Gail Linder

Gail P. Linder, 75, died Sunday, May 17, 1998, in Prescott.

He was born May 4, 1923, in Plum City, Wis., to Peter and Verna (Fosburg) Linder. He married Lila Smith on July 2, 1946, in Eau Galle, Wis. They moved to Prescott Valley from San Diego, Calif., in 1984.

Mr. Linder worked at K-Mart in Prescott as a sales clerk for 10 years before retiring in 1988. He was a volunteer at the Prescott Valley Food Bank for eight years.

Survivors include his wife, Lila, of Prescott Valley; sons, Rodney of Pomona, Calif., and Ricky of Flagstaff; sister, Marjorie Eckhoff of Redwing, Minn.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3950 N. Valorie Drive in Prescott Valley, with Pastor Dennis Morner officiating.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 2724 E. Lakin Drive, #9, Flagstaff, AZ 86004.

Roy Conley Jr.

Roy Conley Jr., 57, died Saturday, May 16, 1998, at his home in Paulden.

He was born Oct. 20, 1940, in Waurika, Okla., to Roy and Bonnie S. (Rolling) Conley.

Mr. Conley served his country in the U.S. Air Force just after the Korean Conflict. He worked as an undercover police officer for the Amarillo (Texas) Police Department for six years, and later as a security guard until a back injury forced him to retire.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge in San Diego, Calif. He moved to Paulden from San Diego in June 1994. He received great pleasure from researching his native American "Choctaw" heritage, as well as collecting arrowheads, coins and stamps.

Mr. Conley enjoyed flying. He loved his family ­ both his children and his grandchildren ­ and his wife, Shirley.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of Paulden; daughter, Sandra Ortmeier of Descanso, Calif.; sons, Darrell of Oviedo, Fla., and Lance of Dover, Del.; father, Roy of Amarillo, Texas; brother, Gary Heinrichs of Los Alamitos, Calif., and 10 grandchildren.

A service of remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Chapel, with Chaplain Gerald Belstine officiating. Private cremation was held at Mountain View Crematory.

The Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home helped the family with arrangements.

Beatrice Bundy

Beatrice Bundy, 91, died Monday, May 18, 1998, in Prescott.

She was born April 24, 1907, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Lyman and Bertha (Morton) Baker.

Mrs. Bundy moved to Dewey from Fredonia, N.Y., in 1993. She was a member of the Fredonia Baptist Church. She married Elton Bundy in 1931 in New York. He preceded her in death in 1984.

Survivors include her daughters, Alice Bull of Dewey and Joan Thomas of California; son, Robert of Virginia, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Larson-Timko Funeral Home in Fredonia, N.Y. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Fredonia.

Sunrise Funeral Home helped the family with local arrangements.

Roberta Dillon

Roberta M. Dillon, 76, of Chino Valley, died Saturday, May 16, 1998, in Prescott.

She was born Nov. 8, 1921, in Toppenish, Wash., to Delos and Lilly (Thompson) Stewart.

Mrs. Dillon was a housewife. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and true friend to all.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; daughters, Lee Head and Jeanne Hick, both of Phoenix and Susan Baker of Colorado; and several grandchildren.

Graveside services were held today at Chino Valley Cemetery.

Leonard Larson

Leonard Larson, 93, of Chino Valley, died Sunday, May 17, 1998, in Prescott.

He was born June 28, 1904, to Andrew I. Larson and Emma C. Erickson.

Mr. Larson was a retired Texaco sales representative.

Survivors include his wife, Frances; daughter, Coralee Mercado; sons, David and Iver; and numerous grandchildren.

No services are planned.

Clena Brewster

Clena Anzil Brewster, 80, of Bagdad, died Thursday, May 14, 1998, in Prescott.

He was born Oct. 4, 1917, in Carter, Mo., to Ezra Bryant Brewster and Clara Mae (Pogue) Brewster.

Mr. Brewster had been a resident of Arizona for more than 60 years. He was a member of the Christian Life Assembly Church in Bagdad. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, in 1997.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews and several grandchildren.

Private services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Christian Life Assembly in Bagdad.

Leslie Mohr

Leslie J. Mohr, 59, died Saturday, May 16, 1998, in Prescott.

He was born Oct. 2, 1938, in Eureka, S.D., to Gearhardt and Hattie (Steiger) Mohr.

Mr. Mohr is survived by his brothers, Jerald of Billings, Mont., Douglas of Great Falls, Mont. and Harvey of Minneapolis, Minn.

Private services will be held.

Charlene Westmoreland

Charlene Westmoreland, 16, died Thursday, May 14, 1998, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix.

She was born March 2, 1982, in Prescott, to Logan and Jeannette (Bukowski) Westmoreland.

Miss Westmoreland worked at El Chaparral Restaurant and attended Excel Education Center. She was a sophomore.

She had been in the "Mini Miss" and Jr. Miss pageants. She was in the Mile High Entertainers and the Humboldt Cloggers. She also participated in gymkhana.

Miss Westmoreland lived in Bay Field, Colo., for 14 months, and was on the Bay Field High School volleyball and track teams.

Survivors include her parents, Logan and Jeannette of Prescott; sister, Lyda of Prescott; grandparents, Bruno and Marie Bukowski of Dewey; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Calvary Chapel, 2313 E. Highway 69.

Friends have established the Charlene Westmoreland benefit account at County Bank, and anyone who wishes to contribute may do so at any of that bank's branches.
