Kathi Behunin
Kathi Lee Behunin, 16, died Friday, Nov. 28, 1997, as a result of a rollover automobile accident near Lynx Lake.
She was born Feb. 18, 1981, in Prescott.
She attended Miller Valley Elementary School, Granite Mountain Middle School, and was a student at Prescott High School at the time of her death.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Copper Basin Ward.
Miss Behunin was a loving, creative teenager who could always make you smile. Whether with her writing, dancing or singing, her goal was to make others happy. She was proudest of her artistic abilities. She was gifted with the ability to love and accept everyone unconditionally.
Survivors include her mother, Lisa Hansen of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Lee Ann Henderson of Sacramento, Calif., and Lisa Case of Evanston, Wyo.; and her grandmother, Joan Behunin of Prescott.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Carriage House, on the grounds of the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., with a celebration of her life following at 11 a.m. Bishop Ward Kartchner will officiate.
Concluding services will be at Mountain View Cemetery, 1051 Willow Creek Road.

Oren Cook
Oren P. "Perk" Cook, 68, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 14, 1928, in Centralia, Wash., to Roy and Opal Cook. The family moved to Sweet Home, Ore., from Bend, Ore., in 1942.
He attended high school in Sweet Home and married Nola M. Kelley there on Sept. 3, 1950, before joining the Air Force on Dec. 3, 1951. He served on Johnson Island during the early atomic tests in the 1950s, and later in Korea and Vietnam, before retiring on Dec. 31, 1971, as a tech sergeant.
Mr. Cook enjoyed helping people, the outdoors, gold prospecting and RV living. He was especially proud of being a volunteer "rainbow builder" with the Escapee's (SKP's) RV Club at North Ranch in Arizona, and Dream Catcher in New Mexico. He enjoyed his winters in Arizona.
Survivors include his wife, Nola; sisters, Nina Graves of Salem, Ore., Louise Thornton of Madras, Ore., and Alice Chambers of Colorado Springs, Colo. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Orval.

LaDonna Baldwin
LaDonna Kay Baldwin, 45, of Prescott Valley, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997.
She was born Aug. 30, 1952, in Wray, Colo., to George and Reta (Clark) Chartier. She moved to Arizona 12 years ago, and was a nursing assistant in a local nursing home.
Survivors include her son, Jeremiah Chartier; daughter, Serenity Chartier; parents, George and Reta; and brother, Monty.
A memorial service for her friends is being held at 2 p.m. today at her home.

Raymond Goffena
Raymond Anthony Goffena, 86, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He was born April 4, 1911, in Delphia, Mont., to Joseph Lewis Goffena and Clara N. (Martino) Goffena.
Mr. Goffena moved to Arizona 50 years ago from Indiana, and worked as a carpenter. He attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Yarnell.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his sisters, Yvonne Lucas, Vivian Goffena and Rita Paulic, all of Yarnell, Arlene Furniss of Avilla, Ind., and Mary Miller of Pennville, Ind.; and brothers, Arnold of Peeples Valley and George of Yarnell.
A Funeral Mass was at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Yarnell. Burial was at Genung Memorial Park Cemetery in Peeples Valley.
Fr. Joseph T. Sullivan officiated.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Yarnell.

Nora Stevens
Nora A. Stevens, 72, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, at her home in Prescott.
She was born March 16, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., to Michael and Alice (Baschera) Neri.
She moved to Prescott in 1988 from Mt. Prospect, Ill., and was active in Sharlot Hall Quilting with Thumb Butte Quilters and Yavapai County Fair.
Survivors include her husband, Edmund of Prescott; daughters, Donna and JoAnne; sons, Mark, Donald, Ronnie and Phil; brothers, Roberto and Louie; and sister, Adaline.
A visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hampton Funeral Home, with Fr. Richard Farrell, C.M.F., officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Family Care, 100 E. Sheldon St., Prescott, AZ 86301.

Elizabeth Lucier
Elizabeth V. Lucier, 78, a long-time resident of Prescott Country Club, died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, in Murrieta, Calif.
She was born Feb. 17, 1919, in Massachusetts, to Burton W. and Katherine (McGuire) Harris.
She had lived in Southern California for the past few years. Prior to 1994, she had been a 22-year resident of the Country Club, with her husband, the late Al Lucier.
Mrs. Lucier served as a registered nurse in World War II, in the North Africa war zone, where she met her husband in 1943.
She was a housewife much of her life, and raised five children. She was a long-time member of, and helped found, the Women's Golf Club at Prescott Country Club, after taking up the game in her 60s. She was also an avid bridge player.
Survivors include her sons, Peter, Al and Christopher; daughters, Michele and Denise; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was a great Mom, and she will be missed.
A Memorial Mass will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Germaine Catholic Church in Prescott Valley.
Concluding services will be private at Redwood Memorial Gardens in Dewey.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be mailed to the Columban Fathers, a Catholic missionary society, at St. Columban, Neb. 68056.

Mary Ball
Mary B. Ball, 94, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 12, 1903, in Auburn, Wash., to Isaac O. and Blanche D. (Young) Kuhns. She moved to Prescott from Ontario, Calif., in 1994.
She was a long-time member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Ontario, Calif. She enjoyed travel and needlework.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Schwartz of Prescott; sons, Emmett Jr. of Redding, Calif., and Robert of Montross, Va.; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett, and seven brothers.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Ontario, Calif., with the Rev. David Mote officiating.
Concluding services will be at Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario, Calif.
