Sandra Jean Steele, 46

Sandra Jean Steele, 46, of San Carlos, Ariz., passed away on Monday, Oct. 5, 2009 at Scottsdale Healthcare. She was born in Superior, Ariz. on June 21, 1963, the daughter of Riley and Leah Steele.

She was a detention officer and employed by the San Carlos Apache Tribe.

She is survived by sons, John Steel and Wally Nosie

Dickson Dewey, 71

Dickson Dewey, 71, of San Carlos, passed away on Sept. 29, 2009. He was born in San Carlos, Ariz. and was a lifetime Arizona citizen.

He worked as a security guard for San Carlos Indian Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Dewey of San Carlos, Ariz.; son, Darrell Dewey of Phoenix Ariz.; and sister, Therlen Benally of Peridot.

Luther Diehl, 89

Luther Diehl, 89, of Globe, Ariz., passed away on Sept. 24, 2009 at Copper Mountain Nursing Home in Globe. He was born in Texas on Dec. 18, 1919.

Luther was a pleasant man and grateful to his case workers. Even though he had bad eyesight, Luther was compensated with a great memory and could recite beautiful poetry.

Angel C. Moya, 88

Angel C. Moya, 88, of Globe, Ariz. passed away on Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 at the VA Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia Barela Moya; five children, Barbara Clemo (John), Terry Moya (Roseann), David Moya, George Moya, Sharon Munoz (Eddie), all of Globe.

Stella Stanley Boni, 83

Stella Boni, 83, of Peridot, Ariz., passed away Dec. 7, 2009 in San Carlos, Ariz. Stella was born Dec. 23, 1925 in Bylas, to Duncan Stanley and Maggie Wright.

She attended the Indian School in Albuquerque, N.M. Stella was a homemaker who loved to sew, make stuffed animals and spend time with her children, grandchildren and other family members.

Billy L. Lyon, 51

Billy L. Lyon, 51, of Globe, Ariz., or "Sponge," as he was known to his friends, passed away on Monday, Dec. 7, 2009 at Cobre Valley Community Hospital. He was born Feb. 4, 1958 in Montrose, Colo., the son of Leroy and Lila Lyon.

He previously lived in California and lived in Arizona for 10 years.

Lucy R. Romero

Lucy R. Romero was born on Sept. 22, 1913, in Jerome, Ariz., the daughter of Sixto and Elisa Rodriguez. She was the oldest of four children. At the age of five they suffered the loss of their mother. Lucy and her siblings were sent to live on a ranch in Wickenburg, Ariz., to be raised by their Tio and Tia.

Victoria ‘Vicki’ Rose Frazier, 90

On Dec. 8, 2009, Victoria "Vicki" Rose Frazier, 90, passed away peacefully with her son Mike and daughter Debbie at her side. Vicki was born in Saddle Mountain, Oklahoma on Nov. 1, 1919, to Annie and Archie Stansberry. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Oma Lee and Ruth; and brother, Wesley.

Justin James Elgo, 38

Justin James Elgo, 38, of San Carlos, Ariz., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 at San Carlos Indian Hospital. He was born on Sept. 12, 1971 in San Carlos, Ariz., the son of Johnson and Abbie Elgo.

He previously lived in Idaho and lived in Arizona for three years. He was a welder for a farm equipment manufacturing company.

Harold M. ‘Hal’ Thompson, 73

Harold M. "Hal" Thompson, Sr., 73, of Globe, Ariz., passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2009 at Gilbert Mercy Medical Center in Gilbert Ariz. He worked in law enforcement in Alaska and Arizona and worked for B. J. Cecil's Trucking Company for 17 years.

Hal loved fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband.

Marjorie Lois Spilker, 91

Mrs. Marjorie Lois Spilker, 91, of Globe, Ariz., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009 at Heritage Health Care Center in Globe.

She was born on April 4, 1918 in Monroe County, Ind., the daughter of Estel and Flossie Lanam.

