Douglas Bates Massey died Sunday May 30, 1999, in Kingman. He was 59.
Mr. Massey was born Dec. 16, 1939, in Springfield, Mass., and was a self-employed accountant. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years.
Mr. Massey is survived by: his wife, Judy Massey of Kingman; three daughters, Linda Fair of Kingman, Tiffany L. Street of Mesa, and Heather D. Hopkins of Flagstaff; three sons, Richard D. Massey of Las Vegas, Wade N. Massey of Kingman, and Darren W. Massey of American Fork, Utah; one brother, David Massey of Las Vegas; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today - Wednesday June 2, 1999 - at Desert View Funeral Chapel, and at 1 p.m. Thursday June 3, 1999, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Rutherford. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Bishop Jim Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Paul A. Forqueran
Paul A. Forqueran died Saturday May 29, 1999, in Kingman. He was 84.
Mr. Forqueran was born July 26, 1914, in Oaklawn, Ill., and was a master carpenter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Forqueran is survived by: his wife, Mary Forqueran of Kingman, one son, Tomas Forqueran of Kingman; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at held at 11 a.m. Tuesday June 1, 1999, at Desert View Funeral Chapel. Cremation was handled by Sutton Crematory.
Dewayne Cameron
Dewayne Cameron died Wednesday, May 26, 1999, in Kingman. He was 74.
Mr. Cameron was born Dec. 31, 1924, in Tocca, Ga. He lived in Kingman for four years, coming here from Willcox. He served in the military during World War II and the Korean War. He was an artist, working with oil paints, watercolors and pottery.
Mr. Cameron is survived by: wife Rebecca Cameron; two sons, Steven and Craig Cameron, both of San Jose, Calif.; one stepson, Robert Dunkle of Willcox; one sister, Meryl Phillips of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Wayne Cameron; and two grandchildren.
A memorial will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday June 5, 1999 at Hilltop Foursquare Church, 2215 Emerson Ave.
Betty Lou Kidd
Betty Lou Kidd died Thursday May 27, 1999, in Kingman. She was 58.
Mrs. Kidd was born Jan. 26 1941, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Kidd is survived by: her husband, William Harvey Kidd Jr. of Kingman; two daughters, Bonnie Lou Kidd-Smith of Kingman, and Cindy Irene Bombadear of Hemet, Calif.; one son, William Harvey Kidd III of Phoenix; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday June 2, 1999, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be at noon Wednesday, also at Sutton. The Rev. Robert Cutlipp will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Galen Leon Beckmon
Galen Leon Beckmon died Friday, May 28, 1999 in Ash Fork. He was 47.
Mr. Beckmon was born July 13, 1951 in Westphalia, Kan. He worked as a rancher. On June 21, 1996 he married Elaine Spaine. He was a member of the Assemblies of God.
Mr. Beckmon is survived by: wife, Elaine Spaine; five children, Tony Beckmon, Terry Beckmon and Tonya Taylor, all of Bliss, Idaho, and Jason Beckmon and Michelle Beckmon, both of Weiser, Idaho; five brothers, Raymond Beckmon of Kingman, Ralph Beckmon of Goading, Idaho, Ron Beckmon of Sacramento, Calif., Doyle Beckmon of Payette, Idaho, and Michael Beckmon of Ash Fork; sister Joyce Davis of Kingman; parents Cecil and Gilma Mae (Mace) Beckmon of Kingman; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 1999 at Mountain View Cemetery.
Lee Robinson
Lee Robinson of Kingman died Saturday, may 29, 1999. He was 75. Mr. Robinson was born July 2, 1923 in Atton, Texas. He was self employed, working for his heating and cooling company, LRJ Metal, until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of College Park Baptist Church and served in the Army during World War II.
He is survived by: wife Purnie (Elkins) Robinson of Kingman; two daughters, Connie Stoffels of Avondale, and Doris Robinson-Slovek of Strawberry; one son, Wayland Lee Robinson of Flagstaff; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son Alvis Joe Robinson.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at Mountain View Cemetery.
Nellie M. Pierson
Nellie M. Pierson died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999 in Kingman. She was 83.
Mrs. Pierson was born on May 4, 1916 in Florence, Neb. She lived in Kingman for the past five years. Previously, she lived in Beaumont, Calif., for five years, and in Woodland, Calif., for 15 years.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Pierson is survived by: two sons, Cody D. Pierson of Desert Hot Springs, Calif., and Michael W. Pierson of Beaumont, Calif.; three daughters, Rosie Stout of Sacramento, Calif., Patricia King of Kingman, and Judy K. Adams of Kingman; brother Dusty Elbert of Tampa, Fla.; three sisters, Jennie Hearnett of Murietta, Calif., Ellen Gandini of Sebastopol, Calif., and Virginia Longee of Winston, Ore.; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until noon on Friday, Sept. 3, 1999 at Weaver Mortuary in Beaumont. Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 3, 1999 at Riverside National Cemetery, staging area No. 5, Riverside, Calif.
