Marie Page Wroot, 82, longtime resident of Sedona and daughter of the Page pioneer family, died on Jan. 25, at home in Sedona.
Wroot was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace K. Wroot; and is survived by her daughter, Michele McKinstry; sisters Dorothy Steele and Julie Page Shipp; brothers Joseph Sidney Birch and Jack Page; a sister-in-law, Fanita Page; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews
A memorial service took place Saturday, Feb. 2, at Westcott Funeral Home, in Cottonwood.

Marjorie Esther Wedgbury, 90, formerly of Sedona, died June 9 in Boone, Iowa.
A Sedona resident for 11 years, in 2006 Wedgbury moved to Boone, Iowa.
Wedgbury was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell; and a son-in-law, Larry Reid. She is survived by five children: Sandra Reid, Steven [Linda] Wedgbury, Mary [Lonnie] Dill, H. Scott [Yutaka] Wedgbury and Phyllis [Ricky] Mahaffey; a sister, Marilyn Hakkenbeck; and 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held July 28 in Boone.
Martha N. Frazier

Martha N. Frazier, 99, of the Village of Oak Creek, Sedona, died Wednesday, Oct. 1.
Born in Ghent, Belgium, Frazier moved to Camp Verde in 1992 to be near her daughter. She was a Lutheran who valued church and family.
Frazier was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin L. Frazier; and is survived by a daughter, Carolyn [Jerry] Taylor, of Lake Montezuma; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
An Oct. 6 memorial service took place at Westcott Funeral Home.

Mary Jane Dexter Allison, 83, of Olympia, Wash., died Wednesday, Aug. 5.
She and her husband Bob were, for many years, winter residents in Sedona, where they loved hiking. They attended the Sedona Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
She is survived by her husband; her sons Bill, Mark, Carl, Matthew and Timothy; and seven grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Olympia Unitarian Universalist Church, Saturday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m.

Mary Marguerite Knock, 88, of Tacna, died Dec. 15 at home in her favorite chair.
A businesswoman, Knock was one of the oldest working women in Arizona.
Knock was preceded in death by her first husband, George Lee Moore; and her husband and business partner, Clyde Knock; and is survived by sons George and Tom Moore; daughters-in-law Claudine and Kathy Moore; a sister, Lois Cook; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

MaryEllen Lopez, born in St. Paul, Minn., and lived mostly in Santa Fe, N.M., died Friday, July 27.
Lopez was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ralph R. Lopez; and survived by her daughter, Jean [Robert] Jorgensen, of Sedona; a stepson, Ralph [Deborah] Lopez; two sisters and two brothers; and a grandson.
A memorial will take place Saturday, Aug. 11, at 1 p.m. at the Jorgensen home in Sedona.

A memorial tribute service for Pastor Jim Cunningham, who died Oct. 26, 2006, will take place Sunday, Feb. 4, at 12 p.m., at the Village of Oak Creek Community Nazarene Church.
Cunningham and his wife, Judith, were the founders of Village Nazarene Church.
The Village Nazarene congregation invites all who were touched by their lives and ministry to attend this tribute. The memorial will be followed by a reception luncheon.

Merle R. Zeschke, 77, a 22-year resident of Sedona, died Nov. 7.
Zeschke was an administrator in Illinois schools. He served in the U. S. Navy as a captain’s yeoman. Zeschke was a 20-year volunteer at Sedona Red Rock High School collecting scholarship donations.
Zeschke is survived by his wife, Barbara; a son, Steven; and a daughter, Lori.
A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the clubhouse at Oak Creek Estados.

Michael Thomas Voor-hees, 64, of Lake Montezuma, died April 23.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Voorhees was preceded in death by his father, Roger; and is survived by his wife, Rebecca Voorhees; his mother, Grace J. Voorhees- [Walter] Kilgard; a brother, Robert Reed Voorhees; and a sister, Mary Pat [James] Levan.
A graveside service will take place at Mountain View Cemetery, in Prescott, on Saturday, May 5, at noon.

Norma “Dee” Tripp, age 79, of Coweta, died June 28 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. She was a longtime resident of Sedona and Rimrock.
Dee is survived by two sons, Chad Robbins and Hoss Robbins; two daughters, Karla Grewing and Shawn Buck; one stepson, Blaine Tripp; one stepdaughter, Teri Ann Taylor; one brother, Michael Bellinger; two sisters, Jennie Tyhurst and Patty Ann Lopez; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Coweta, Okla.

Norman W. Blucher, a 19-year resident of Sedona, died Jan. 31.
Blucher, born in 1921 in South Dakota, is survived by his wife, Bernadine; a daughter, two sons and numerous grandchildren; a brother, Lennard; a sister, Elaine.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m., at Crestview Community Church, 1090 W. Hwy. 89A, Sedona. A reception luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall.

Olive M. “Ollie” Howard, 97, of Sedona, died Jan. 1.
A 43-year resident of Sedona, Howard was preceded in death by her first husband of 54 years, Chester W. Howard; her second husband, Eugene S. Munson; and is survived by a son, Wallace [Virginia “Gini”] Howard; an adopted daughter, Nancy; and eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A private memorial has taken place at the Sedona Community Cemetery.

He leaves his wife Joyce; daughters, Renee (Herb) Myers of New Jersey; Kim Linney of Texas; son, Cliff (Nancy) Zamazanuk of Missouri; Debby (Dean) Amundsen of California; stepchildren Jan (Ed) Williams of North Carolina; Richard Diaz and Steve (Ginny) Diaz of Nevada; Joy Farrelly and Eric Bock of Arizona; Tim Stump of Illinois; nieces Linda Arce and Cheyenne (Dave) Ashe of New York; 29 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 29, 6 to 8 p.m. and services will be Tuesday, Dec. 30, 10 a.m. at Greer’s Mortuary.

Pearl Joyce Vanderhoof, 87, died Sept. 1. A 20-year-resident of Sedona, she leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Fredric; daughters, Terry Foster, Cindy Vanderhoof, Ronny Frischer; and son Tom Vanderhoof; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was a remarkable lady, wife and mother and she will be greatly missed.
