Alice Ardary Roberts

Alice Ardary Roberts died Friday June 11, 1999, in Kingman. She was 77.

Mrs. Roberts was born July 27, 1921, in Pittsburgh, Pa., and came to Kingman eight months ago from Phoenix. She was an occupational therapist.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by: one daughter, Mimi Shelago of Kingman; one son, David Roberts of Scottsdale; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Phoenix First Assembly of God Church. The date and time were not announced.

Henry M. Herridge

Henry Martin Herridge, a native of Kingman, died Thursday June 10, 1999, in Prescott. He was 71.

Mr. Herridge was born Aug. 25, 1927, in Kingman, to James and Mittie Herridge. He resided in Bagdad at the time of his death. He was a rodeo clown in Prescott, and was a member of the American Legion in Yarnell.

Mr. Herridge is survived by: his wife, Mildred Herridge; three daughters, Leah Rice of Kingman, Cheri Herridge of Phoenix, and Patricia of Bagdad; two sons, Dean of California, and Fred of Bagdad; one brother, Erwin of Kingman; one sister, Lenora of Colorado; her mother, Mittie of Kingman; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday June 14, 1999, at Memory Chapel in Prescott. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Genung Memorial Park.

Patricia Y. Higbee

Patricia Yvonne Higbee died Sunday June 6, 1999 in Kingman. She was 74.

Mrs. Higbee was born Jan. 14, 1925, at the White Star Farm in Flemington, W.Va., She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Higbee was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Manzanita Ward. She was a member of the Relief Society, and served as president of the Relief Society in 1967 and from 1980 to 1984.

Mrs. Higbee married Robert A. Higbee III on Jan. 1, 1941, in Okemah, Okla. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1995.

Mrs. Higbee is survived by two daughters; Sandra Hornick and Barbara Sharp, and two sons; Robert Higbee and Bradley Higbee all of Kingman, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation and funeral services were held on Wednesday June 9, 1999, at the Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints on Rutherford Avenue.

Burial will be in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. Sutton Memorial Funeral Home of Kingman is in charge of arrangements.

Harold Gene Havatone

Harold Gene Havatone died Monday June 7, 1999, in Kingman. He was 49.

Mr. Havatone was born Nov. 9, 1949, in Kingman and had been employed as a carpenter, teacher and firefighter.

Mr. Havatone is survived by: one daughter, LaToya Havatone of Kingman; and two brothers, Haines Starkey of Peach Springs, and Dayton Havatone of Prescott.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Friday June 11, 1999, at the multi-purpose building in Peach Springs. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday June 12, 1999, at the multi-purpose building. Jimmy Havatone will officiate. Burial will be in the Valentine Cemetery. Sutton Memorial Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Arthur V. Neff

Arthur V. Neff died June 4, 1999 in Kingman. He was 76.

Mr. Neff was born Aug. 30, 1922 in Denver, Colo. He worked in security and law enforcement. Mr. Neff was a decorated World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by: wife Peg, of Kingman; two sons, Scott of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Brad of Kingman; one daughter, Shery Gossen of Scottsdale; and eight grandchildren.

A private burial was held June 10, 1999, at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.

Patricia Higbee

Patricia Yvonne Higbee died Sunday June 6 in Kingman. She was 74.

Mrs. Higbee was born Jan. 14, 1925, at the White Star Farm in Flemington, W.Va., She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Higbee was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Cerbat Ward. She was a member of the Relief Society, and served as president of the Relief Society in 1967 and from 1980 to 1984.

Mrs. Higbee married Richard A. Higbee III on Jan. 1, 1941, in Okemah, Okla. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1995.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday June 9, 1999, at the Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints on Rutherford Avenue.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the LDS church on Rutherford Avenue. Bishop Melvin Adams will officiate.

Burial will be in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. Sutton Memorial Funeral Home of Kingman is in charge of arrangements.

Harold Donald Skinner

Harold Donald Skinner died Monday June 7, 1999 in Kingman. He was 86.

Mr. Skinner was born Oct. 8, 1912 in Longmont, Colo. He was a priest at St. Theresa's Church for 20 years.

Mr. Skinner served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 9, 1999 at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 1999 at St. Theresa's Orthodox Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Chloride Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Theresa's Church, 3049 Sycamore Ave., Kingman 86401.

Dorothy Lucille Burkhart

Dorothy Lucille Burkhart died Sunday, June 6, 1999 in Kingman. She was 86.

Mrs. Burkhart was born Feb. 8, 1913 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Mrs. Burkhart worked as a sewing machine operator for Douglas Aircraft for 25 years until her retirement in 1972. She was a member of the Kingman Christian Church. Mrs. Burkhart was also active in the Singles Club, Butler Sociables, Widowers and the Good Sam Club.

Mrs. Burkhart is survived by: one sister, Arlene Snyder of Santa Monica, Calif.; one brother, Kenneth Beeman of Kingman; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from noon until 3 p.m. on Friday, June 1,, 1999 at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.

Ernest Just

Ernest Just died Friday, June 4, 1999 in Kingman. He was 59.

Mr. Just was born May 25, 1940 in Bremerton, Wash.

He was a logger.

Mr. Just is survived b y: two daughters, Nancy Just of Colton, Calif., and Vicki just of Shelton, Wash.; son Harold Just of Camp Union, Wash.; sister Vera Just of Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Mel Just of Bremerton, Wash., and Fred Just of Camp Union, Wash.; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in Washington at a later date.