Sam O. Campbell
Sam O. Campbell died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999 in Kingman. He was 83.
Mr. Campbell was born on Jan. 29, 1917 in Clark, Texas.
He moved to Kingman from Clark, Texas in the early 1930s. Mr. Campbell worked at many different mines in the area including the Producers Mine in Chloride. He later owned and operated an auto repair shop on Andy Devine Ave. He was also owner and operator of a Datsun car dealership until his retirement. He was a member and the Elks Lodge and served in the Navy.
Mr. Campbell is survived by: his wife of 43 years, Juanita Campbell of Kingman; son Stanley C. Campbell of Kingman; step-son, J. Dale Crook of Oklahoma; brother Bill Campbell of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Francis Fowler and Beatrice Lane of Houston, Texas, and Helen Wiggins of Katy, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and one sister.
No services are planned. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.
Willmar "Bill" Carey
Willmar "Bill" Carey of Golden Valley died Tuesday Aug. 24, 1999 in Kingman. He was 73.
Mr. Carey was born May 1, 1926 in Wolf Point, Mont. He lived in Golden Valley for 30 years after moving there from Montana. He was a ranch manager.
Mr. Carey served in the U.S. Army military police during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
Mr. Carey is survived by: son William E. Carey of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; three brothers, Kenneth of Chatsworth, Calif., Victor of Scottsdale, and George of Billings, Mont.; three sisters, June of Lynnwood, Wash., Cleo of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Mildred of Bellingham, Wash.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday Aug. 30, 1999 at American Legion Post No. 22, 3435 N. Verde Road on Golden Valley. The family asks that memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, be made to the Pet Protection Organization of Kingman, P.O. Box 54, Kingman, Ariz., 86402.
Clifford Wilson Blanton
Clifford Wilson Blanton died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999 in Kingman. He was 79.
Mr. Blanton was born July 7, 1920 in Holcomb, Mo. He served in the U.S. Navy in Korea and World War II, retiring after 20 years with the rating of chief petty officer, and later worked as a foreman in the city water department in Vernon, Calif., for 16 years.
Mr. Blanton is survived by: his wife, Katheryn of Kingman; one daughter, Linda Alston of Englewood, Calif.; one son, Clifford Blanton of Covina, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Bushey of Kensington, Conn. and Donna Boyett of Kingman; one stepson, Richard Smith of Gladstone, Ore.; and one sister, Joyce Bateman of Missouri. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Richard Ludwig.
Visitation will be held at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999. A funeral service follows at 2 p.m. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.
Mary Louise Gibbs
Mary Louise Gibbs died Wednesday Aug. 25, 1999, in Kingman. She was 87.
Mrs. Gibbs was born Dec. 14, 1911 in Battle Creek, Mich. She worked as director of the Kingman Head Start educational program for seven years. She was a member of the Katherine Heidenreich Adult Center.
Mrs. Gibbs is survived by: one son, Jim Matthews of Kingman; four daughters, Betty Block, Mary Ellen Meadows, Sarah Jane White and Susan Dugo, all of Kingman; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three nieces and several cousins. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; one sister, Catherine Elizabeth Von Evers; and one brother, Morris Brigstock.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday Aug. 27, 1999 at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Sutton Crematory will handle cremation.
William A. Powers
William A. Powers died Monday Aug. 23, 1999 in Kingman. He was 91.
Mr. Powers was born on July 23, 1908 in Kansas City, Mo., and lived in Kingman for 25 years. He was a mail carrier. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II.
Mr. Powers is survived by: his wife, Patricia Powers of Kingman.
No services are planned. Burial will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in California.
Sue Kathlyne "Kitty" Emery
Sue Kathlyne "Kitty" Emery died Saturday Aug. 21, 1999 in Phoenix. She was 57.
Mrs. Emery was born on March 24, 1942 in Hanford, Calif. She lived in Kingman for 20 years. She worked as the manager of Crazy Fred's truck stop.
She is survived by: her mother, Sue Shaw; two daughters, Kelly and Katrina of Kingman; one son, Thomas; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m., Friday Aug. 27, 1999 at Hualapai Mountain Park. Parking will be in the dirt area outside the gates. A shuttle service to cabin No. 2 will be available. A reception will follow at Church of Christ Fellowship Hall at Robinson Street and Stockton Hill Road.