She previously lived in Indiana and moved to Arizona in 1978, where she lived for 31 years.

Lyn Wayne Billingsley, 51

Mr. Lyn Wayne Billingsley, 51, of Globe, Ariz., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 in Globe.

He was born in Miami, Ariz. on March 23, 1958, the son of Neal and Patsy Billingsley.

He worked as an electrician for I.B.E.W. local union #518. Lyn grew up and graduated from Miami High School in 1976.

Eddie P. Moreno, 80

Eddie P. Moreno, 80, of Miami, Ariz., passed away Dec. 4, 2009 in Phoenix surrounded by family. He was born March 3, 1929 in Glendale, Calif.

Eddie shared a 58-year marriage with his loving wife, Mary. He spent 24 years as a miner for Magma Copper Co. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed.

Dorothy Lee Dilbeck Drake

Dorothy Lee Dilbeck Drake passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009 at the Scottsdale Mayo Clinic. She was born in Glendale, Ariz. on Jan. 7, 1946. Dorothy was a faithful wife and mother.

She leaves behind her husband of 45 years, Bill Drake, her daughter, Cheryl, and her son, Michael, all of Globe; three granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; two sisters.

Autumn Rose Natsyn, 3

Autumn Rose Natsyn, 3, of San Carlos, Ariz., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 at San Carlos Indian Hospital. She was born in Globe, Ariz. on Nov. 14, 2006, the daughter of Jimmy Natsyn and Velda Bahlen.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Anna Talkalai and Gerald Natsyn.

Autumn Rose is survived by her parents.

Vera Ida Casoni, 87

Vera Ida Casoni, 87, lifelong resident of Globe, passed away on Dec. 3, 2009 at Casa De La Luz Hospice in Tucson, Ariz.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Primo; sister, Irene Elolf; and brother, John Vezzetti.

She is survived by a sister, Trudy (Rolland) Lowe of Globe; son, Larry (Maryann) Casoni of Tucson.

Margaret Termain, 94

Margaret Termain, formerly of Globe, Ariz., passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on Nov. 1, 2009. She was a resident of the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia, Minn.

Margaret was born on Aug. 28, 1915 and had lived in the Globe area for 89 years. She was married to Howard “Pete” Termain Sr., who owned Pete’s Country Store and Pete’s Town and Country. They were married for more than 50 years.

She was a long-time member of the White Mountain Chapter of the Eastern Star. When her husband was in the Shriners, Margaret, with the help of her daughter-in-law, Nelda, made blankets and hospital gowns for the Shriners Children Hospital.

She was a fantastic cook and gracious hostess. Holidays were the time for the finest at her home and a meeting place for all the Termains, Walters and friends who might not have seen each other since the last holiday.

No matter what, Margaret was by her husband “Pete’s” side, from putting together Christmas dinner parties for the employees of the stores, etc. She had one of the most beautiful rose gardens in the area.

So many generations knew her as “Nana,” “Aunt Maggie,” or just grandmother. Always the most immaculate dresser, she continued this even after being in the nursing home. She never left her room without her lipstick on and her hair combed. So many lives have been touched by this awesome woman.

Waiting in heaven for grandmother is her husband, “Pete”; son, Howard Termain Jr.; daughter-in-law, Nelda; and numerous brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Overlie and husband Don of Lake Crystal, Minn.; her granddaughters, Sharon Colyott and her husband Eddie of Roosevelt, Ariz., and Karon Gonzalez of Globe, Ariz.; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Allan Fowler, Chris Gonzalez, B.J. Colyott, and Brenda Griego; great-great-grandchildren, Christopher Fowler, Eric, Ariana and Chris Griego, and Jude McLaughlin; great-great-great-granddaughter, Riley Griego; and by her extended Termain and Walters family and the Brantleys.

On Jan. 16, 2010, there will be visitation from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a service and burial at the Miles Funeral Home, Globe.

Funeral arrangements for Margaret Jesse Termain were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services, Globe.