Clarence J. Bonnee

Clarence J. Bonnee died Tuesday June 1, 1999 in Kingman. He was 77.

Mr. Bonnee was born April 27, 1922 in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. Mr. Bonnee worked in construction as a painter for 50 years before retiring in 1995. He served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Lions Club.

Mr. Bonnee is survived by: daughter Linda Stoehr of Snowflake, Ariz.; three sons, David Bonnee; "Butch" E. Bonnee and Dennis Bonnee, all of Kingman; three sisters, Gwen, Geraldine and Helen; four brothers, Donald Bonnee, Jerry Bonnee, Art Bonnee and Larry Bonnee; and 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 8, 1999 at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Rockville, Md., 20852.

Arthur Richard Galloway

Arthur Richard Galloway died Monday May 31, 1999, in Kingman. He was 81.

Mrs. Galloway was born June 15, 1917, in Wallowa, Ore., and came here 20 years ago from Utah. He was a millwright, a member of the Elks, and the carpenter's union. He served in the U.S. Army and Navy during World War II. He was an avid rockhound, hunter and fisherman.

Mr. Galloway is survived by: his wife, Hilda M. Galloway; two sons, John T. Galloway of Houston, Texas, and Richard V. Galloway of Preston, Ida.; two daughters, Arleta Galloway of Hyrum, Utah, and JaNae Martin of Smithfield, Utah; two stepsons, William Francis of Clarinda, Iowa, and Robin Mathers of Carson City, Nev.; 25 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

No services were announced.

Carl Lee Griffith

Carl Lee Griffith died Tuesday June 1, 1999, in Kingman. He was 83.

Mr. Griffith was born Oct. 10, 1915, in Benton, Ill., and was a technical engineer with Ford Motor Co. for 18 years. He retired in 1976. Mr. Griffith was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a POW in Germany for one year.

Mr. Griffith is survived by: his wife, Billie Jean Griffith of Kingman; three daughters, Nancy Terhaar of Brooten, Minn., Susan L. Barbour of Kingman, and Linda Fitzgerald of Oswego, Kan.; one son, Carl L. "Bud" Griffith of Kingman; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday June 5, 1999, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation was handled by Sutton Crematory.

The family suggests donations to the Mohave County Historical Society, 400 W. Beale, Kingman 86401.

John Ronald Rohrer

John Ronald Rohrer of Dolan Springs died Saturday May 29, 1999, in Phoenix. He was 72.

Mr. Rohrer was born April 4, 1927, in Lincoln, Ill., and was a biotech for the Willow Beach National Fish Hatchery, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, for 22 years. He retired in 1987. Mr. Rohrer was a member of the VFW and Our Lady of the Desert Catholic Church in Dolan Springs. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Aleutians.

Mr. Rohrer is survived by: his wife of 42 years, Clarice French Rohrer; five daughters, Anne Page of Canada, Mary Edwards of Phoenix, Cati Piorkowski of Phoenix, Jeanne Rohrer of Texas, and Meg Ewing of Texas; three sons, John Rohrer of Washington, Joe Rohrer of Nebraska, and Matt Rohrer of Phoenix; two sisters, Marilyn Amberg and Lori Ohmes, both of Nevada; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday June 9, 1999, at Our Lady of The Desert Catholic Church in Dolan Springs. Hansen Mortuary of Phoenix has charge of the arrangements.

Loyd Hodges

Loyd Hodges of Seligman died May 31, 1999 in Prescott. He was 82.

Mr. Hodges was born near Munday, Texas, on March 25, 1917. He came to Arizona in 1938 and began working on ranches in southern Arizona and came to Seligman to work on ORO Ranch after serving in the South Pacific with the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Hodges competed in ropings and rodeos and in the 1980s, he helped establish the Cowpunchers Reunion Association of which he served as prsident for a year.

Mr. Hodges is survived by: one son, Jake Hodges of Seligman; two daughters, Diane Gatchel of Humble, Texas, and Nancy Soto of Mayer, Ariz.; two sisters, Pearl Hollis of Auburn, Calif., and Jewel Hodges of Lubbock, Texas; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Ruth Hodges, in August 1997.

No services were announced.

Lillie Belle Heathcock

Lillie Belle Heathcock died Tuesday June 1, 1999 in Kingman. She was 86.

Mrs. Heathcock was born Feb. 27, 1913 in Bowlegs, Okla., to Evan Madeline Wheeler Duncan and James Franklin Duncan.

At the time of her death, Mrs. Heathcock was a resident of British Colombia. She had been a resident of Kingman for 23 years. She had also lived in Ontario, Calif.

Mrs. Heathcock was active in the Republican Women's Club and the Powerhouse Kiwanis Club. During World War II she worked at Consolidated Aircraft in San Diego, Calif., and at Tinker Field in Oklahoma City, Okla. After the war, she worked for General Dynamics in Pomona, Calif., where she stayed until her retirement in the 1970s.

Mrs. Heathcock is survived by: daughter Sharon McMilon of Kingman; son Alonzo Heathcock of Fontana, Calif.; two step-daughters, Sarah Gallegos and Besse Fogle, both of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: husband, Lonzo Heathcock; and son James Melton Brewer.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 1999. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 7, 1999 at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
