Joseph Weber
Joseph Weber, 87, died Thursday Jan. 8, 1998, in Kingman.
Mr. Weber was born July 11, 1910, in North Bergen, N.J., and came to Kingman 25 years ago from Ohio. He was a truck driver for an oil company, retiring in 1970 after 30 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Mr. Weber is survived by: his wife, Bernadine Weber of Kingman; two sons, Robert Weber of Kingman and Richard Weber of Concord Township, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Virginia Long of Kingman; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Emil Weber, and one sister, Helen Karoko.
Services will be held at noon Saturday Jan. 17, 1998, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father James Alling officiating. Cremation handled by Sutton Crematory.

Wanda Pumphrey
Wanda Pumphrey, 62, died Tuesday Jan. 13, 1998, in Kingman
Mrs. Pumphrey was born Oct. 6, 1935, in Vinita, Okla. She came to Arizona 60 years ago from Oklahoma and has lived in Kingman since December 1997. She was a hospital medical transcriber for 10 years, having retired in 1997.
Mrs. Pumphrey is survived by: one sister, Wilva Keppel of Kingman; two sons; one daughter; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.
No services were held. Burial was in Desert Lawn Memorial Gardens in Mohave Valley. Stanley Burquist
Stanley Burquist, a former Kingman resident, died Thursday Dec. 31, 1997, in California. He was 85.
Mr. Burquist was born in 1912 and had lived in Kingman for 14 years before moving to California recently. He was retired from the motion picture industry.
Mr. Burquist is survived by: his wife, Eve Burquist of California; one son, Carl Burquist of Singletown, Calif.; one daughter, Carla of Ventura, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Services were held in California.
Dolores A. 'Dee' Smith
Dolores A. "Dee" Smith died Wednesday Jan. 14, 1998, in Kingman. She was 63.
Mrs. Smith was born April 12, 1934, in Cambridge, Ohio, and came to Kingman 21 years ago from California. She was a homemaker.
She held all offices with the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, was a life member of DAV Auxiliary Post No. 10 and was a state executive committeewoman. She was a Gold Club member of the North Shore Animal League of Port Washington, N.Y., and was a former publicity chairwoman for a pet food manufacturer.
Mrs. Smith was a past president of the Mohave County Humane Society and served as legislative chairwoman for Mohave County for the national and American humane societies. She was also a member of the Living Free Animal Organization of Idlewild, Calif.
Mrs. Smith is survived by: one son, Robert E. Smith of Sterling, Va.; three sisters, Ethel Robertson and Margaret Maywhool of Westminster, Calif., and Mona Malley of Downey, Calif. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Clarence H. Smith, in 1987; one stepson, Clarence L. Smith; one brother, James Siegfield; and several nieces and nephews.
No services were held. Cremation was handled by Sutton Crematory.

A new day and time has been set for memorial services for Mary A. Peabody, who died Thursday Jan. 8 in Kingman at the age of 74.
Instead of the original Friday service, memorial services will now be held at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday Jan. 18, 1998, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.

Mary A. Peabody died Thursday Jan. 8, 1998, in Kingman. She was 74.
Mrs. Peabody was born May 17, 1923, in Aberdeen, S.D. She was a nurse's aid and came to Kingman 12 years ago from California.
Mrs. Peabody is survived by: her husband, Gene Peabody of Kingman; three daughters, Irene Billingsley of Poway, Calif., and Leann Norris and Sandra Land, both of Kingman; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two nephews; several cousins; and one aunt. She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Peabody, in 1983; and one sister, Inez, in 1997.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday Jan. 16, 1998, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.
Fannie Lovin Woodward
Fannie Lovin Woodward, a native of Kingman, died Sunday Jan. 11, 1998, in Bullhead City. She was 99.
Mrs. Woodward was born March 5, 1898, in Kingman, moved to Tennessee, and returned to Kingman 51 years ago. She was educated at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent in Hollwood, Calif., and Ward Belmont College in Nashville, Tenn. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
In April of 1945, Mrs. Woodward was appointed executive secretary of the Mohave County Chamber of Commerce, a position she held for three years. As secretary, she organized chambers of commerce in Oatman and Bullhead City. She served as area secretary for the Arizona Tuberculosis and Health Association, which included Mohave, Yavapai and Coconino counties.
She was a director in the U.S. Highway 66 Association and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a charter member of the Daughters of Mohave County Pioneers and was honored in the pioneer division of the Women Making History awards.
Mrs. Woodward organized the first Mohave County Fair in 1946 and she was a former attache for the Arizona State Senate.