Esther Irene Wiese

Esther Irene Wiese died Tuesday Jan. 27, 1998, in Kingman. She was 84.

Mrs. Wiese was born Aug. 2, 1913, in Iowa City, Iowa, and came to Kingman 26 years ago from California. She was a truck driver and retired in 1968.

Mrs. Wiese is survived by: four nieces; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by: two brothers, Harold Hawthorn and Harry Hawthorn; one sister, Josephine Tock; and her parents, Glen and Elizabeth Hawthorn.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday Jan. 31, 1998, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, also at Sutton. Sorden's Funeral Home in Lone Tree, Iowa, is handling the burial arrangements.

The family suggests memorial donations to a favorite charity.

Susanne Edell Levinson

Susanne Edell Levinson died Wednesday Jan. 21, 1998. She was 51.

Mrs. Levinson was born April 21, 1946, in California and lived in Kingman for 14 years before moving back to California four years ago. She was manager of a medical billing services company.

Mrs. Levinson is survived by: her husband, Scott Levinson of San Diego, Calif.; one son, David Levinson of Kingman; one daughter, Tracey Flygare of Shreveport, La.; one brother, Kenneth Schimpf; her mother, Marian Schimpf of Hemet, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. today - Friday Jan. 30, 1998 - at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Gene H. Peabody

Gene H. Peabody died Monday Jan. 26, 1998, in Kingman. He was 74.

Mr. Peabody was born Aug. 11, 1923, in Boise, Ida., and came to Kingman 12 years ago from California. He was a tool and die maker and was retired. He was a veteran of the U.s. Navy and was stationed at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese surrender took place.

Mr. Peabody is survived by: three daughters, Irene Billingsley of Poway, Calif., Leann Norris of Kingman, and Sandra Land of Kingman; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Mary Peabody, in 1998; one son, Larry Peabody, in 1983; and one brother, Terry Peabody.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday Jan. 31, 1998, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.

Virginia Patton

Virginia Patton died Monday Jan. 26, 1998, in Kingman. She was 57.

Mrs. Patton was born July 21, 1940, in Kansas and came to Kingman two and one-half years ago from Gallup, N.M.

Mrs. Patton is survived by: one daughter, Rebecca Baldwin; one son, Daniel Patton; one sister, Ann Danielson; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Gallup, N.M. Friends may call 757-3982.

Dorsey F. Mullenax

Dorsey F. Mullenax died Sunday Jan. 25, 1998, in Washington, Mo. He was 74.

Mr. Mullenax was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Phoenix and was a cowboy. He also worked as an operating engineer since 1968 and was retired.

Mr. Mullenax is survived by: four children and stepchildren, Tim Murphy of Phoenix, Rebecca Murphy-Rador of Riverside, Calif., Johnna McGee of Defiance, Mo., and Sammy Williams of Colorado; two brothers, Ellis Mullenax of Phoenix and Ralphy Mullenax of Kingman; and three sisters, Betty Johnson of Moriarty, N.M., and Vicky Logan and Violet Ann Davis of Kingman. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Lovia Jane Mullenax; his parents; and one brother, Bobby Mullenax.

No services were held.

Rolanda Marie Hadlock

Rolanda Marie Hadlock of Kingman died Thursday Jan. 22, 1998, in Galveston, Texas. She was 35.

Mrs. Hadlock was born Aug. 2, 1962, in Torrance, Calif., and came to Kingman 12 years ago from Needles, Calif.

Mrs. Hadlock was a medical assistant at Dr. Dale Parry's office in Kingman. She was a member of the Harley Owners Group. She enjoyed riding her Harley and spending time with her children.

Mrs. Hadlock is survived by: her husband, Wilbur Hadlock of Hemphill, Texas; two sons, Kipton Amstutz of Needles and Alex Amstutz of Kingman; and one sister, Cara Parker of Bakersfield, Calif.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday Jan. 28, 1998,at Needles Riverview Cemetery.
