Robert Ernest Breton
Robert Ernest Breton, 68, died Friday, May 1, 2009. Mr. Breton was born February 2, 1941 in Holyoke, MA. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a member of the Switzer Canyon congregation in Flagstaff. Mr. Breton is survived by his loving wife Maggie; son Joshua; daughter Sarah; sisters Linda and Claire and cousin Colleen of Florida. A memorial service will be Saturday, May 9th at 7 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 600 N. Switzer Canyon Drive, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. In lieu of Flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Northland Hospice, PO Box 997, Flagstaff, AZ 86002.
Marsha G. Gutierrez
Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, to many, Marsha G. Gutierrez, 55, passed away on Mach 23, 2008. She was born on October 23, 1952, in St Louis, Missouri to Glenn and Marie Gardner, the youngest of six children. Her family moved to Arizona when she was young, where she fell in love with nature and animals. Her favorite past time was to go spotting wildlife. Her love for nature led her to have a career with the Forest Service in Flagstaff, AZ, as a district clerk. The is where she met her husband, Cifredo R. Gutierrez. They were married on December 30, 19982, and together enjoyed each other and nature. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. The most recent was her sister, Judy Gardner, two years ago. She is mourned by her husband, Cifredo, daughters Louise, Barbara, and JoAnn, grand children: Gerard and Kelly, Christine, Cindy and Jason, and great-grandchildren: Phillip, Nicolas, Kamri, Deraq, Kyle, Deacon, and Michael. Services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 1:30 pm at the Lozano’s Flagstaff Mortuary, 2545 N. fourth Street, Flagstaff, AZ with visitation on hour prior to service.
Joy V. Mitchell
Joy V. Mitchell, 41, died Monday, August 17, 2009.
She was born December 21, 1967 in Ganado, AZ to John Wayne and Mary Alice Mitchell, Sr.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 20, 2009 at 10:00 am (DST) at the Grace Fellowship Community Church, Chinle, AZ, Interment to follow at Begay Family Cemetery 1 and half mile east of church.
Michael “Mick” Henry
Michael “Mick” Henry, 55, of Flagstaff passed away March 22, 2008 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Mick was born October 10, 1952 in San Gabriel, CA to Glen and Georgianna Henry. He moved to Flagstaff with his wife, Peggy, in 1996, and was employed as a computer Programmer Analyst at Northern Arizona University.
Mick loved anything “Cowboy” and his collection of those movies was quite extensive. He enjoyed all types of music but particularly liked western music. Mick and Peggy were able to fulfill a life-long dream by touring Ireland in 2006. He also traveled throughout much of Texas visiting sites of western history and cowboy lore.
Mick is survived by his wife Peggy, his sisters Phyliss Alexander of Anaheim Hills, CA, and Karen Dinan of Vancouver, WA, other siblings, nieces, nephews, his horse Pecos and his two beloved cats Arlo and Alice.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made tin his memory to the American Cancer Society of Flagstaff.
No formal services are being held.
Lowrine Jones
Lowrine Jones, age 85, died Thursday, April 14, 2005 in Phoenix, Arizona.
She was born April 27, 1919 in Ashland, Louisiana, daughter of Charlie and Faith Mose Eagans.
Lowrine married George Jones on April 13, 1948 in Gallup, New Mexico.
She was employed at Lumberjack for 20 years and the Black Cat Restaurant for 5 years in Flagstaff, known and recognized in Northern Arizona as an exceptional quilter, a homemaker as well.
She is survived by her husband, George, six children, Myrtle Graves of Phoenix, AZ, LadyGeorge Austin, of Phoenix, AZ, Vickie Johnson of Phoenix, AZ, Dorothy Jones, of Phoenix, AZ, Joseph Jones, of Phoenix, AZ, Jadai Jones of Phoenix, AZ, and Patsy Johnson of Flagstaff, AZ, twenty three grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren, nineteen great-great-grandchildren, one brother, Robert (Fiddle) Eagans, sister, Johnnie Lee Eagans, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at Flagstaff Mortuary, 2545 N. Fourth Street.
A viewing is being held this evening Friday, April 22, 2005 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Flagstaff Mortuary.
Interment will be at Flagstaff Citizens Cemetery.
