Mildred Floyd Marchand
Mildred Beatrice Forrest Floyd Marchand, 92, of Stuttgart passed away Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at Crestpark of Stuttgart.
Mrs. Marchand was born May 22, 1917, in DeWitt to Morgan B. Forrest and Minnie B. Johnson Forrest Powell. A charter member of Southside Baptist Church, she was very active with the youth programs of the church and was a Sunday School teacher. She was a homemaker.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald M. Floyd; her second husband, Sam Marchand; son-in-law, Jimmy Scherm; step-son, Sammy Marchand; grandson, Darren Voumard; granddaughter, Shelley Voumard; three brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors are three daughters, Donna Goetz of Little Rock, Barbara (Gerald) Voumard of Ulm and Nancy (Jimmy) Trice of Stuttgart; two step-sons, Tommy (Renee) Marchand of Memphis and Dick Marchand of Springfield, Mo.; step-daughter, Ann Marchand of Redfield; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Gregg Greenway, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lone Tree Cemetery
chapel with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday at Turpin Funeral Home.

Gwynne Roberts
Gwynne Ann Roberts, 66, of Casscoe died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at Benton Health Care Services.
Ms. Roberts was born June 27, 1943, in Stuttgart to Bobby and Annette Allen Roberts. She was a homemaker and member of Lodge’s Corner United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert Roberts Jr.
Survivors are her sons, William Michael Schwartz and Sidney Shawn Schwartz, both of McGehee, and Jon Parrish Schwartz of Benton; an aunt, Mary Abbott and husband Bill of Florida; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services, officiated by the Rev. David Bush, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lone Tree Cemetery
chapel with burial in Lone Tree Cemetery.
Visitation is 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
Larry Wayne Adamson
Larry Wayne Adamson, beloved husband and father, died in his home Thursday night from lung cancer. He was 66.
Adamson was born December 30, 1942, to Elba and Gladys Adamson of Bufordsville, Mo. In 1960, he graduated from Lutesville High School in Lutesville, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and older sister, Willie Kuhlmann of Humboldt, Tenn.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his brother, Charles “C.A.” Adamson of Lavinia, Tenn.; his sister, Donna Byrd of Sikeston, Mo.; his son, Ken Adamson of Stuttgart; and his only granddaughter, Ashten.
In his spare time, Adamson enjoyed fishing in the pond next to his home and spending time with his family and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Adamson home located at 30 Meadow Lane in Stuttgart. A private memorial service will be held on the family’s Tennessee farm at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the contributor’s favorite local charity.
Archie Smith
Archie Author Smith, 41, of Stuttgart died Thursday, September 17, 2009.
Mr. Smith was born Feb. 12, 1968, in DeWitt. He was a truck driver for David Hornbeck and member of United Pentecostal Church.
A brother, Terry Smith, preceded him in death.
Survivors are his parents, Doyle C. and Carol Ann Richardson Smith of Stuttgart; three brothers, Larry Smith of Georgia, Billy Tichy of DeWitt and Calvin Tichy of Pine Bluff; and two sisters, Janet Rogers of Georgia and Vicki Whitehead of Pine Bluff.
Graveside services, officiated by Bro. Teddy Walker and Bro. Louis Whitehead, are 3 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Friday at Turpin Funeral Home

Mildred Larque
Mildred Lucille Larque, 81, of Stuttgart died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Baptist Health in Little Rock.
She was born Feb. 17, 1928, in Hickory Ridge, Ark., to Herman and Bertie Inez Owens Joerns.
She was of the Pentecost faith and a homemaker.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Larque; a son, Dale Larque; and a brother, Harold Joerns.
Survivors are daughter, Vickey Ann Pribble of Martinsville, Ind.; sister, Alene Hair of Stuttgart; four nieces; one nephew; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
A memorial service is 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lone Tree Cemetery
Chapel.
Larry Scroggins
JACKSONVILLE, Ark. - Larry Dale Scroggins, 47, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at his home.
Larry was born Sept. 4, 1962, in Benton to Vernon Macy Scroggins and Virginia Mae Rickford Scroggins.
He was a graduate of Hazen High School and was an apartment complex manager.
He was preceded in death by twin infant sisters, Kathy and Kathleen Scroggins; and his grandparents, Lonnie and Minnie Scroggins of Humphrey and Eula and Marvin Rickford of Benton.
Survivors are his sons, Zackary Logan Scroggins and Justin Macy Scroggins of Reydel and Brandon Rollins of Stuttgart; his parents, Vernon and Virginia Scroggins of Reydel; brother, Teddy Scroggins of Benton; and sister, Karen Scroggins of Hazen.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Larry Bishop, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial in Frazier Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
Betty Jo Juhl
Betty Jo Juhl, 75, widow of Howard Juhl, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Baptist Health-Stuttgart.
Mrs. Juhl was born Jan. 29, 1934, in Stuttgart to Charlie Louis George and Maybelle Chastain George.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors are daughter, Diane Juhl of Stuttgart; son, George Juhl of Stuttgart; two brothers, Charles “Sonny” George and Earl George, both of Stuttgart; and her grandson, Cord Juhl.
Graveside services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Lone Tree Cemetery
Chapel. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Friday at Turpin Funeral Home.
The family will be at the home of Kerry Knowlton, 406 E. 11th St., Stuttgart.
