Ellen Sue Belford, age 66, of Plunkettville, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010. She was born March 3, 1943 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Earl Belford and the late Phyllis McFarland Reese. She was united in marriage to the late Bill Schmidt. She worked for Douglas Aircraft in the electronics division and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is survived by:

Father: Earl Belford of Lake Kiowa, Texas
Sisters: Kay Boylan of Riverside, California Georgia Goad of Carlsbad, New Mexico
Grandchild: Ryder Nichols of Smithville, Oklahoma
She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis McFarland Reese and her husband, Bill Schmidt.
Graveside services will be Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11:00 a. m. at Watson Cemetery
with Brother Donnie Jewell officiating. Arrangements will be under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Charmian Katherine Tracy
(May 22, 1925 - July 12, 2010)
Charmian Katherine Tracy of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at Mercy Hospital, Scott County, Waldron, Arkansas, at the age of 85. She was born on Friday, May 22, 1925 to Curt Charles and Helen Catherine DeLallier Calmbach of San Antonio, Texas.
Charmian was baptized at the First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio by Pastor P. B. Hill on December 6, 1925. She attended and graduated from Jefferson High School, in 1942. Charmian married William (Bill) Forrest Tracy November 2, 1942. Charmian and Bill along with their children, son Larry and daughter Debbie eventually moved to Driftwood, Texas. It was here Charmian had the opportunity and time to pursue her many interests. She and her husband Bill owned and operated the Village Center grocery store in Dripping Springs. She took art classes at the University of Texas and was a very accomplished artist. She loved oil painting and enjoyed teaching others how to paint. Like her father, Charmian enjoyed woodworking and was an avid outdoors person. She became a passionate supporter of the Wildlife Federation. In addition, she enjoyed working in her yard and garden, just as her mother had done, and always maintained beautiful flower beds regardless of the season.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother Alvin Calmbach.
Survivors include son Larry Tracy and wife Kathleen of Conroe, Texas; daughter, Debra and husband Steve Lynn of Mena, Arkansas; two sisters, Mercedes Kiles of Fredericksburg, Texas and Fern Eckersley of Prineville, Oregon; seven grandchildren, Major Clint Tracy, Heather Fields, Cobie Harber and her husband Bart Evans, JL Harber, Chris Harber, Brandon Harber and Cheyenne Harber; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Jet Tracy.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2010, 2:00PM at the Driftwood Cemetery
in Driftwood, Texas where Charmian will be laid to rest next to her husband.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the USA Wildlife Federation or the Boy Scouts of America or the Driftwood Community Center.

Dr. Kenneth J. Hogan
(July 10, 1934 - July 10, 2010)
Dr. Kenneth J. Hogan, 76, of Waldron, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 in a Waldron hospital. He was a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Waldron, AR. Kenneth graduated from the Washington University Dental School in St. Louis, Missouri in 1960. After graduating he served in the military for dentistry from 1960 to 1965. After his service was over Kenneth moved back to Waldron and opened his own dental office until 1989 when he was forced to close for health reasons.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 56 years Marilyn Hogan of the home; Four children Michael Hogan and wife Tonya, Cheryl Seidel and husband Stuart, Bary Hogan and wife Christine, and Annette Smith and husband David; 8 Grandchildren Jeffery Hogan and wife Ashley, Haley Seidel, Lauren Smith, Taylor Hogan, Grant Hogan, Hogan Seidel, Evan Smith, and Parker Hogan; and Great Granddaughter Baeleigh Hogan.
Kenneth is also survived by two sister-in-laws Jeanie Hogan, and Lucille Hogan
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p. m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Owens Chapel Cemetery
in Mena, AR under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
Visitation will be Monday, July 12, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be C. R. Carpenter, Noal Sanders, David Smith, Stuart Seidel, David Hawkins, and Wayne Reid.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Edward Jackson, and Bill Tarlton.
Lee Roy Alexander
(July 13, 1924 - July 9, 2010)
Lee Roy Alexander, age 85, of Vandervoort, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 09, 2010 in Mena. He was born July 13, 1924 in Dierks, Arkansas to the late Louis Alexander and the late Elza Essie Harris Alexander. He was married to the late Lucette Sevigny Alexander. Lee Roy was a millwright by profession. He was in the World War ll,
Korean War and Vietnam War serving his country for 20 years in the United States Navy. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 12, 2010 at 10:00 a. m. at the Wickes Pentecostal Church in Wickes, Arkansas with Brother Chris Burke officiating. Interment will follow at the Witherspoon Cemetery
in Vandervoort, Arkansas under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
Bill R. Titsworth
(March 21, 1934 - July 9, 2010)
Bill Titsworth, age 76, of Hatfield, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 09, 2010 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born March 21, 1934 at Pine Hill (Nunley) to the late Allen Spear Titsworth and the late Opal Ellison Titsworth. He was united in marriage to Ruby Jo Lane on August 6, 1959.
After 30 years with Arkansas Forestry Commission he retired in 1998. He operated his own dozer service for several years and then turned it over to his son, Mitch. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hatfield. Past Master of Mt. Meadow Masonic Lodge # 218 and was a charter member of the Hatfield Lions Club and Six Mile Hunting Club. He was also a member of the board of directors for Polk County Farmers Co-op. He was a veteran as well as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 11:00 a. m. at the United Methodist Church in Hatfield, Arkansas with Reverend James Lybrand and Reverend Bryan Richardson officiating. Interment will be at Six-Mile Cemetery
in Hatfield, Arkansas under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hatfield United Methodist Church or Mt. Meadow Masonic Lodge #218.
Nellie D. Slay

Nellie D. Slay, age 79, of Vandervoort, Arkansas, passed away Saturday. July 03, 2010, in her home.
She was born March 15, 1931 in San Jacinto, Texas to the late William Ben Martin and the late Nellie Dell Lofer Martin. She was married to James Slay, Jr. for 61 years. Mrs. Slay worked in the United States Postal service for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother and a friend to all.

Mark D. Dollarhyde, age 49, of Mena, passed away Friday, July 2, 2010.
He was born November 24, 1960 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to the late Roy Dollarhyde and Dorothy Russell Dollarhyde. He was united in marriage to Debbie Chaney. Mark was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and friend.

Herman "Corkey" Callahan
(July 31, 1923 - August 31, 2010)
Mr. Herman “Corkey” Callahan, age 87, of Norman, Oklahoma, formerly, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in Norman.
He was born July 31, 1923 in Zafra, Oklahoma to the late Herman Lester Callahan and the late Delie May Smith Callahan. He was united in marriage to Louella Tarver. Corkey was in law enforcement most of his life including the County Sheriffs’ Department, The City of Mena Police Department, the Arkansas State Police, Sentinel Bonding Company, Wells Fargo, and Phillips Secret Service. He was also a veteran, serving his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Norman, Oklahoma and the Arkansas State Employees Association. Corkey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 1:00 p. m. at the Beasley-Wood Chapel with Brother James Ehrlich officiating. Interment follows in Gann Cemetery
in New Potter under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening, September 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. at the funeral home.
