Stephanie Sue Coulter Steaderman
Mrs. Stephanie Sue (Coulter) Steaderman, age 55, a resident of Lockesburg, died Wednesday, June 16, in the Christus St. Michael Healthcare Center in Texarkana.
She was born July 18, 1948 in Longview, Texas.
She was a teacher for the mentally challenged in De Queen and Texarkana, Arkansas and attended the First United Methodist Church in Lockesburg.
Mrs. Steaderman was preceded in death by her father, Charles David Coulter.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Steaderman; her mother, Mary L. McGee Coulter of Lockesburg; one daughter, Stephanie Murphy of Dallas, Texas and two brothers, Steve H. Coulter of Houston, Texas and Charles M. Coulter of Lockesburg; four grandchildren and 3 nephews.
A memorial service for Mrs. Steaderman will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 19, in the First United Methodist Church in Lockesburg with Rev. Lynn McClure officiating.

Mrs. Mona Shelton
Mona Lee Branson Shelton was born in Durango, Colo. on September 25, 1957 and was called home on June 14, 2004, touching many lives in between.
Mona was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Gillham, Ark. and the Gillham School Alumni.
She and her husband, Eugene, were co-owners of the Cornerstone Monuments of De Queen.
She enjoyed volleyball and interior decoration, but most of all, Mona loved her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Eugene Shelton; two beloved sons, Christopher Lee Shelton and Cameron Bradley Shelton of Gillham, Ark.; her parents, W. J. and Estalee Branson; mother-in-law Marcelle Shelton; siblings, Gary and Marilyn Branson Ferguson, Beth Ann Branson Ward, Todd and Jeanette Branson Lemke, Jim and Amy Branson, Ernestine Shelton Wright, Larry and Karla Shelton, Rick and Tammy Shelton Riggs, Teresa Shelton Lancaster, E. C. Shelton Jr. and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Alisha Leanne and Jenny Lynn Shelton; father-in-law, Ernest "Doc" Shelton and brother-in-law Darrell Chambers.
Honoring Mona's wishes, a wake will be held at Cossatot Reefs at Gillham Lake on Saturday, June 19, at 5 p.m.
All are welcome to share memories and celebrate a life well-lived of this one-of-a-kind person. Casual dress please.

Mrs. Alice Minor
Mrs. Alice Irene Brooks Minor, age 61, a resident of DeQueen, AR, died Thursday, August 5, 2004 in Hot Springs, AR.
She was born February 9, 1943 in Glenwood, AR, to Marion and Nora Brinkley Brooks.
She was a homemaker, seamstress and a member of the DeQueen Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Minor on May 2, 2004.
She is survived by three sons: Danny Easlon, Donny Easlon and Richard Easlon, all of DeQueen; two daughters: Vickie Dunn of DeQueen, and Valorie Minor of Eagletown, OK; a step-son: John James Minor of DeQueen; 13 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Minor will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 9, 2004 in the Chapel Hill Cemetery with Paul Hillier, minister officiating.

Mrs. Edith Cannon
Edith Tierce Jayroe Cannon, a resident of De Queen, and former resident of Sentinel, Oklahoma, was born to Barb and Virgie Logan Tierce at Rocky, Oklahoma, on January 14, 1914, and departed this life Saturday, August 7, 2004, after having attained the age of 90 years, 6 months, and 26 days.
Edith was a retired from Rexall Drug in Sentinel, Oklahoma, as well as a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cordell, Oklahoma, and enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, crafts, and crocheting.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Sammie and Fred Borum of De Queen, AR; one brother: Louis Tierce of Arlington, Texas; one sister: Lucille Colson of el Cajon, California; two grandchildren; Doug Borum of Yukon, Oklahoma; and Parkie Emerson of De Queen; one great-grandchild, Kelsie Emerson of De Queen; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Edith Jayroe Cannon will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2004 in the Rocky Cemetery with Rev. R. B. Mathis officiating.

Mrs. Mamie Ester Wyss Barnes
Mrs. Mamie Ester Wyss Barnes, age 101, a resident of Gillham, AR, died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at the De Queen Regional Medical Center.
She was born Monday, December 29, 1902 in Green Bluff, Washington to John and Mary Ann Sample Wyss.
She was a homemaker, worked for the U.S. Postal Service, a member of the First Baptist Church in Gillham and an Eastern Star #542 Gillham Chapter.
Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Barnes in 1977; three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by two daughters, Iserella Barnes Hudson of Dallas, TX and Gloria Louise Barnes of Warrenton, OR; three grandsons, three great-grandsons and two great-great-granddaughters.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Barnes will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2004 in the First Baptist Church in Gillham with Rev. Bob McManus officiating. Burial will follow in the Gillham Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Mr. Will "Bill" Reeves
Will Hardy Reeves, affectionately called, Bill, a resident of Texarkana, Arkansas, and former resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, was born at Richmond, Virginia, on October 2, 1937, and departed this life Tuesday, December 7, 2004, after having attained the age of 67 years, 2 months, and 6 days.
Bill served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, and was a retired accountant, as well as a farmer.
He enjoyed working, and was an avid reader, as well as a Mason.
Bill is survived by his wife, Carol Kerley Reeves of Texarkana, Ark.; one son, Glynn Sears of Texarkana, Arkansas; one daughter, Angela Householder of Laguna Park, Texas; two granddaughters, Kaitlin and Madison Kendrick of Laguna Park, Texas, as well as other family members.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Bill Reeves will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 9, 2004, in the Bellville Cemetery, with Rev. Wesley Blankenship officiating.

