Arline M. Anderson
Arline M. Anderson, 75, of Sun City West, AZ passed away on August 21, 2012. Arline was born in Fisher, MN and went to nursing school in Grand Forks, ND.
She worked for years in the camera shop that she and her husband Wayne owned in Crookston, MN. Arline enjoyed socializing with and entertaining friends.
She will be greatly missed by her son Mark, cherished daughter-in-law Ana, grandsons Grant and Blake, brother Gary, sister-in-law Marge and their 2 children Jennifer and Kelly. May God reunite her with her dear husband Wayne.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Church of the Advent, 13150 Spanish Garden Dr., Sun City West, AZ.
Nancy Lee Anderson
Nancy Lee Anderson, 74, of Sun City, AZ passed away on September 6, 2012 in Phoenix, AZ from complications from pancreatic cancer surgery. Nancy Lee Palmer was born on July 29, 1938 to Marvin and Doris (Gray) Palmer in Redwood Falls, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at the First Presbyterian Church of Redwood Falls. She graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1956 and worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell, where she met her future husband.
She married Robert "Andy Anderson on December 15. 1957. Nancy and Andy raised two sons Brad and Craig, living in Redwood Falls, Olivia, Rochester, St. Peter, Owatoanna, and Omaha. After retirement, they traveled for four years as full-time RV'ers until settling in Sun City Arizona where they have lived for 20 years.
Nancy enjoyed growing up on the farm, riding horses, participating in 4H and learning the art of homemaking. Later, Nancy would take up golf and enjoyed playing in leagues and making friends on the golf course. She also enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and sewing. Nancy and Andy enjoyed many cruises and traveling in their retirement years. Nancy loved socializing with her coffee groups, bowling teams, and family.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 54 years Andy, Sons Brad (Maureen) of Menifee, CA, Craig (Melissa) of Owatonna, WN, and grandchildren Megan, Blake, Lindsay, and Dylan; sisters Kay (Doug) Jensen, Jeane Dennistoun, Patty Rohne, and brothers Rob (Jeane) and Jim Palmer all of Redwood Falls, MN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Doris Palmer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Myna Swanson Berardinelli
Myna Swanson Berardinelli passed away on October 5, 2010 in Sun City, Arizona at the age of 84. She was born December 11, 1925 in Rutland, Illinois to Delbert and Ruth Arndt Baker. She married Harvey Swanson of Wenona, Illinois on December 12, 1946. He died September 22, 1957. On May 30, 1990 she married Mario Berardinelli. He predeceased her on September 22, 2001.
Two brothers survive, Kenneth Baker of Louisiana and Melvin Baker of Wenona. Three sisters, Hetta Grasser of Amboy, Illinois and Wilma Schroeder and Esther Morris of Peru, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and five brothers, Calvin, Edwin, Delbert, Jr., Richard and Franklin Baker.
Myna was a lifelong history buff and had a special interest in the history of the State of Illinois and Abraham Lincoln. She maintained her membership to the Marshall County, Illinois Historical Society. While residing in Sun City, Arizona, she was an active volunteer with the Sun City Lions Club, the Fairway Center Knitters Club and the First United Methodist Church. She was a terrific cook and crafter and shared those talents with many. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Illinois.
Jeanette Dea Bowen
Jeanette Dea Bowen, 75, of Sun City West, passed away at home on October 29, 2010.
Jeanette was friendly, outgoing, and always greeted everyone with a warm smile. She loved animals, working with children and volunteering in the community. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years, Roger; son, David; daughter, Stephanie and son-in-law David and grandson, Tristan.
Come celebrate her life at the memorial service on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 13724 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West, AZ 85375.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Jeanette's name to either The or Hospice of the Valley, 9435 W. Peoria Ave., Peoria, AZ 85345.
Gladys Goodale
Gladys Goodale, 97, beloved aunt of Alice V. Barton, passed away on September 12, 2012 in the Health Care Center at Royal Oaks Lifecare Community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Goodale, who died April 25, 2007 in Sun City, AZ.

