Zachary Benjaman Thomas
Zachary Benjaman Thomas, age 19, died Monday April 25, 2005, in Flagstaff, Arizona.
He was born December 10, 1985 in Flagstaff, Arizona, son of Richard Carlyle and Sandra Lucille Osmaloski Thomas.
Zack lived his entire life in Flagstaff, Arizona. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, Flagstaff Middle School, Sinagua High School and Coconino Community College where he studied welding.
He was a member of Boy Scouts of America and the Marching Band at Sinagua High School, Eagle Scouts of America and Order of the Arrow.
Zack enjoyed fishing, hiking, snowboarding, 4 wheeling, video games, welding, and Pyro technics.
He is survived by his parents, Richard Carlyle Thomas and Sandra Lucille Thomas of Flagstaff, grandparents, Stella Thomas, Lucille Anne Osmaloski and Kenneth Fautley, sister, Aubrey Christina Thomas.
Zack is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Benjamin Dean Thomas, and Raymond John Osmaloski.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, April 29, 2005 at 11:30 a.m at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Chapel at 16 W. Cherry, Flagstaff, Arizona.
Viewing will be Thursday, April 28, 2005 at 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Rosary at 7:00 p.m. and also Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. also at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to the Boy Scouts of America or the Sinagua High School marching band.
Sidney (Buddy) Dewitt Caylor
Sidney (Buddy) Dewitt Caylor, 75, of Flagstaff, passed away at home, Sunday December 27, 2009.
He was born on January 11, 1934 in Post, TX to Albert and Hallie Caylor.
After High School, Buddy, served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He then moved to Flagstaff and worked for the US Forest Service for 30 years. After retiring from the Forest Service he worked at the Walgreen’s Distribution Center for 12 years, then recently for Fry’s Food Store as a greater.
Buddy enjoyed fishing, especially at Roosevelt Lake and working in his woodshop making crafts.
He is survived by Brenda, his loving wife of 51 years; son David Caylor (Janet), of Knoxville, TN and daughter, Sydney (P.D.) Ulibarri (Russell) of Mohave Valley, AZ and his 5 grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Evan, David and Alyssa.
He was so loved and will be missed by his family.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Lozano’s Flagstaff Mortuary, 2545 N. Fourth Street, Flagstaff, AZ with burial to follow at Citizens Cemetery.
David Walter Hawk
David Walter Hawk, 70, of Flagstaff, AZ died Monday, December 21, 2009 at his home.
He was born March 24, 1939 in St. Louis, MO to Walter Frank and Nona M. (Golike) Hawk.
David served in the United States Air Force, he enjoyed hunting, camping, shooting, horses, poetry, spending time with family and poltics.
He is survived by his loving wife Martha Diane Hawk, his children; Ken and Becky Hawk of Boise, ID; Pam Childs of Marsing, ID; Woodrow and Martha Wilson of Flagstaff, AZ; Dave and Veronica Wilson of Flagstaff, AZ; Mike and Haddi Leffler of Waddell, AZ and Thomas and Mandy Wilson of Flagstaff, AZ, 21 grandchildren, sister Mary Margaret Gordon of Scottsdale AZ
David is preceded in death by his father Walter Hawk, mother Nona Hawk and grandson Anthony Hawk.
Memorial services will be held for Martha and David Hawk on Friday, February 12 at 12:00 pm at Lamb of God Bible Church, 2615 E. 7th Avenue, Flagstaff, AZ 86004
Carolyn Mary Riley
Carolyn Mary Riley, age 85, died Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at Flagstaff Medical Center.
She was born February 1, 1919 in East Aurora, New York, a daughter of Herbert and Muriel Carey Blanding.
Carolyn married John H. Riley on December 7, 1936 in East Aurora.
She lived in Flagstaff for the past twenty-five years.
Carolyn enjoyed reading, crafts, collecting lighthouses, and caring for animals.
She is survived by her sons Robert (Lorraine) Riley of Flagstaff and Dennis Riley of Tucson, one grandchild, one great-grandchild, two brothers Howard Blanding of Florida and Charles Buchheit of Nevada and her sister Evelyn Loomis.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband and her brother William Buchheit..
A Private Family Service will be held in her honor.

Judy Ann Baca
Judy Ann Baca, 51, of Flagstaff died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday October 14, 2009.
Judy was born on June 11, 1958 in Flagstaff to Juan and Rosie Garcia. She worked for Coconino County Courthouse for many years and acquired many friendships. She enjoyed working and going for walks with her co-workers. She loved the time spent with her mom at Cliff Castle Casino and most of all loved every minute spent with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her spouse; Lawrence Baca, daughters; Maria (Sam) Cockerel, Anita (Louis) Lucero, 5 grandchildren; Derrick, Kai, Anthony, Iliana and Joseph. Her mother; Rosie Garcia, sisters; Dorothy Garcia, Barbara Gill, Rosalee Lozano, Jenny Garcia and brother; Johnny Garcia. Along with many nieces, nephews cousins and her 3 beloved companions Dakota, Rockie and Ohsa.
Judy is preceded in death by her father; Juan Garcia and her nephew; Eddie Lozano.
An evening Vigil and Holy Rosary will be held on Monday October 19, 2009 at 7:00 pm with Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 10:00 am, both to be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 S. Kendrick. Private burial for Judy will be held at a later date.
John Gilbert Cruz
John Gilbert Cruz, Sr., 68, of Flagstaff, died on October 3, 2009 in Ganado, AZ. He was born on November 21, 1940 to Francisco Gilberto Cruz and Nora Peña in Williams, AZ. and lived in Flagstaff most of his life.
John was a person that loved to laugh and make people happy. He became a Christian in 1968 and was a member of the Christ's Church of Flagstaff. He served in the U.S. Army as an Intelligence Specialist retiring in 1968.
During his time in the Army he was awarded a Purple Heart. He was an apartment manager for 23 years and he currently worked for U.S. Census Bureau for the last 2 census counts.
Mr. Cruz is survived by his loving wife Cynthia of 13 years, sons, Nathan and Juan G., Jr. Cruz of Page, daughters, Yvonne Cruz (J.J. Jumbo) 2 grandchildren of Kaibeto, AZ, Juanita C. (Orlando) Yazzie 3 grandchildren of Flagstaff, Sara Cruz of Casa Grande, AZ and stepchildren, Amber Pateaude, John M. Holsten, Mark D. Holsten, David R. Holsten, sister, Rosemarie (Rudy) Acevedo, brothers-in-law, Ricky Tabatt, Kenneth Tabatt and many aunts uncles and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Christ's Church Flagstaff 3475 E. Soliere Ave. Burial will follow at the Citizens Cemetery 1300 S. San Francisco St. with Veterans honors rendered by the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Marine Corps League and the Military Order of Purple Hearts.
Richard B. Burns
Richard B. Burns, age 76, died Tuesday, October 19, 2004 in Flagstaff.
He was born August 26, 1928 in New York, NY, a son of Clement Ambrose and Gladys Lynch Burns.
Richard moved to Flagstaff fifteen years ago from Denver, CO.
He graduated from Fordham University in 1949 and then attended law school in Denver.
He was an attorney and fireman in Denver.
Richard is survived by his brothers Willard Burns of Maryland and Donald Burns of Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his brother Robert Burns and his sister Frances Clemente.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Flagstaff Mortuary 2545 N. Fourth Street.
