York and is survived by his sons

and Michael Anthony; daughters
April Rose and Autumn Lynn; two
grandchildren and sisters Jean,

Richard A. Swirtz, 76, of Brooklyn
Park, Minnesota, passed away on
Friday, January 27, 2006 while visiting
his daughter. Mr. Swirtz, a
meter manager, was born in Minneapolis,

John C. Winkler
John C. Winkler, of Apache Junction,
formerly of Monroe, Wisconsin,
passed away on Monday,
January 30, 2006. John was born
August 17, 1925 in Fairchild, WI,
the son of John Winkler, Sr. and
Esther Armstrong. He enlisted in
the United States Marine Corp on
August 12, 1943, proudly serving
his country in the Pacific during
World War II and was honorably
discharged on December 31, 1945.
He married Jean Yeagle on September
7, 1946 in Freeport, IL. John
worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the
Green County Sheriff’s Department
before retiring in 1984. John and
Jean were Monroe residents for 58
years before moving permanently
to their Arizona winter home in
2004. He was a member of Monroe
Bible Church and Wisconsin Law
Enforcement Assn. Mr. Winkler is
survived by his wife, Jean of
Apache Junction, children Craig
(Judy) Winkler of Metter, GA,
Kevin (Kris) Winkler of Monroe,
Sheri (Gary) Hodgson of
Browntown and Kurt Winkler/fiancee
Jennifer Puhl, both of
Clarksville, TN; eight grandchildren;
sister Betty (Walter) Guffey
of Loves Park, IL and several neices
and nephews. Funeral services
were held in Saturday, February 4,
2006 at Monroe Bible Church, Monroe,
WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be given in John’s name to
Sunshine Acres of Mesa, AZ., Rawhide
Inc., or Hospice Inspiris of
Phoenix, AZ. Transportation arrangements
were entrusted to

Hazel Estyl Dinmeyer Casper
Hazel Estyl Dinmeyer Casper, 92,
of Apache Junction, Ariz. died Jan.
30, 2006 at Banner Gardens Hospice
of Mesa. She was born Oct.
14, 1913 near Dola in Hardin
County, Ohio to Fred A. and
Wilhelmina (Willeke) Dirmeyer.
Hazel married Paul H. Casper in
1934. They moved briefly to California,
then returned to farm in
Ohio. Later they moved permanently
to Arizona. They lived in
Phoenix, Globe, and Springerville
until retiring to Apache Junction.
Hazel considered Springerville
“home.” She was employed for
many years as Springerville Town
Clerk. Prior to that, she worked for
the Becker Power and Light Company
and for the Springerville
Water Department. She was an
active member of the Community
Presbyterian Church where she
taught Sunday School and led
youth activities.
She was a member and past
president of Business and Professional
Women, was active White
Mountain Community Hospital
Auxiliary and the White Mountain
Historical Society. Hazel enjoyed
hiking and fishing in the
White Mountains. Although they
had no children of their own, she
and Paul befriended and
mentored many who looked upon
her as mom and grandmother. She
will be remembered as a gentle and
gracious lady who always put others
first through acts of kindness.
Her survivors include her husband
of 71 years, Paul H. Casper;
sister Opal Ruppright, Dola,;
brother Lauren (Dorothy), Dola;
sisters-in-law Elwanda Casper,
Ada and Violet (Virgil) Good,
Dola’ and numerous nieces and
nephews up to four generations.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m.
Friday, Feb. 3, 2006 at the Community
Presbyterian Church,
Springerville, Arizona Memorial
contributions may be made to the
church. Burnham Mortuary, 535
N. Main St. Eagar, AZ has been
entrusted with arrangements.
William A. Anderson
William A. Anderson, 71, of
Gold Canyon, passed away on
Monday, December 26, 2005.
Mr. Anderson, a construction
superintendent, was born in
Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Anderson
is survived by his wife Betty L.
Anderson; daughters Lynn
Brown and Linda Halbert; son
Allen Anderson; sister Marie
Ingertilla; brother Kelly Anderson
and three grandchildren.

Brian Daniel Lee, 19, of Apache
Junction, passed away on Friday,
December 23, 2005. Mr. Lee, a disabled
adult, was born in Florence,
Arizona. Brian is survived by his
mother Debra Lee; uncle Johnny;
great-uncle Charles; brother A.J.;
grandparents Mama Shirley and
Papa Alfred and many loved ones
and relatives. Brian was preceded
in death by his sister Misty. A special
