Kathy Lee Gilmore

Kathy Lee Gilmore, 63, a 23-year resident of Kingman, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, in Kingman. Kathy was a Realtor in Kingman since 1988.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Jean Reagan. She is survived by her husband, Danny Gilmore Sr. of Kingman; two daughters, Kelly (Jeff) Tipton of Bullhead City and Jerry Gilmore of Bullhead City; son, Danny (Lori) Gilmore Jr. of Houston; two brothers, Ken (Judy) Reagan of Orange, Calif., and Bob (Michelle) Reagan of Cypress, Calif.; sister, Debbie Smith of Aurora, Colo.; mother-in-law, Donna Gilmore of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; six grandchildren, Christopher and Kaycie Gilmore, Danielle and Grant Gilmore, and Emily and Abbie Tipton; and two beloved pugs, Rambo and Shi Shi.
A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave., Kingman. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Peter Ernst will be officiating.

La Von G. Wilson

La Von G. Wilson, 83, of Kingman died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, in Kingman. She was born March 19, 1927, in Los Angeles. The service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at Mountain View Cemetery, 1301 Stockton Hill Road. Sutton Memorial Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Robert Lee Scarbeck

Robert Lee Scarbeck, 69, of Golden Valley died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, in Kingman. He was born Oct. 15, 1941, in Chicago.
Sutton Memorial Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Sandra Pelosi

Sandra Pelosi died on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, in Sun City West, Ariz., from recently diagnosed medical conditions. She was born in Paterson, N.J., in 1940 and graduated with a B.A. degree from Montclair State University in 1961. She also attended Columbia University in nearby New York. She was a teacher and a social worker.
She had been living in Kingman since 2003 with her husband of 48 years, Angelo Pelosi, Ph.D. Besides her husband and their two sons, she leaves a brother on the East Coast.
She was a member of the Kingman Republican Women, and as a soldier's angel she tirelessly wrote to our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. She liked the Arizona desert and the West. She enjoyed reading, working out at the gym, and watching old movies and old westerns. She loved driving her Pontiac Trans-Am W-6 Ram Air. She was a devoted mother and wife and will be greatly missed by her family.

Robert Dennis Smith

Robert Dennis Smith, 78, of Kingman died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, in Kingman. He was born March 14, 1932, in Cuba, N.M.

Jade Cooper

Jade Cooper was born Nov. 5, 1988, in Phoenix. Jade passed away on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at the Tucson Medical Center Hospice unit called Peppi's House. Jade was a very special girl and a joy to behold. She is survived by her father, Carl; her mother, Shelly; and her two brothers, Quincy and Magnus.
"I am standing on the seashore; a ship spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean. I stand watching her until she fades on the horizon and someone on my side says ... she is gone. Gone where? The loss of sight is in me, not in her. Just at the moment when someone says: she is gone. There are others who are watching her coming. Their voices take up the glad shout: Here she comes!" (a quote from Henry Holland).
A service for Jade's arrival in Heaven will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, at Grace Lutheran Church at 2101 Harrison St., Kingman, Ariz.; (928) 753-3068. In lieu of flowers or other thoughtful gestures, please make a donation in Jade's name to the KAOL Special Education Program, 3410 N. Burbank St., Kingman, AZ 86409.

Gloria Dusek

Gloria (Tachias) Dusek, 55, of Kingman, formerly of Flagstaff, died due to complications from surgery on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. Gloria was born Aug. 18, 1955, in Flagstaff to Tio and Liz Tachias. She attended Mt. Elden (Killip), EFJHS, Coconino High School and received both her bachelor's and masters degrees from Northern Arizona University. Gloria was the Mohave County Juvenile Detention Administrator in Kingman.
Gloria was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. Gloria loved to read, garden and tend to the wildlife around her home. Her greatest passion was spending time with her husband, Jerry, at home and as they traveled together.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Dusek of Kingman; sons, Eric Phagan (Kendie) of Midland, Texas, and Jason Dusek of San Diego; parents, Tio Tachias (Micha) of Phoenix and Liz Fajardo (Johnny) of Albuquerque, N.M., mother-in-law, Oleta Dusek of Kingman; sisters, Christine Gilbert (Willard), Sally McMillian (Tom) of Flagstaff and Karen Marez (Pat) of Grants, N.M.; brother, Tom Tachias of Phoenix; and three grandchildren, Dillon, Seivynn and C.J.; five nieces; six nephews; stepdaughter, Andrea Dusek; and her four-legged children, Doobie and Kitty.
Due to Gloria's love for animals and her belief in animal rights, donations may be made in her memory to the Sara McLachlan Animal Cruelty Fund at www.Habitat4pets.com or (800) 478-5944. A private remembrance was held in Las Vegas. Palm Mortuary (Nevada) handled the arrangements.