Janet (Shaw) Greenwood
Janet (Shaw) Greenwood, former Mosinee resident Janet Greenwood passed away August 31, 2012 in Surprise, Arizona with her loving family by her side. Known by all as the "Queen Bee", Jan will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and friend to all. She faced her four year battle with cancer with the courage, dignity, grace, optimism and humor that epitomized her 78 years of living.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Don the "Pot Scrubber", two sons Don (Anne) Greenwood and Perry (Kimme) Greenwood, three daughters Pam (Bill Gallauer) Greenwood, Peggy (Gary) Anderson, and Sally (Dave) McDonald, 10 grandchildren (Sarah, Matt, Nathan, Joshua, Alyson, Alexandra, Emma, Heather, Becky and Leah), 5 great-grandchildren (Madelin, Callie, Gavin, Lauren and Kayden), brother Peter (Roberta) and numerous nieces, nephews and granddogs.
Born in Janesville and a graduate of Park Falls High School, the world was made much better by her presence. Although she will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her, her passing will reunite her with her parents Nana and Bonte, sisters Sally (Bob) Jeffs and Marion (Ken) Kirby and brothers Forest (Elaine) and Donald.
Celebrations of her life for family and friends will take place in both Wisconsin and Arizona. Details will follow. The family requests donations be made to the, West Clinical Office (www.hov.org) in lieu of flowers.
Norma A. Hill
Norma A. Hill died 9/5/12 following a brief illness. She was born in Fairfield, Illinois, 9/15/34, and reared in Detroit, Michigan.
Following high school, she spent 3 years in the U.S. Air Force. She received her BSc., and Master's degree in Ed. From San Francisco State College. She was a teacher at Carlmont High School, Redwood City CA, prior to moving to Napa, CA., where she taught at Napa High School until the 1972 opening of Vintage High School where she was a teacher until her retirement in 1993.
In 1969 she competed in the Women's Trans National Golf Championship in Plano, Texas, and in 1970 in Washington, DC. She was a member of Silverado Country Club in Napa, CA, with a golf handicap of 3. Following that, she suspended her golf career to pursue her teaching and coaching career. She coached gymnastics, volleyball, and softball, where her teams won many championships. In 1972 she married Carl Hieb (now deceased).
After moving to Sun City West in 1996, she returned to golf. Norma was an avid golfer, with a beautiful and admired swing. She and Vickie Bricker, her friend and tournament partner, won several times in Arizona Women's Golf Association Tournaments. Norma was 3 X Winner of the Arizona Women's Golf Association Legends Trophy, 3X Club Champion of The 500 Club, and 4X Club Champion of Grandview Golf Club. She was the Golf Coordinator for the summer LASSI golf group for 11 years.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Batianis and brother Richard Hill, Ypsilanti, MI.
She leaves behind many good friends, Maggie her Airedale, and Carol Hisey, her very close friend of 55 years.

Carmen R. Kortge Hout
Carmen R. Hout (Kortge) Born September 14, 1923 Fall River, Wisconsin. Passed September 14, 2012 Sun City, AZ. Carmen Hout beloved wife and mother passed quietly at 89 years old.
married to Lee Hout in 1950 and widowed in 2007 both Carmen and Lee dedicated their lives to helping others through foster parenting and social services.
She attended college in Michigan where she met Lee. Carmen was a teacher throughout her life, in and out of the classroom. Carmen retired from Blackhawk College's annex at the Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island, Illinois. There she ran an independent learning lab that helped soldiers achieve a higher education.
Carmen is survived by her children Susan and Kevin, his wife Karen and grandson Andrew, Carmen's brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Mary Kortge along with their son Ken.
Services to be held Sunday, September 16 at Lakeview United Methodist Church a 2:00 P.M.
Willard "Bill" Kottke
Willard "Bill" Kottke passed away September 1, 2012 in Surprise. He is survived by his wife, Lois; son, Randy; sisters, Hilda and Irma.
Bill was born in Enderlin, North Dakota to August and Augusta Kottke, one of 8 children. He grew up in North St. Paul, Minnesota. Attended St. Cloud State College and received his Master's Degree from the University of Minnesota. He was a teacher, professor, and an administrator at the high school, college, and university level during his career in education.
Bill served in the U.S. Army Air Force and was a World War II veteran.
Bill was a P.G.A. member for 22 years. He learned the game of golf watching the club pros who would play at Northwood Country Club, where he worked as a caddy during his teenage years. He was the golf pro and manager at private and public courses in Minnesota, North Dakota and Texas. He played a golf exhibition with Babe Didrickson Zaharias and played rounds of golf with Sam Snead and Gene Littler.
In 1980, Bill and Lois became residents of Sun City West, enjoying the amenities of living in a retirement community.
Services were private. Sunland Mortuary handled arrangements.