Louise Huey Peterson
Louise Huey Peterson died Sunday Aug. 22, 1999 in Prescott. She was 90. Mrs. Peterson was born July 31, 1909 in Dustin, Okla., to James and Pheby (Price) Millsap.
Mrs. Peterson moved to Kingman from Oklahoma in 1946. While in Kingman, she worked at Mohave General Hospital for more than 20 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Manzanita Baptist Church. She was a 50-year member of Kingman Rebecca Lodge No. 12. She moved to Prescott in 1990.
Mrs. Peterson is survived by: two sons, Lawrence Huey of Wasilla, Ala., and Jerrel Huey of Ruston, La.; two sisters, Vera Rouse and Virginia Hall; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: husbands W.H. Huey and Martin Peterson; and one son, Eldon Huey.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday Aug. 26 at Manzanita Baptist Church, 2040 Golden Gate St. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Friday Aug. 27, 1999, at Mountain View Cemetery.
Ethel Mae McCraley
Ethel Mae McCraley, formerly of Kingman, died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999 in Eukiah, Calif. She was 84.
Mrs. McCraley was born in Prescott on Oct. 30, 1914.
Mrs. McCraley is survived by: her husband of 63 years, Don McCraley; daughter Dawnie McCraley of Redondo Beach, Calif.; three sons, Wade McCraley of Phoenix, Tom McCraley of Yuma, and Bob McCraley of Eukiah, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999 at Eversole Mortuary in Eukiah, Calif. Burial will be at Ogden Cemetery
in Ogden, Utah.
Ruby L. Jolls
Ruby L. Jolls died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999 in Kingman. She was 82.
Mrs. Jolls was born Nov. 16, 1916 in Flint, Texas. She moved to Kingman from California.
Mrs. Jolls was a homemaker. She was a member of the Worldwide Church of God.
Mrs. Jolls is survived by: one daughter, Rose M. Demming of Prescott; one brother, Leon Morrow of Flint, Texas; six grandsons; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Claude A. Jolls; and one granddaughter.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday Aug. 21, 1999 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Kingman. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.
Eloise B. Smith
Eloise B. Smith died Wednesday Aug. 18, 1999 in Kingman. She was 79.
Mrs. Smith was born April 16, 1920 in Eldon, Iowa. She lived in Kingman for 26 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Smith is survived by: her husband, Scott L. Smith of Kingman; one sister, Rena C. Lynch of Ottumwa, Iowa; three grandchildren.; and seven great-grandchildren.

Andy M. Kellum
Andy M. Kellum died Monday Aug. 16, 1999, in Kingman. He was 76.
Mr. Kellum was born on Nov. 29, 1922 in Line, Ark. He lived in Mohave County for 37 years after moving from Tucson. He was mine foreman for Duval Mine Corp and was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 22.
Mr. Kellum is survived by: his wife of 56 years, Katherine Kellum of Kingman; one daughter, Andra Goldberg of Kingman; one son, Roger Kellum of Kingman; two grandchildren; and two aunts.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday Aug. 20, 1999 at Sutton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Albert Leon Patch
Albert Leon Patch died Sunday Aug. 15, 1999 in Kingman. He was 79.
Mr. Patch was born April 23, 1920 in Toledo, Ohio. Before moving to Kingman, he lived in Michigan. Mr. Patch worked as a mason in the construction industry. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marines during World War II. He was awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was a member of the Sixth Marine Division Association, VFW and the Disabled American Veterans.
Mr. Patch is survived by: two sons: Bradley Patch and Mark Patch, both of Michigan; one daughter, Vicki Kitchen of Michigan; two sisters, Ellen Wickenheiser and Alicia Oldham; one brother, Victor Patch; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in Warren, Mich., on Friday, Aug. 20, 1999. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
Albert T. Salisbury
Albert T. Salisbury died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999 in Dolan Springs. He was 73.
Mr. Salisbury was born on Oct. 2, 1926 in Providence, R.I. He moved to Mohave County from Lomita, Calif. He lived in Mohave County for 12 years.
He worked as an electrician, roughneck, truck driver and mechanic. He retired from the City of Torrance. He was a member of the Elks Club.
Mr. Salisbury is survived by: wife Shirley Salisbury of Dolan Springs; three sons, Leslie, Steve and Gary; four daughters, Cindy, Pam, Jordan and Jeanine, all of California; three brothers, Jake, Ronald and Donald; sister Barbara; mother Josephine Rees of Providence, R.I.; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