Charles Edward Bowling

Charles Edward Bowling, "Chuck" passed away peacefully in hospice care on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, in Phoenix. He was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Drift, Ky., to James Foster and Artie Bowling.
He moved his family to California in 1958 and then to Arizona in 1970. Chuck and his wife, Nancy, made Kingman their home in 1985. His working career included: a machinist, air-conditioning and heating company, trucking, and then repairing and rebuilding computers.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Carl Edward Bowling; three brothers; and grandchildren, Mishaunna and Jeffrey.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lois; and children, Bill Bowling of Kingman, Nancy Johnson-Zicafoose (Robert) of Scottsdale, Rick Bowling (Laura) of Phoenix, Rod Deeks (Kim) of Highland Village, Texas, and Jeff Bowling of Kingman. He also says goodbye to 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Harold Bowling, Anna Mae Perkins, Kenneth McKinney and Willard McKinney.
Services for Chuck are planned at a later date in Kingman. Chuck's long-winded stories of his travels and life will be dearly missed. Donations can be made in memory of Charles Edward Bowling to Hospice of the Valley, Sherman Home, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014 (www.hov.org).

Robert Ellingwood

Robert "Bob" Ellingwood died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010. Bob was born Jan. 24, 1933, in Arlington, Mass.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Norma; and six children, Patricia Boyer of Los Alamos, N.M., Carol Miller of Garner, N.C., Robert "Bob" Jr. of Millersville, Md., Ed (Michelle) of Huntington Beach, Calif., Scott (Christy) of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Brian of Sunnyvale, Calif. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Jeremiah (Juanita), Jason, Justin (Crystal), Stephanie, Kyle, Jennifer, Abby, Bobby, Zane and Lauren; and four great-grandchildren, Natasha, Chantel, Tiana and Quinn. Bob is also survived by two sisters, Janet Chartrand of San Jose, Calif., and Ruth Hart of Orange, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was a Korean War era veteran and a Mason. He enjoyed golf and watching sports, but his main enjoyment was traveling.
He will be dearly missed.

Marvella Lynn Larson

Marvella Lynn Larson, 63, of Kingman died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, in Kingman. She was born Jan. 9, 1947, in San Diego. Sutton Memorial Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Harold Jackson Farmer

Harold Jackson Farmer, 81, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010. He was born May 24, 1929, in Gauley Bridge, W.Va., to the Rev. Garah Hugh and Perie (Jackson) Farmer.
On May 25, 1948, he married Mary E. Dalton, who passed away, then later married Dorothy Downs on Dec. 11, 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Coeur d'Alene; brother, the Rev. Samuel A. (Mary) Farmer of Wheeling, W.Va.; sons, David H. (Sharon) Farmer of Coeur d'Alene and Aaron Scott (Wendy) Farmer of Eustis, Neb.; and daughter, Terry Carol (Frank) Schell of Broomfield, Colo. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E.; sister, Vivian Marie; and brothers, Chester and James H. Farmer.
"Hal" was a much loved husband and father but known to many others as an honors student; Air Force sergeant; railroad engineer; reservation missionary; minister; Special Education teacher, including several years at private and public schools in Kingman; test track driver; as well as an artist and musician. But Hal's stated greatest joy in life was starting prayer and Bible study groups, and watching them grow. Hal loved to lead people to faith in Christ.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Horan and McConaty Funeral Service, 3020 Federal Blvd., Denver. The funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, also at Horan and McConaty. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Fort Logan National Cemetery. A memorial service will also be held at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14, at the Life Care Center of Coeur d'Alene, 500 Aqua Dr., Coeur d'Alene. English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene, is in charge of the arrangements.

