.
Richard was preceded in death by his siblings; Josephine "Josie" Baltz, Mary Ann Spangler, and Benjamin "Benny" De Luca.
Memorial services were held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Yuma Arizona on Friday July 30, 2010 at 4:00 p.m
