Marjorie Esther Wedgbury, 90, formerly of Sedona, died June 9, 2008 in Boone, Iowa.
A Sedona resident for 11 years, in 2006 Wedgbury moved to Boone, Iowa.
Wedgbury was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell; and a son-in-law, Larry Reid. She is survived by five children: Sandra Reid, Steven [Linda] Wedgbury, Mary [Lonnie] Dill, H. Scott [Yutaka] Wedgbury and Phyllis [Ricky] Mahaffey; a sister, Marilyn Hakkenbeck; and 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held July 28 in Boone.
Ethelmae Allin

Ethelmae Allin, 88, of Cornville died at home on Thursday, June 12.
She was born on May 4, 1920, in Fort Wayne, Ind. During her youth she attended and graduated from St. Augustine’s Academy. She enjoyed shopping and target shooting.
Allin is survived by her sons Charles W. [Charlene] Allin and David J. [Lori] Allin; a daughter, Judy C. [Michael] Head; a brother, Julian Schone; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery in California.
Harold P. Morgan

Harold P. Morgan, 90, of Cornville, died July 8.
Morgan was a “cowboy poet,” and enjoyed playing the piano and guitar. He was a self-employed carpenter and home builder, as well as the owner and operator of Morgan Building Supplies and Lumber Yard.
Morgan is survived by his sons, John [Virginia] Morgan, Clarence Edward [Susan] Morgan and Jim [Kathy] Morgan; and his daughter, Rosie [Jerry] Alcorn.

Morgan Orrin Flaherty, 84, died June 9 in Sedona.
Born in Elk River, Minn., he is preceded in death by sons John and Neil; daughter, Cynthia Mackey; sister, Colleen Paschke; Flaherty is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce; daughters Karen Lane, Kathy Lemelson and Deborah Bingham; a brother, Nace; a sister, Jeri Lee; and 29 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 12 p.m., Friday, June 13, at Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix, with service to follow at 1 p.m..

Louise “Edie” Graves, 80, formerly of the Village of Oak Creek, died Saturday, Aug. 23.
Graves enjoyed tea with her lady friends, watercolor painting and walking her dog on the golf course looking for lost golf balls.
Graves was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; and is survived by her two daughters; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 2 p.m., at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Road, Phoenix.
Hugh C. Barefoot

Hugh Cameron Barefoot, 86, of Rimrock, died May 12.
Born in New Orleans, Barefoot joined the U.S. Navy in 1941 and taught the first all-black class of Navy students. He and his family moved to Prescott in 1975.
Barefoot was preceded in death by sons Clyde and Brian; and is survived by his wife, Betty; sons Bruce, Keith and Geoffrey Barefoot and Stephen Allgrove; daughters Bonnie Coster and Stacey Barefoot; four grandchildren; a niece.

Ruby F. Westensee-Dahl

Ruby F. Westensee-Dahl, 89, of Sedona, died May 14.
Dahl lived in Arizona for 40 years and Sedona for 10 years, enjoyed golf and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Dahl was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Dahl; and is survived by a brother, Robert Soderman and a sister, Ruth, of Minneapolis, Minn.
A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, at The Church of the Red Rocks.
Herbert W. Welp

Herbert W. Welp, 75, formerly of Del Mar, Calif., died Easter Sunday, April 8, at his home in the Village of Oak Creek.
Welp is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lorraine; and three children by a former marriage.
At Welp's request, no services are scheduled.

Harry Slater Coffer, 78, of Rimrock, died June 16.
The Korean War veteran moved to the Sedona/Verde Valley area in 1969, working as a block mason and U.S. Forest Service fire lookout.
Coffer was preceded in death by his first wife, Leslie Best; his second wife of 47 years, Delores “Dee” May Coffer; and is survived by Harry and Merrill Coffer; and a grandson, Jonathan.
Memorial services are Monday, July 7, at Emmanuel Fellowship at 6:30 p.m. in Cottonwood.
George Burns

George Burns, 79, Cottonwood, died Aug. 2. He was born Aug. 15, 1929, in Flagstaff, to Nelson and Althea Burns.
He is survived by second wife Virginia; mother Althea who is 103; son Gary; daughter Roxann Smith; three children by marriage; 10 grandchildren; brothers Tom and John; and sisters Mary Hughes and Elaine Hansen.
Memorial services will be at Mountain View United Methodist Church, Sunday, Aug. 23, at 2:30 p.m.

Philip H. Rajca, 64, of Cornville, died June 23 in a small aircraft accident. He was born Feb. 3, 1945 in Chicago, lived in Libertyville for 25 years and moved to Arizona in 2006.
Surviving are loving companion Virginia (Ginny) Snyder; three children, Diane Bierman, Jennifer (Trevor) Mooney and Dr. Brian (Amy) Rajca; two grandchildren; his mother; and former wife Susan Rajca.
A celebration of his life will take place at 810 Organ Pipe, Cottonwood, Saturday, July 11, noon to 4 p.m.

Alvin Odie Marchbanks, 62, of Cornville, died Aug. 2. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Marchbanks, son, Kevin Marchbanks, daughters Sherry Lynn Smart and Lydia Marchbanks; brother Wheaton Marchbanks, sisters Dorothy Clemens and Marie Marchbanks; sister-in-law Sharon Marchbanks and brother-in-law Andy Clemens; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Friday, Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. in Cottonwood Cemetery.

Hopkins was a resident of Sedona for 14 years. He was preceded in death by parents Kathryn and Angus Hopkins Jr., and is survived by wife Bette; sons Angus IV and Brad; daughters Debbie, Gail, Jody; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a resident of Sunset Village in Sedona and lived in Arizona for the last 15 years.
She is survived by her husband, George Chmielecki, of Sedona.