Mrs. Woodward is survived by: one daughter, Jane Woodward Adair of Seguin, Texas; one son, "Bud" Henry Ledger Woodward of Phoenix; two grandchildren; and one nephew.
Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight - Wednesday Jan. 14, 1998 - at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Services will held be at 2 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 15, 1998, at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. John McLeester officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
The family suggests donations be made to a charity of choice.
Keith Frank Goehry
Keith Frank Goehry died Saturday Jan. 10, 1998, in Kingman. He was 67.
Mr. Goehry was born Sept. 18, 1930, in Chicago and came to Arizona from Iowa 32 years ago. He had lived in Kingman since 1991, having come here from Phoenix. He ran Keith's Body Shop for 20 years and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Phoenix.
Mr. Goehry is survived by: his wife, Diane Goehry of Kingman; three daughters, Debbie Thomas and Cris Lucia, both of Phoenix, and Vicki Slater of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sons, Rick Goehry and Randy Goehry, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Mabel Goehry of Wildwood, Ill.; four sisters, Gloria Kosmicki and Kate Milchuck, both of Wildwood, Ill., Pat DeFigurdo of Paletine, Ill., and Shirley Hartel of Wausau, Wisc.; two brothers, Jerry Goehry of Chicago and Neal Goehry of Wildwood; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
No services are planned. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.
Stephen Crawford
Stephen Crawford died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, in Kingman. He was 60.
Mr. Crawford was born June 4, 1937, in Blackford County, Ind. He was a mechanic at the Ford Proving Grounds for 23 years before retiring in 1995.
Mr. Crawford is survived by: his wife, Joyce Kaczor-Crawford of Lake Havasu City; one son, Stephen Crawford of Corbin, Ky.; one daughter, Cristine Patrykus of Norco, Calif.; three sisters, Mary Margaret (Billie) North of Muncie, Ind., Irma Nuckols of Hartford City, Ind., and Eleanor Jeffers of Dunkirk, Ind.; three brothers, Paul Crawford of Redkey, Ind., Loyd Crawford of Glendale and Stanley Crawford of Avon Park, Fla.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Brent, and three sisters, Ruth, Kaye and Wanda Luzadder.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday Jan. 13, 1998, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday Jan. 14, also at Sutton's.
Sutton Memorial Funeral Home will handle the cremation.

William Arthur 'Bill' Benjamin
William Arthur 'Bill' Benjamin died Wednesday Jan. 7, 1998 in Kingman. He was 55.
Mr. Benjamin was born in Kingman Oct. 19, 1942. He lived in Montana before returning to Kingman five years ago. He was an Army veteran; a member of the American Legion; and the Moose lodge. He was a self-employed silversmith.
Mr. Benjamin is survived by: his wife, Doreen Benjamin of Kingman; three daughters, Leanne Chavez of Spring Valley, Calif., Lonna Davis of Kingman; and Leslie Grage of Ohio; on stepson, Anthony Cayedito of Kingman; one stepdaughter, Monica Sedillo of Grants, N.M.; one sister, Sue Snell of Kingman; two grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, 1998 at Mountain View Cemetery. The Rev. Pete Ernst will officiate. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.
Evelyn G. Watkins
Evelyn G. Watkins of Wikieup died Monday Jan. 6, 1998 in Wickenburg. She was 71.
Mrs. Watkins was born June 10, 1926 in Sweetwater, Texas, and came to Arizona from California 55 years ago.
Mrs. Watkins is survived by: daughter Christine Walker of Wikieup; son Dan Walker of Wikieup; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 14, 1998 at the Wikieup Bible Church. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery
in Kingman. Frey Funeral Home and Crmation Service of Wickenburg is handling the funeral arrangements.
Robert B. Reno
Robert B. Reno died Wednesday Jan. 8, 1998 in Kingman. He was 76.
Mr. Reno born on April 23, 1921, in Norwood, Ohio, and came to Kingman 20 years ago from California. Mr. Reno retired in 1970 from a 20-year career as a law enforcement officer. He served in the U.S. Navy from April 1942 until September 1945. He was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Reno also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Reno is survived by: his wife, Patricia Reno of San Diego, Calif.; three sons, James P. Reno of Upland, Calif., Thomas J. Reno of San Diego, Calif., and Fred R. Reno of Riverside, Calif.; one brother, Ed Reno of Chicago, Ill.; two granddaughters; three grandsons; and one great-grandson.
Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.
