Robert Meinke
Robert H. Meinke, 67, died Monday, Jan. 12, 1998, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 6, 1931, in Mendota, Ill., to Robert and Luceel (Hill) Meinke.
Mr. Meinke was a Federal Aviation Administration designated flight school examiner. He was the family owner of Custom Pilot Service.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Marine Corps., and was a member of the Chosen Few of the Korean War.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church. He moved to Prescott from Santa Ynes, Calif., 17 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; sons, Charles of Prescott Valley and Robert of Corvallis, Ore.; sister, Marilyn Gast of Earlsville, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Lutheran Church, 231 Smoketree Lane, with Pastor Thomas Rothe officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church.
Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery.
In lieu of material remembrances, the family suggests that friends remember the First Lutheran Church Building Fund, 231 Smoketree Lane, Prescott, AZ 86301.

Flora Hall
Flora Elvera Hall, 94, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 26, 1903, in Stratford, Iowa, to Peter and Betsy (Johnson) Leksell.
She worked as a hospital nurse. She moved to Scottsdale from Dunedin, Fla., 25 years ago, and to Prescott in 1986. She was a member of the American Legion.
Mrs. Hall was a resident at the Las Fuentes Care Center.
Survivors include a niece, five great-nieces and nephews, and several great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest, in 1960.
Burial services will be at a later date at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City, Iowa.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Hall's memory to the Stratford Lutheran Church, Stratford, Iowa 50249.

Bertha Montgomery
Bertha F. Montgomery, 93, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, at Las Fuentes Care Center.
She was born Nov. 5, 1904, in West Berlin, Vt., to George and Eva (Kennison) Parsons. She moved to Arizona from New Hampshire 57 years ago.
Survivors include her son, Richard Martin of Ridgecrest, Calif.; daughters, Hazel Lamere of Claremont, N.H., Bertha Chicone of Burlington, Vt., and Kayetta Mobley of Texas; sisters, Marle Sears of Northfield Falls, Vt., and Winnie Church of Prescott; 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services and interment will be in New Hampshire.

Anthony DePetris
Anthony "Tony" Joseph DePetris, 89, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, at his home in Prescott.
He was born July 27, 1908, in Poland Junction, to Giacomo "Jim" and Lucia DePetris. He was a resident of the Prescott area all his life.
Mr. DePetris was employed at the Iron King Mine in Humboldt for more than 25 years. When the mine closed he worked at the Antlers and COD mines in Kingman, from which he retired. Up until two years ago, he kept himself busy doing yard maintenance for many Prescott area residents.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gathering wood for his fireplace.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Elnora; sister, Babe Smith of Phoenix; son, Sammy of Phoenix; daughters, Wanda Stump of Cottonwood and Jeanette Thimsen of Phoenix; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Memory Chapel Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. in Mt. View Cemetery.

Cecil Smith
Cecil E. Smith, 57, died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 21, 1940, in Silver City, N.M., to Arthur R. and Lettie (Wilkerson) Smith. He moved to Prescott from Las Vegas, Nev., in September 1997.
Mr. Smith was mining superintendent in charge of the carpenters who installed timbers for electrical wiring and communication for the miners.
He was a graduate of Tri State College in Angola, Ind. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
There are no survivors.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center Chapel, with Chief Chaplain Gerald Beilstein officiating.
Concluding services will be at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
Contributions may be made to The Veterans Administration Medical Center Hospice Fund, 500 Highway 89 North, Prescott, AZ 86313.

Mabel Whittaker
Mabel Whittaker, 73, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, in Prescott.
She was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Haynes, Ark., to Elbert Lee and Daisy (Dill) Baker. She moved from Brinkley, Ark., to Arizona in 1942, and to Prescott in 1997.
Mrs. Whittaker was employed by Honeywell for 23 years as a computer assembler.
Survivors include her son, David of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, Debra Pensinger of Prescott; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Scott, in 1994.
Private cremation will be at Mountain View Crematory in Prescott.

Joel Spencer
Joel Gilbert Spencer, 55, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, in Prescott.
He was born Nov. 27, 1942, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Joseph Gilbert and Virginia Mildred (Bowers) Spencer. He moved to Prescott from Gainesville, Fla., in 1971.
Mr. Spencer was employed by Yavapai Fleet Industrial Warehouse as an auto salesman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his son, Daniel of Congress; and sister, Gail Reidhead of Prescott.
A private cremation will be at Mountain View Crematory in Prescott.
