Theodore Duran
Theodore Duran, age 73, died Saturday, September 4, 2004 in Flagstaff.
He was born April 1, 1931 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, a son of Lorenzo and Raefael Garcia Duran.
Theodore served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
He married Ruth Rose Bedonie on December 29, 1962 in Flagstaff.
He lived in Colorado, Flagstaff, Texas, the Grand Canyon, cow springs, and Kayenta.
Theodore was an auto mechanic. He enjoyed reading, fishing, camping, watching NASCAR, watching football, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Ruth; his two sons Michael (Darlene) Duran of Kayenta and Robert (Christina) Duran of Kayenta; his daughter Nelly Shortman of Flagstaff; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Theodore is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters, and a son-in-law.
Frances Huntress Noyes
Frances Huntress Noyes, 90, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2009, at the Olivia White Hospice Home in Flagstaff.
Mrs. Noyes was born in Eliot, Maine, on May 17, 1919, to Harlon E. and Ethel G. (Critchenson) Huntress. Although she grew up in Maine, she later made California her home for most of her life after marrying Alden Noyes on April 27, 1946. She spent the last two years of her life living in Flagstaff with her son, Marshall and his wife. Mrs. Noyes worked most of her life as an accountant for North American Aviation, later known as Rockwell International. She loved doing counted cross-stitch pictures, reading novels of all kinds and doing crossword puzzles. Mrs. Noyes is survived by her youngest brother, Dale Huntress of Gorham, Maine; son Marshall and his wife Marilyn of Flagstaff; and her two "granddogs" Snowy and Melody (Squirt as she called her).
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alden; and many brothers and sisters.
Per her request, there will be no services, but she will rest in peace next to her husband at Riverside Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.
Margaret Hope Stores
Margaret Hope Stores, age 76, died Monday, February 7, 2005 in Flagstaff.
She was born June 14, 1928 in Wedderburn, Oregon, a daughter of Ernest Everett and Jewel Hattie Sprague Dunbar.
She graduated from Oregon Catholic High School and went on to earn her Practical Nursing Certificate in 1950.
Margaret married Anthony Alphonse Stores on July 3, 1957 in Cave Junction, Oregon. They moved to Crescent City, California and then on to Eureka, California. In 1981 she made her home in Flagstaff, Arizona.
She was a member of Faith Assembly Apostolic Church being born of the spirit in 1963 and born of the water in 1982.
Margaret was an active Senior Companion until 2002. While serving as a Senior Companion, she received the Presidential Points of Light Lifetime Achievement Award.
She loved church pot lucks, reading the Bible and stories, cooking, crocheting, and most of all her family.
Margaret is survived by her son Anthony Stores; her daughters Theresa Paiment, Deanna (Jay) Toenjes, Taliena (Bernard) Beer, and Margaret (Billy) Frady; twenty-two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-laws Margaret Ann Dunbar and Elizabeth Dinger.
She is preceded in death by her husband Anthony, daughter Wendy Plummer, brother Ernest, and sister Helen.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 11, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Flagstaff Mortuary 2545 N. 4th St. in Flagstaff. A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m..
Interment will be at Citizens Cemetery 800 S. Verde.
Lauisa Carmen Pulaski
Lauisa Carmen Pulaski, 87, of Williams, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at Flagstaff Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 17, 1921, in Williams. She owned and operated The Tree House.
She is survived by daughter Virginia Docherty; son Ray R. Rojo; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Romulo and Lauisa Gonzales.
Rosary will be Friday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, in Williams. A service will be Saturday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. at the church.
Gene Ferrel Stephenson
Gene Ferrel Stephenson, age 62, died Thursday, February 17, 2005 at Flagstaff Medical Center.
He was born October 12, 1942 in Norman, Oklahoma, a son of James Thomas and Ethel M. Martin Stephenson.
Gene was a longtime resident of Phoenix where he was a member of the South Phoenix Moose Lodge, the VFW, and the American Legion.
He moved to Williams four years ago where he enjoyed hunting.
Gene loved life and his friends.
He is survived by his former wife Linda Stephenson of Williams; his brothers Clarence Stephenson of Oklahoma, Billy Stephenson of Phoenix and Grady Stephenson of California; his sisters Donnie Nell Gibson of California and Leona Covington of California; and several nieces and nephews.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at Flagstaff Mortuary 2545 N. 4th St. on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. A viewing will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. prior to service.
Fred L. Carter
Fred L. Carter went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2010. After a long journey with cancer he died in his home surrounded with the loving support of his wife and family. Freddie was born February 10, 1939 in Beaumont, Texas. He made Flagstaff his home in 1954. Freddie is preceded in death by his parents Alfred & Margaret Maynard. Freddie was a US Navy Veteran. For the last 21 years, he has been employed for Sodexho at NAU where he worked as a chef. Along with pleasing the palates of college students daily, Freddie also enjoyed cooking at home especially for holiday gatherings. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carmen Carter, his sons Freddie Jr., (Nisa) Carter of Madison, WI., Alfred, Donald, Frederick, (Cindy) Maynard, and his brother Frank Maynard of Flagstaff. Freddie is also survived by his 5 beloved step-children, Mickey Sandoval, Toni Bobadilla, Linda Garcia, Libby Loudon and Ruben Lozano. Freddie was also a loving grandfather. His loving spirit and gentle demeanor will be greatly missed.

Arnold T. and Agnes Parrish Bradley
Arnold T. and Agnes Parrish Bradley died Wednesday, September 15, 2004 in Dennehotso, Arizona.
He was born July 8, 1914 in Lukachukai, Arizona into the Honeycomb people and born for Tachine people. She was born December 18, 1918 in Kayenta, Arizona into the Bitterwater people and born for Reed people.
Arnold and Agnes were married in July 1934 in Kayenta.
He attended school at Isabelle Mission in Chinle and Ft. Wingate Boarding School. Arnold served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a corporal. He retired after working for the Navajo Army Depot, Federal Government, Kayenta Unified School District and the Navajo Nation as a carpenter heavy equipment operator.
She attended school at Tuba City Boarding School and Ft. Wingate Boarding School. Agnes retired from the Federal Government after 32 years of service. She loved sewing, making quilts, and weaving rugs. Collecting was a favorite hobby and she collected a little of everything. Agnes also tended her own herd of sheep, who will miss her greatly.
They are survived by their sons Raymond N. Bradley, Phillip A. Bradley, Anslem E. Bradley of Kayenta; their daughters Margaret Bradley-Sisco, Patrina Holmes-Cly, Vangie Bradley-Wilkinson of Kayenta, Dee Bradley-McKerry and Phefelia Bradley-Johnson of Window Rock and Bernie Holliday of Tuba City; forty-five grandchildren and thirty-eight great-grandchildren.
Arnold and Agnes are preceded in death by their sons Arnold T. Bradley Jr. and Leonard L. Bradley and daughters Shirley A. Bradley and Katherine Bradley-Redhouse.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the family homestead, 1/2 mile north of Kayenta T.P. The grandsons will be the Pallbearers. The family is invites relatives and friends to the service.
Lola Olea
Lola Olea, 84, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010.
She was born in signal, AZ November 9, 1925 to Chona Garcia.
Lola enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Delfina Sandoval, sons, Marvin Montechello, Anthony (Hannah) Esparza, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May1, 2010 at 12:00 pm at Lozano’s Flagstaff Mortuary, 2545 N. Fourth Street, Flagstaff, AZ, followed by a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery.