Joy Carlene (Seiler) Dobbins
Joy Carlene (Seiler) Dobbins, 73, passed away on March 18, 2009 in Flagstaff, Arizona after a brief illness.She was born March 1, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN.
Joy was preceeded in death by her brother, Jan Carl Seiler.
Survivors include her brother Stephen Heidenreich; Daughters, Jilien Joy Robinson, Nina Joy Fischer, and Samia Joy Dobbins; Son, Drew Arthur Dobbins; Eight grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Joy was a member of the first graduating class of Manual High School where she acted in several school plays.
She had planned to attend her 55th annual Class Reunion in April.
She was a popular waitress in the Indianapolis area for many years.
Her bubbly personality and endless jokes brought joy to all who knew her.
In later years, she was a nanny to several of her grandchildren, living in Florida, Idaho, and most recently in Arizona.
She will be very much missed by all the lives she touched.
Lozanos Flagstaff Mortuary in Flagstaff, Arizona handled the arrangements.
Mattie Ree McDade Noble
Mattie Ree McDade Noble, 92, of Flagstaff, died on March 14, 2008. She was born in Leesville, Louisiana on April 5, 1915 to Abraham and Malinda McDade. Mattie moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1956 with her mother. She was united in marriage to Nathaniel Noble on May 20, 1962. Mattie united with the Riverside Church of God in Christ, where she served as the Church secretary, played the piano, was active in Home and Foreign missions, Prayer and Bible Band and was a faithful servant of the Lord. On January 17, 1989, Mattie united with Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Winslow, Arizona, where she continued her faithful service until she was no longer able to make that journey from Flagstaff to Winslow.
Mattie leaves to cherish her memory 2 God-children, Michael McCain & Brenda Combs, her cousin Roosevelt Jordan who saw to her needs, special friends Jeffie and Arnold Locket, Jr., cousins Evelyn O’Quinn, Howard Brown, JoAnn Williams, William Brown, Emma Brown, Jerry Brown, Juanita Newton, Joyce Brown, Richard Brown, Ethel Conerly and a host of relatives and friends. Mattie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nathaniel Noble, her father Abraham and her mother Malinda.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 10:30 am with funeral service to start at 12:00 Noon at the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, 4th & Pope, in Winslow. Interment will follow services at the Citizens Cemetery, 1300 S. San Francisco St. in Flagstaff.
Gwen Rita Bedonie
Gwen Rita Bedonie, passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones on March 22, 2009. She was born in Ft. Defiance, Arizona to Louise and Grant Benally, Jr. on March 18, 1958.
Ms. Bedonie spent the last 10 years of her life in Flagstaff, Arizona. She was a great daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Her kindness and unique laugh will never be forgotten. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by her children, Tonia Draper, Sonia Draper, Rhia Begay, Elijah Begay, Isiah Bedonie and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Chinle LDS Stake Center in Chinle, Arizona March 27, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. DST

Vicente D. Ontiveros
Vicente D. Ontiveros, 76, died, Tuesday, March 25, 2008 in Flagstaff, AZ
He was born December 30, 1931 in Clarkdale, AZ to Savino and Isabel (Dominguez) Ontiveros.
Vicente served in the United States Air Force, was a St. Vincent DePaul volunteer, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the San Francisco de Asis parish.
He is survived by his loving wife Luise, sons Savino and Vicente Ontiveros, sisters, Gregoria Ramirez, Margaret Ontiveros, brothers, Herculano, Alfred, Diego, Ernesto, Savino Ontiveros, one grand son,

Elijah Lenn Begay
Elijah Lenn Begay, 26, died at the Olivia White Hospice Home on May 7, 2009. He was born in Ganado, Arizona to Gwen Bedonie and Luther Begay on May 22, 1982.
Mr. Begay moved to Flagstaff with his mother 10 years ago. He enjoyed listening to music, and watching movies but most of all he loved his pride and joy, his four year old daughter, Kyra.
Elijah will be missed dearly by all his friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter Kyra Begay, his father Luther Begay; and his sisters; Rhia Begay, Tonia Draper; Sonia Draper, his brother Isiah Bedonie; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Mr. Begay is preceded in death by his mother, Gwen Bedonie.
Service will be Wednesday at 10:00 am (DST) at the Grace Fellowship Community Church, Chinle, AZ, Interment to follow at the Beagy Family Cemetery, 1 and a half miles east of church.
