Orville Bowman
Orville Lee Bowman, 79, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 9, 1919, in Hammon, Okla., to Frank C. and Lahoma (Montgomery) Bowman.
Mr. Bowman served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked for the Arizona Department of Transportation as a state enforcement officer. He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Prescott.
Survivors include his wife, Vida of Prescott; daughter, Diane; brothers, Harry, Frank Jr. and Wade; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesday at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., in Sun City.
Funeral services will follow at 9 a.m. at Sunland Lakeside Chapel.
Burial will be in Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale.

Catherine Remp
Catherine Z. Remp, 90, a resident of Prescott for eight years, died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, in Prescott.
She was born April 16, 1907, in Pittsburg, Pa., to John and Eva Zavinsky.
Mrs. Remp was affiliated with the Chino Valley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons, Rev. Robert Remp of Prescott, and William of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Margaret Woolley of Indian Wells, Calif.; brother, Michael Zavinsky of Sterling Heights, Mich.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the Chino Valley United Methodist Church, with Pastor Gary Ward officiating.
Private interment will be at Mt. View Cemetery in Prescott.

Ila Haren
Ila Nadean Haren, 74, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, at her home in Prescott.
She was born Dec. 23, 1923, in Emporia, Kan., to Glen and Elizabeth (Suddock) Stout.
She worked as a school librarian. She moved to Phoenix from Tehachapi, Calif. in 1975, and to Prescott in 1976.
She was a member of Beta Signa Phi, and attended Prescott Community Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Isbell of Prescott; sons, Robert Loomis of Twin Falls, Idaho, and William Loomis of Livermore, Calif.; sisters, Beryl Wilhite and Betty Tipton, both of Emporia, Kan., Eloise Tolbird of West Monroe, La., and Norma Sloan of Pairidge, Ark.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Prescott Community Church, 3151 Willow Creek Road, with a visitation one hour prior to service time.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Haren's name to the YRMC Hospice Restricted Account, 1003 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, Ariz. 86301.

Velma Potter Stuver
Velma Betty Potter Stuver, 90, died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, at her daughter's home in Prescott.
She was born Oct. 25, 1907, in Moshannon, Pa., to Milford and Cora (Brooks) Martin.
She was a member of the American Evangelical Lutheran Church. She volunteered her time generously at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the Adult Center. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and Rebekah's Lodge.
She moved to Prescott from Pennsylvania in 1957.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Potter and W. Amos Stuver.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Smith of Prescott and Carol Narehood of Karthaus, Pa.; sons, Martin Potter of Prescott and Wayne Potter of Karthaus, Pa.; sisters, Lois Rougeaux, Delphine Lewis and Jean DeAngelo, all of Pennsylvania; brother, Melvin Martin of Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., with visitation one hour prior to services.
Final services and interment will be in Keewaydin, Pa.

Marvin Harlan
Marvin Harlan, 75, died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997, in Phoenix.
He was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Prescott, to Gail and Myrtle Harlan.
He moved to Santa Barbara, Calif., in 1956, and from Santa Barbara to Phoenix in 1986.
Mr. Harlan was a retired pipefitter, and he was a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Lyon of Lompoc, Calif.; son, Thomas of Virginia; and stepdaughter, Janice Lewis of Phoenix.
Services were held Dec. 11, 1997, at National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.

LaVerne Nunemaker
LaVerne (Noni) Nunemaker, 76, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1998, at Samaritan Village in Prescott.
She was born July 30, 1921, in Blue Island, Ill. She lived in Midlothian, Ill., until her early teens, when her father's love of Minnesota and the effects of the Depression caused a move to the Bemidji/Waskish, Minn., area. married in her early 20s, she returned to Midlothian, where she lived until 1964.
Wherever she lived, music was a part of her life. An accomplished self-taught piano player, she enjoyed playing and singing McGuire sister-style with her sisters, Myrt and Eunice, with the family band, led by her dad, Charles Fikerle, and her mother, Alma. Many were entertained as they played often over the years.
Mrs. Nunemaker moved to Mason City, Iowa, in 1964 and to Apple Valley, Calif., in 1972. She remained in that area until moving to Prescott in 1995. Because of her out-going personality and wit, she made good friends wherever she lived.
She was preceded in death by her husband in early 1997.
Survivors include her daughters, Roxanne Michaels of Chatsworth, Calif., Charlene Witvoet of Midlothian, Ill., and Debbie Pitney of Chino Valley; son, Woody Okerlund of Prescott; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Samaritan Village, 1030 Scott Drive.