Mrs. Janet Renee Turner Tipton
Mrs. Janet Renee Turner Tipton, age 51, a resident of Dierks, AR, died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at her home.
She was born July 29, 1953 in Dierks to Eule “Rusty” and Maudie Nadine Sherman Turner.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Holly Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Dierks.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Tipton of Dierks; a son, Corey Tipton of Ashdown, AR; a daughter, Tabitha Richards of Dierks; her mother, Nadine Turner of Dierks; a sister, Shirley Chambers of Pine Bluff, AR, and 3 grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tipton will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2004 in the Holly Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Revs. Larry Allbritton and Mac Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in the Dierks Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home, Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the Dierks Chapel.

Mrs. Mary Dale Coulter
Mrs. Mary Dale Coulter, age 76, a resident of Lockesburg, AR, died Tuesday December 7, 2004 in the DeQueen Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 15, 1928 in DeQueen to John Leland and Venus Martindale Glasgow.
She was a graduate of DeQueen High School and Ouachita Baptist College.
She began her teaching career at Lockesburg Elementary School where she is remembered by many students as their third grade teacher. She also taught second and fourth grades. She retired with 25 years of service in 1985.
In 1950 she married Billy Coulter of Lockesburg at the parsonage of the First Baptist Church in DeQueen.
Mary Dale’s family was first active in the First Baptist Church.
She has been a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lockesburg for many years and a strong and active member of the United Methodist Women. She was a member and contributor of the Sevier County Library Board, a member of the Garden Club, and the DeQueen Regional Medical Center auxiliary volunteers. Her hobbies include gardening, homemaking and gourmet cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother Joseph Leland Glasgow.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Coulter of Lockesburg; her children, Kathryn Ann and Dan Clemans of Sherwood, AR, John and Donna Coulter, and Joe Burton and Katie Coulter, all of Lockesburg; her grandchildren, Stacy Kitchens, Leslie Coulter, Caleb Coulter, and Sarah Coulter.
Funeral services for Mrs. Coulter will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2004 in the First United Methodist Church of Lockesburg with Revs. Lynn McClure, J.R. Callicott and Wesley Blankenship officiating.
Burial will follow in the Coulter Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Edna Catherine Axton
Edna Catherine Axton, age 92, a resident of Dierks, died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 in the Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, AR.
She was born July 5, 1912 in Dierks to John and Betty Potts Axton.
She was a retired nurse and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dierks.
She is survived by a sister, Oma James of Dierks; four nieces, Pat James, Melba Killian, Alma Frachiseur and Judy Gillespie; two nephews, Harold Axton and Carroll Axton, and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2004 in the First Assembly of God Church in Dierks with Rev. Henry Bateman officiating. Burial will follow in the Dierks Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home of Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the Dierks Chapel.

Mr. Orval Cash Guire
Mr. Orval Cash Guire, age 71, a resident of Gillham, AR, died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 in Hot Springs.
He was born March 30, 1933 in Gillham to David William and Annie Levina Oliver Guire.
He was a pulpwood hauler and made his living with a chainsaw, and was an Army veteran.
He is survived by four children, Douglas Edward Guire of Gillham, Randall Lee Guire of DeQueen, Laura Ann Leach of Gillham, and Michael Wayne Guire of Gillham; nine brothers and sisters: Muriel Fasold of Carson City, NV, Austin Guire of Jacksonville, FL, Myrtle Johnston of Fayetteville, AR, Chester Guire of Carson City, NV, Russell and Gloria Guire of Alma, WI, Raymond and Sue Guire of Pahrump, NV, Alma Kitchens of Fayetteville, AR, Patrick and Joette Guire of Eden Prairie, MN, Donald and Lorene Guire of Cloverdale, CA; five granddaughters, one great-granddaughter, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Guire will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2004 in the Cossatot Cemetery with Stephen Chenoweth officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home of DeQueen.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2004 at the funeral home.

Mr. Myles Davis
Mr. Myles Albert Davis, age 58, resident of DeQueen, died Wednesday, December 8, 2004 in the DeQueen Regional Medical Center.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Chandler Funeral Home, DeQueen.

Mrs. Ann L. Wester
Ann L. Wester, age 52, a resident of Horatio, died Friday, February 4, 2005 in Little Rock.
She was born September 20, 1952 in Lake City, AR.
She was a pipe-fitter and a welder’s helper and was a Baptist.
She is survived by her husband, Doyle Wester of Horatio; one daughter, Marie Wester and one son, Terry Wester both of Horatio; her parents, Von and Martha Beakley Smith of Bay, AR; two brothers, Don Smith of Nesbit, MS and John Smith of Bay, AR; one sister, Nora Lee King of Truman, AR; six grandchildren, Lewis Wester, Keith Wester, Kalee Wester, Maloree Wester, Levi Wester and Steven Stinson.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Wester will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in DeQueen with Rev. J.L. Walker officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, in the Pine Log Cemetery near Paragould, AR.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2005 at the funeral home.
