He is survived by his mother Ila Mae Goldenstein, three brothers: Russell Montgomery, Jeffrey Montgomery, and David Montgomery, as well as one sister, Stephane Vonbank. Kenneth Alva Cannaday
1927 - 2011
Kenneth Alva Cannaday, 84, of Cottonwood died August 1, 2011.
He was born April 25, 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Paul Ellis Cannaday and Linne Alice Patrick Cannaday.
He was a graduate of Pleasant Run Elementary and Warren Central High School. Mr. Cannaday served his country in the Navy during World War II.
He was a self taught pen and artist who also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Cannaday is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patricia (Landis) Cannaday; a son Todd E. Cannaday (Maureen) of Sussex, Wisconsin; two daughters, Becky Henry (Frank) of Cottonwood and Beth Bratt (Kenneth) of Derry, New Hampshire; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held.

William Clarence Neils
1929 - 2011
William Clarence “Bill” Neils, 81, of Clarkdale, Arizona, and Anacortes, Wash., passed away on July 13, 2011 of natural causes. Bill was born on Sept. 16, 1929, in Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada.
During his youth, Bill excelled as a hockey player with some time spent in the professional leagues. His hockey career was interrupted by the call of duty. Bill served in the US Navy during WWII and in the US Army during the Korean War. He relocated to Great Falls, Mont., and began to start his family and professional career. Bill became a business partner in two heavy equipment dealerships: Monty Machinery and Tri State Equipment. During his residence in Montana, Bill became an active member of the Masons.
Bill relocated to Phoenix, Arizona and founded Neils Detroit Diesel Allison. During his several decades in this business, he had the honor of serving as the president of Amigos; an Arizona Mining Industry Support Organization.
After retirement, Bill established Dual Residences in Clarkdale, and in Anacortes, Wash.. Bill loved boating and exploring the waterways of the San Juan Islands, Alaska and British Columbia.
Bill is survived by his wife Peggy and his three sons; Randall Smith (Cathy), Michael Neils (Eliza) and Brett Neils (Darcy); all living in the Phoenix area. In addition, Bill has 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave, Cottonwood, Arizona.

Helen "Traci' Levin
1933-2011
Helen "Traci" Levin died July 17, 2011. She was born January 13, 1933 in Bozeman, Montana, daughter to Frances and Bowman Chase, the youngest of four daughters.
Assistant manager at the Arizona Natural History Program, Red Rock Ranger District, she was liked by many for her sense of humor and strong work ethics. She enjoyed meeting people and traveling. She is survived by daughters Susan (Russel) Fregien, Jackie (Keith) Garnick, Carrie Larson and son Wilford (Yvonne) Levin. She had eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Genevieve Ginger
1918 - 2011
Genevieve W. Selander Ginger, 93, of Cottonwood died July 31, 2011. She was born May 16, 1918 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of John C, and Veronica (Plewa) Beck.
She served her country in the Women’s Army Corps during World War II. She received a Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal and the American Theatre Ribbon. She was a graduate of the Army Clerk Typist School.
She served as director of the Red Cross Volunteers at the 97th General Hospital in Frankfurt, Germany.
Mrs. Selander Ginger was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Her hobbies included gardening-especially rose cultivation and painting.
She was preceded in death by husbands George W. Selander and Herbert Ginger and a grandson Christopher Selander.
She leaves a son James W. “Jim” Selander (Sheila) of Glendale, Arizona; two brothers, John Beck Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and Richard Beck of Neenah, Wisconsin; grandson David Selander (Marcy) of Alexandria, Virginia.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 7th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:30 AM.

Delmar Vincent Green
1931 - 2011
Delmar Vincent Green passed on to Heaven July 12, 2011 in Cottonwood, AZ.
He was born in Rapid City, SD on November 22, 1931 to Chauncey and Erma (Conklin) Green. Del was married to the love of his life, Garnet Jean Grotrud, on November 23, 1950, in Sturgis, SD. Del moved his family to Superior, AZ in 1968 where he taught High School.
In 1991 Del and Garnet moved to Camp Verde, AZ where he worked for the Prescott National forest. He is survived by his wife, Garnet and four children: David (Shari) Green, Gail (Hal) Richardson, Joann Green, Owen Green; 8 grand-children, and six great-grand-children with one due on Del’s coming birthday.
Graveside service will be at the Whitewood, SD Cemetery on Thursday, July 21, at 10 a.m.
A memorial service will be held at the Verde Ranger Station Prescott National Forest, 300 E Hwy 260, Camp Verde, AZ on Saturday, July 30, at 1 p.m..

Steven (Bo) Bowman
1956 - 2011
Steven (Bo) Dale Bowman of Cottonwood, 54, went to be with our Lord on July 22, 2011.
Steve has been residing in Cottonwood this last year.
Memorial services will be held Friday, July 29 at Verde Baptist Church - 102 S. Willard St. Cottonwood, AZ.
Steve was born July 26, 1956, in Sidney, NE. to Mary (Kaus) Makey and Dale (Red) Bowman. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for many years.
The last five years he drove trucks and got to see a lot of beautiful countryside. Steve married Deb Cashatt in 1982 and later divorced. They had three daughters.
He was survived by his mom Mary Makey (Bob) of Camp Verde, AZ; three daughters, Krissa Matt (Tyler) of Greeley CO., Jenna Bowman of Webster TX, and Laura Cunningham (Adam) of Beaufort S.C.; two grandchildren Hailey Rae Matt, and Parker Lynn McAninch; and numerous nieces and nephews; two sisters, Karen Schlotfeld (Rodney) of Cottonwood, AZ and Aggie Collopy (Brad) of Gering NE.
He was preceded in death by his dad Dale V. Bowman.
