2, 2005 at age 77 years. Esther
was a telephone company pioneer
for 41 years. She is survived by
daughter Nancy Sorensen of Mesa,

FL., granddaughter Shannon
Sorensen of Monticello, MN.,
and 2 great grandchildren. A Memorial

Sunday, October 9, 2005. Mr. Baker,
an Aerospace Engineer, was born
in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mr.
Baker is survived by his wife

Shelly Steele; son Nathan
Baker; step-son Kenneth Steele;
nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

11, 2005. Mr. Sayles, a Fork
Lift Operator, was born in Bradford,

Dorothy M. Borman
Dorothy M. Borman, 84, passed
away on Friday, October 14, 2005.
A native of Escanaba, MI, she
moved to Crete, Illinois in 1944. She
was a preschool teacher for 15
years and a homemaker. After retirement
in 1976, she and husband
George moved to Roswell, where
she became a skilled rockhound,
artist, wood carver and poet. She
will always be remembered for her
smile, bubbly personality and as
the lady with a “HUG”. Mrs.
Borman is survived by her son,
Gary, his wife Wanda, of Apache
Junction; three grandchildren, Clint
Borman (Sherri), Shanna Stout
(Treager) and Chad Borman; four
great-grandchildren, Aylin Stout,
Rigil Stout, Troy Borman, Tagen
Stout and sister Beverly Staaden
of Racine, WI; nephew David
Borman of Roswell, NM. The family
extends its greatest appreciation
to all of her friends for their continued
support. She will be interred at
The National Veteran’s cemetery
in Santa Fe, NM. Donations in her

John Dwight Hettler
John Dwight Hettler, 91, of Apache
Junction, AZ passed away on October
19, 2005. He was born to Carl
and Clara Hettler in Wabash, IN on
May 25, 1914. John moved to Arizona
60 years ago from Indiana. He
became very active in the community
of Apache Junction and was a
charter member for several organizations
such as American Legion,
VFW, 40/8, BDOE and the Moose
Lodge. He was preceded in death
by three sisters Marvine Hayes,
Bettie Coen and Mary Lou Burch
and one brother Jack C. Hettler. He
is survived by son Rick (Barb)
Hettler; sister Joan Wade of
Wabash, IN; brother James Hettler
of Wabash, IN; granddaughter Kelly
(Santiv) Bhatia and great grandaughter
Riley Bhatia. Visitation
will be held Tuesday, October
25, 2005 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
at Apache Junction Mortuary w/
services to directly follow the visitation.
Burial will be the same day
at 2:00 pm at Green Acres cemetery
in Scottsdale.
