Thomas Louis McCollum
Thomas Louis McCollum, 62, of Stuttgart died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Crestpark of DeWitt.
Mr. McCollum was born July 12, 1946, in Stuttgart to Clifton Harold and Marie Anna Wittman McCollum. He was a 22-year veteran of the Arkansas National Guard and was employed at Riceland Foods Inc. for 33 years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Harry McCollum; a sister, Martha Jean McCollum Krisell; and a grandson, Jonathon McCollum.
Survivors are his daughter, Debbie Thrash and husband Robert of DeWitt; his son, Clifton McCollum and wife Lori of Ethel; a brother, James Robert McCollum of DeWitt; a sister, Wilma Ruth McClain of Stuttgart; and one grandson, Clayton McCollum.
Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Glenn Larsen, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Emanuel Lutheran Church with burial following in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.

John Wayne Thomas
John Wayne Thomas, 52, of Stuttgart went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 15, 2008.
John was born Nov. 1, 1955, in DeWitt to John Leland and Beatrice Thornsberry Thomas. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Almyra and had been an employee of Stuttgart Home Center in Stuttgart for many years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Thornsberry Thomas; two children, John Wayne Thomas II and Natalie Nicole Vivian Thomas; and a sister, Mary Ruth Waggoner.
Survivors are his wife of 27 years, Vicki Harris Thomas; his father, John Leland Thomas; two brothers, Charles Danner (Rita) of Stuttgart and Sammy Thomas (Christy) of Ulm; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Turpin Funeral Home with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.

Loretta Cox
Loretta Cox of Stuttgart died Saturday, July 19, 2008.
She was born June 30, 1940, in Green County, Arkansas, to Raymond and Viola Wheeler Cox. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Loretta graduated from Paragould High School in 1958 and married Jerry Baldridge. Together they had two sons, Jerry, Jr. and Terry. She enjoyed league bowling throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s based in Clarksdale, Miss. While living there she was owner and operator of Southern Seafood Company, a seafood and catering business. She was a former member of The Gold Wing Road Riders Association and enjoyed motor cycle touring. She lived in Pine Bluff in the early 1990’s where she was employed in retail sales at Sears.
After moving to Stuttgart in 1997, Loretta attended Grand Avenue United Methodist Church where she was active in the Adult Singles Group. She was the former Political Action Chairperson and President-Elect of the Stuttgart Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. She was an active member of RSVP, previously serving as secretary. Through RSVP she currently served at the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce and the Museum of the Grand Prairie. She was a master sewing volunteer with the AR Cooperative Extension Service and had served as a judge for the Southeast AR District Fair. She perfected the art of needlecraft including sewing, knitting, quilting, tatting, smocking and embroidery. In recent years she volunteered at Celtic Fest in Jackson, Miss. where she managed the hospitality suite for performing youth. As a cancer survivor, Loretta lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment spent with her family and friends.
Survivors are two sons, Jerry Baldridge, Jr. of Stuttgart, and Terry Baldridge and wife, Leila, of Vicksburg, MS, and two grandchildren, Keegan Baldridge of Vicksburg, MS and J.B. Duncan of Whitehall.
A memorial service was at 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2008, at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church in Stuttgart with the Rev, George Rook officiating. Memorials may be made to the SRMC Auxiliary Scholarship Fund.

Rayanne Elise Rabeneck
Rayanne Elise Rabeneck, 45, of Stuttgart died Monday, July 21, 2008.
She was born June 24, 1963, to Donald and Elizabeth Rabeneck and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pine Bluff where she was the organist. Rayanne had lived and worked in Pine Bluff for several years before returning to Stuttgart to begin a teaching career with the Stuttgart Public Schools at Middle School and Junior High School.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Gregory Rabeneck; and grandparents, Eldor and Lucille Rabeneck and Elmer and Mary Carle.
Survivors are her parents, Donald and Elizabeth Rabeneck of Stuttgart; one brother, Billy Rabeneck of Stuttgart; and one sister, Christy Rabeneck of Maumelle.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24, at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Dean Clausing officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Tree Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home.
Memorials may be sent to St. John’s Lutheran Church Find-Us-Faithful Fund, Trinity Lutheran Church in Pine Bluff or to Odyssey of the Mind at Stuttgart Junior High School.

Joshua Brazeal
Joshua Wayne Brazeal, 22, of Stuttgart died Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center.
Joshua was born March 21, 1986, in Pine Bluff and attended Stuttgart Public Schools. He was employed at UAP in Altheimer and was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Homer Branstetter, Elsie and Luchius Brazeal and Jessie and Annie Shores; aunt, Jessica Brooks Shores; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Survivors are his wife, Alicia Brazeal; mother, Kimberly Elton of Pine Bluff; father, Wayne Brazeal of Jackson, Miss.; brother, Brandon Brazeal of Stuttgart; mother- and father-in-law, Tammy and Rickey Smith; brother-in-law, Rickey Smith Jr.; niece and nephew, Summer and Colton Brazeal; three aunts, Tammy Shores, Brooke Mack and Tara Branstetter; grandmother, Ginger Branstetter; great-grandmother, Laura Weatherly; and many other relatives and close friends.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. David Inzer, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harmony Baptist Church with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
Monetary donations will be accepted by the family.

Alta Fern Schrock Wesinger
Alta Fern Schrock Wesinger, 93, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at Crestpark in DeWitt. She was born Dec. 1, 1914, in Kalona, Iowa, to W.J. and Lydia Schrock.
Alta married Rhinehart Herbert Wesinger on Dec. 21, 1936, and they began their life together on a family farm near Stuttgart. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Bill Schrock and Martin Schrock; three sisters, Mable Pappe, Nona Davis and Mary Bender; and one grandson, David Daugherty.
She is survived by two daughters, Celeste Daugherty (Don) of Stuttgart and Margie Wesinger of Little Rock; three sisters, Luella Davis of Carlisle, Ruby Relyea of Almyra and Wilma Smith (Gordon) of Hot Springs; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one devoted caregiver, Darlene Allen.
Burial will be private by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Melinda Harlow, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Emanuel Lutheran Church with visitation following the service at the church.
The family requests memorials be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church, 209 S. Grand, Stuttgart, Hospice Home Care, 3063 W. 28th St., Pine Bluff, AR 71603, or Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie, 921 E. Fourth, Stuttgart.

Linda Lee Wood
Linda Lee Foley Wood, 54, of Stuttgart died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at Clay Cliff Nursing Home in Brinkley.
She was born Dec. 18, 1953, in Plattsburg, N.Y., to Walter Edward Foley and Roseanna Eva King Foley.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wood; a sister, Carol Tidwell; and a brother, Walter Foley.
Survivors are one son, Bruce Aldon of Marion; one daughter, Carol Smith of Marion; two sisters, Faye Williams of Stuttgart and Barbara Clark of Morrilton; and 11 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