Sarah Frances Kersey
Sarah Frances Kersey died Wednesday Jan. 7, 1998, in Bullhead City. She was 89.
Mrs. Kresey was born Feb. 18, 1908, in Fort Plains, N.Y., and was a seamstress.
Mrs. Kresey is survived by: two daughters, Lois Corbin of Kingman, and Wynema Faye Shumate of Ladson, S.C.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Private services were held. Dimond & Sons Silver Bell Chapel had charge of the arrangements.
Faye W. Wray
Faye W. Wray died Thursday Jan. 8, 1998, in Kingman. She was 66.
Mrs. Wray was born April 24, 1931, in Kingman and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of the Daughters of the Pioneers and was a volunteer with the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.
Mrs. Wray is survived by: two sons, Larry Heathington and Tom Heathington, both of Kingman; two daughters, Leeann Thornton of Kingman and Lori Blair of Reno, Nev.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece; and one nephew.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday Jan. 11, 1998, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.
Keith Howard George
Keith Howard George died Friday Jan. 2, 1998, in Kingman. He was 78.
Mr. George was born Jan. 29, 1919, in Portland, Ore., and came to Arizona 22 years ago from California. He had lived in Kingman for nine years and was a self-employed landscaper.
He was also a family historian and author of the George family book of geneology in August 1991.
Mr. George is survived by: one daughter, Linda Ferrer of San Diego, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
No services were held. Cremation was handled by Sutton Crematory.
Harry W. Feldman
Harry W. Feldman, a former Kingman resident, died Wednesday Jan. 7, 1998, in Santa Cruz, Calif. He was 68.
Mr. Feldman was born in Wilmington, Calif. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was graduated cum laude from Santa Clara Law School in 1960 and practiced law in California and Arizona. He was a member of the Los Gatos (Calif.) Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite, a member and past exalted ruler of Kingman Elks Lodge No. 468 and a member of a Kingman American Legion Post and the Fleet Reserve.
Mr. Feldman served as a judge for the Hualapai Indian Reservation in Peach Springs and owned and operated a mushroom farm, "Kingman Farms." He lived in Santa Cruz since 1981.
Mr. Feldman is survived by: his wife, Shirley Feldman of Santa Cruz; one son, Harry W. Feldman of Belmont, Calif.; three daughters, Carol Horras, Virginia Cardenas and Terri Akers, all of Phoenix; two brothers, Arthur Feldman of Twentynine Palms, Calif., and Arland Feldman of San Jose, Calif.; one sister, Virginia Hays of Santa Cruz; five stepsons, James Stout of Pico Rivera, Calif., Steven Stout and Craig Stout of Santa Cruz, Scott Stout of Fullerton, Calif., and Sean Stout of San Francisco; one stepdaughter, Diane Stout of Addison, Ill.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date. Santa Cruz Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests contributions to the Shriners' Hospital for Crippled Children.
Alice Theresa Vonnahme
Alice Theresa Vonnahme died Monday Jan. 5, 1998, in Kingman. She was 92.
Mrs. Vonnahme was born June 25, 1905, in Beroun, Minn. and came to Kingman 20 years ago from California.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was also a St. Vincent De Paul Society volunteer, and frequented the Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center. She was a member of the American Federation of State and County Municipal Employees AFL-CIO No. 151 in St. Paul, Minn.
Mrs. Vonnahme is survived by: one son, James Guenther of Murrieta, Calif.; one sister, Edith Skalicky of Hinkley, Minn.; four brothers, Joseph Ouradnik of Key West, Fla., Theodore Ouradnik and Paul Ouradnik, both of St. Paul, Minn., and Robert Ouradnik of Beroun, Minn.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. to noon today - Thursday Jan. 8, 1998 - at Sutton Memorial Funeral home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Peter Dobrowski officiating. Burial will be in Chloride Cemetery.
Naithan Eaton
Naithan Eaton died Wednesday Jan. 7, 1998, in Kingman. He was 70.
Mr. Eaton was born Jan. 28, 1927, in Crane, Mo., and came to Kingman 46 years ago from California. He was a cement transport truck driver and retired in 1976.
Mr. Eaton is survived by: his wife, Lorna Eaton of Kingman; one son, Melvin Eaton of Boonesville, Mo.; two daughters, Barbara Stevenson of Kingman and Betty Golden of Detroit, Mich.; four sisters, Margaret Cummins of Buckeye, Naithleen Koger of Taloga, Okla., Sue Cooley of Seiling, Okla., and Ruby Billings of Muskogee, Okla.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
No services will be held. Cremation was handled by Sutton Crematory.