Maeser "Mego" Lund

Maeser "Mego" Lund died July 31, 2010, Phoenix. He was born Oct. 29, 1917, in Eagar born, one of 16 children to his loving momma and papa William Lund and Lucinda M. (Lee) Lund.
Mego was a cowboy, and a child of God. He was baptized in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Maeser was an army veteran of WWII serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Aleutian Islands as Staff Sergeant Mess Cook where he enjoyed serving others. After leaving the military honorably, he worked a block layer with John F. Long and also worked in Williams. He was an avid Suns and D-Backs fan who could always be heard saying "Come on Boys." "I love you Mego, We Love you Dad, We Love you Grandpa, We will miss you!"
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Marie C. (Pouquette) Lund, two children Therese M. (Lund) Holloway and Joseph W. Lund; two grandchildren Lisa M. Leeds and Heath A. Holloway and one great-grandchild Harley A. Holloway.
Funeral arrangements to be determined.
Cremation Society of Arizona is handling arrangements.

Fay Bryant Probst

Fay Bryant Probst died Aug. 5, 2010, at the age of 81, but will long be remembered for her gentle, loving kindness and good-hearted humor.
She was born July 16, 1929, to Charles and Isabel Bryant. She grew up in Pinedale, surrounded by five brothers and two sisters, four of whom survive (Lamar of Flagstaff, Jean of Mont., Lee of Snowflake and Bill of St. David).
She married Harry Probst of Holbrook in 1949, and later were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The two celebrated 44 years together, raising their family and living most of their adult lives in Oshkosh, Wis. They were loving parents to six children, Gregory (Maggie), Charles (Marylee), Robin (Daniel), Michael, Sandra (Reed) and Douglas (Jami), all of whom survive Fay, along with 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Harry and Fay returned to Pinedale in 1990 following Harry's retirement. Harry passed away in 1994, and Fay continued living in her childhood home. She took great pleasure in simple blessings, and hers was a life of dedicated service to her family, church, and community, especially work with the PTA, as a docent at the Paine Art Center, and innumerable church callings, including being a temple worker in her later years. She had an abiding love for books, music and the beauties of nature.
Visitation will be held at the Pinedale-Clay Springs Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints one hour prior to funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14. Interment will follow in the Pinedale Cemetery.

Orlando Whitehair
September 19, 1973 - April 24, 2010

Orlando Whitehair was born on September 19, 1973 in Phoenix, Arizona and passed away on April 24, 2010 in Mesa, Arizona with family at his side. He was 36 years old.
Orlando's childhood was spent in St. Johns, Arizona where he attended elementary school, grade school and high school; graduating from St. Johns High School.
He met and married his high school sweetheart, Kathlena (Altaha) Whitehair, whom he leaves behind. He is also survived by 2 beautiful daughters: Diamond Brook Whitehair, Twilla Camille Whitehair; mother, Mary Whitehair; brother, Gary Whitehair; and by his traditional god-daughter, Matraisa Ruelaine Johnson. Orlando is also survived by his father, George Whitehair; 1 sister, Patty James; 1 traditional god-sister, Shannon "Shine" (Pusher) Walker, numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
His life was spent taking care of his wife and daughters and by working in the construction industry as a drywalling specialist. However, Orlando loved the rodeo life. He was a champion bull rider and bronco rider. He taught his bull and bronco riding skills to his nephews and to Twilla. One of Orlando's other talents was that of speaking his mind. As a result of that talent he became an favorite announcer at numerous rodeos throughout cowboy country.
The wake for Orlando will begin 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the Whitehair family residence in McNary, Arizona. The funeral service will begin 10:00 A.M. Friday April 30, 2010 at the McNary Baptist Church in McNary. The concluding service and interment will follow at the McNary Cemetery.

Warren G. Heimbach

Warren G. Heimbach joined his loving wife Dorothy Aug. 8, 2010, in Tucson.
He was born June 6, 1922, in Fullerton, Pa.
He is survived by his daughter, Gail Kilburn (Jerry); son Gary Heimbach (Betty); grandchildren Adrian, Steven, Jason, Ryan and Lindsay; great-grandchildren Zane, Aksel, Jocelyn; and his companion Lenore Crofford.
There will be a memorial visitation with military honors Friday, Aug. 13, in Koch Chapel at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1200 N Campbell in Tucson and a memorial service to be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21 at Solterra Senior Living in Wagon Wheel.

David Jeffery George

David Jeffery George, 45, of Taylor died Aug. 3, 2010. He was born April 13, 1965, in Orange County, Calif.
He is survived by his mother Julia Freeman of Ala.; father Gary George, Sr. of Colo.; children Gary, Tierney and Nikki; two grandchildren and step-brothers Terry, Ronnie and Kent Freeman.
