Sherry Rinck
Sherry Ann Cross Rinck of Turrell died Tuesday in Turrell.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 18 at Faith Assembly of God Church in West Memphis.
Mrs. Rinck, 45, a homemaker, was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church and was the widow of Glenn Rinck. She leaves a son, Daniel Rinck of Turrell; a stepdaughter, Lisa McCullough of Marion; a stepson, Keith Rinck of St. Louis, Mo.; her father, Earl Cross Sr. of Mississippi; a sister, Elizabeth Powers of Mississippi; two brothers, Robert Cross and Earl Cross Jr., both of California, and four grandchildren.

Joe York
Joe E. "Papa Joe" York of Turrell died Thursday at Crittenden Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Tyronza Cemetery.
Mr. York, 59, a heavy equipment operator, was a member of Bethel Tabernacle Church in Sandridge. He leaves his wife, Kelly Wynn York; three daughters, Jody Ralph of Bassett, Luanne Saint of Armorel and Casey Smith of Turrell; a son, Joe "Bobo" York Jr. of Turrell; a sister, Wilma Cantrell of Thayer, Mo.; a brother, William Clayton York of Cummings, Ga., and eight grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be sent to Bethel Tabernacle Church in Sandridge.

Robert Holmes
Robert Holmes of Sherman, Texas, father of Myra Holmes Neal of West Memphis, died Wednesday at his home.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. today at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Waldo Chapel with burial following in West Hill Cemetery. military graveside honors will be accorded by an Honor Guard from Shepherd Air Force Base.
Mr. Holmes, 76, retired from the military, worked in property management.
He also leaves one other daughter; three sons; a sister, 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 735, Sherman, Texas 75091.

Robert Pearson
Robert Ashmore "Punch" Pearson of Eudora, Miss., grandson of Ida Bea Pearson of West Memphis, died Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Good Shepherd with burial following in Memorial Park. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge of services.
Mr. Pearson, 41, was an employee of Piggly-Wiggly and MegaMarket. He also leaves two daughters; his parents, Judy and Don Earl Pearson of Memphis, and a sister.
The family requests that memorials be sent to Church of the Good Shepherd or the American Heart Association.

Buford Ray
Buford A. Ray of Wynne, brother of Robert Ray of Marked Tree, died Wednesday in Wynne. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home-West Memphis has charge.
Mr. Ray, 88, a liquor store owner, was an Army veteran.
He also leaves a nephew, Kinley Ray of Memphis and several other nieces and nephews.

F.G. Urfer
F.G. "Buddy" Urfer III of Wynne, father of Heather Urfer Greenwood and Amanda Urfer Bowden, both of Marion, died Wednesday at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lewis Cemetery in Hickory Ridge. Kernodle Funeral Home in Wynne has charge of services.
Mr. Urfer, 46, a retired rice farmer, was a member of Hickory Ridge First United Methodist Church.
He also leaves his mother, Letrice Urfer Kennedy of Wynne; two sisters, and two grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be sent to the First United Methodist Church in Hickory Ridge.

David Canada
David Canada of Blytheville, formerly of Turrell, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home in West Memphis has charge of services.

Irene Jones
Irene Jones of Memphis, formerly of West Memphis, died Tuesday at Crittenden Memorial Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Anthony Funeral Home South has charge of services.

Doretha Lewis
Doretha Friason Lewis of West Memphis died September 26 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Anthony Funeral Home Chapel South.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in West Memphis with burial following in Paradise Garden Cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis, 38, leaves her husband, Jerry Lewis; a daughter, Whitney Stokes of West Memphis; four sons, Clayborn Stokes Jr., Floyd "Rico" Jones, Nakita Lewis and Jerry Lewis Jr., all of West Memphis; three stepdaughters, Cynthia Banks and Angela Lewis, both of West Memphis and Mia Lewis of Forrest City; two stepsons, Tony Lewis of Forrest City and David Lewis of West Memphis; her parents, Willie and Mildred Friason of West Memphis; four sisters, Katherine Rogers of Hampton, Va., Joretha Crutcher and Charletha Gannaway, both of West Memphis and Angie Fitzgerald of Marion; three brothers, Willie Friason Jr., Johnny Lee Friason and Anthony O'Gwin, all of West Memphis; her grandfather, Charlie Smith of Benton Harbor, Mich., and eight grandchildren.

James Merrell
James William "Woodrow" Merrell of West Memphis died Monday at Crittenden Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Roller-Citizens Chapel with burial following in Old military Cemetery in Sedgwick.
Mr. Merrell, 85, was the retired owner/operator of Wynne Radiator Shop.
He leaves his wife, Gilfa Merrell, and two daughters, Nancy Merrell of Berkeley, Calif., and Elizabeth Merrell Ennenga of Cordova, Tenn.
The family requests that memorials be sent to West Memphis First Presbyterian Church Building Fund.

Oscar McCoy
Oscar McCoy of West Memphis died Saturday at Crittenden Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Anthony Funeral Home Chapel South. Services will be at 12 noon Saturday at Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church in West Memphis with burial following in Paradise Garden Cemetery.
Mr. McCoy, 71, a retired construction worker, was a member of Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
The widower of Mary McCoy, he leaves six daughters, Ruby Harris and Lillie Thomas, both of Memphis, Mary Thomas, Patricia McCoy, Sharon McCoy and Barbara McCoy, all of West Memphis; six sons, John L. Jones, Calvin Brownlow, David McCoy, Curtis McCoy, Oscar McCoy Jr. and Wesley McCoy, all of West Memphis; two sisters, Annie Lee Blackmon of Memphis and Estella Boyn of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Floyd McCoy Sr. of West Memphis and Lawrence Jenkins of St. Louis, Mo., 30 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Clifton Payne
Clifton R. 'Knute' Payne of West Memphis died Monday at Select Specialty Hospital in Memphis.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown Chapel in Memphis with burial following in Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery.
Mr. Payne, 82, retired from Local 1441 Laborers' Union, was an employee of Southland Greyhound Park and a member of Range Hill Baptist Church. The widower of Frankie E. Payne, he leaves a daughter, Anna James of La Porte, Ind.; a sister, Sue Morris of West Memphis, and a niece who took care of him, Susan Chipman of Memphis.
The family requests that memorials be sent to Range Hills Baptist Church in Frayser.

Odessa Phillips
Odessa C. Phillips of West Memphis died Saturday at Crittenden Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Missionary Baptist Church with burial following in Union Cemetery. J.O. Patterson Mortuary has charge of services.
Mrs. Phillips, 92, a domestic worker, was a choir member of First Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Sarah Mission. She was the widow of Osbie Phillips.

Mary Thornton
Mary Ester Thornton of West Memphis died Sunday at U.T. Bowld Hospital in Memphis.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Anthony-West Memphis Funeral Home Chapel North.
Services will be at 12 noon Saturday at the south chapel with burial in Traveler's Rest Cemetery in Laconia, Tenn.
Ms. Thornton, 53, leaves a son, Jeffery Thornton of West Memphis; her mother, Queen Ester Ross of West Memphis; eight sisters, Elizabeth Stone of St. Petersburg, Fla., Christine Vanderbilt and Barbara Buckingham, both of Horn Lake, Miss., Loistean Webb of Memphis, Connie Stokes, Patricia Parks, Julia Fleming and Angela Wesson, all of West Memphis, and five brothers, Charles Williams, Henry Williams and Edward Williams, all of Davenport, Iowa, James Williams of Wichita, Kan., and Eddie Williams of West Memphis.
