Donnie K. Porter
Donnie Kay Porter, 61, of Cotter died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006.
She was a management consultant for Frolic Footwear and a lifelong resident of Arkansas.
She was a member of Clarendon United Methodist Church.
Donnie Kay Porter was born Feb. 18, 1945, at Batesville to Harse and Lucille Long Helton.
She graduated from Little Rock Central High School and attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
Donnie married J. Darryl Porter on March 31, 1964, at Wheatley.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harse and Lucille Long Helton and sister Linda Cain.
She is survived by her husband Darryl Porter of Cotter; son David Porter and wife Susan of Wynne; daughter Dana Hogue and husband Todd of Fayetteville; four grandchildren; sisters Wanda Lafferty of Jacksonville, and Elaine Cofer of Benton; brother Ronnie Cain of Austin, Texas; special friend and surrogate sister Danette Stewart of Norfork; and stepfather Joe Cain of Cabot.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at Egner Cemetery in Southside.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held in Jonesboro at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Joe Williams, Jr.
Joe Williams, Jr., 84, of Jacksonville died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006.
He was retired from the U.S. Army and was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Ellen Blankenship Williams, Sr.; son Richard Williams; and three brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Esther Williams of the home; children Sherry Emrich and husband Art of Ward, Joel Williams and wife Linda of Jacksonville, Phillip Williams and wife Peggy of Stockbridge, Ga., Robert Williams and wife Amanda of Virginia Beach, Va., and Ellen Myers and husband Chris of Rex, Ga.; brother Richard Williams and wife Barbara of Keo; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice.
Memorial services were held Monday, Oct. 9, at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment followed in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
Carolyn Y. Huttig
Carolyn Yarbrough Huttig, 70, of Cabot died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006.
She was a retired substitute teacher and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Huttig; sons Richard Webb, Jack Webb, and Brant Huttig of Bartlett, Tenn., and William Jessie Huttig of Cabot; daughters Melanie Armstrong and husband Tom of Cabot and Melinda Bear and husband Steve of North Little Rock; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother David M. Yarbrough of Mobile, Ala.; and sister Dr. Karen M. Yarbrough of Hattiesburg, Miss.
Graveside services were held Friday, Oct. 6, at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe.
Betty Ackerman
Betty Viola Ackerman, 75, of Austin died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006.
She is survived by her husband William Ackerman.
A funeral service was held Friday, Oct. 6, at Cabot Funeral Home.
Arrangements were by Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home.
C. Wayne Patrom
C. Wayne Patrom, 57, of Cabot died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006.
He was a telecommunications expert and worked 18 years for the Cabot Public Schools and recently at the Pine Bluff Arsenal.
He was a member of the Faith Christian Center and an ordained minister.
He is survived by his wife Patti Patrom of Cabot; son Corey Wayne and wife Toni of Ward; daughter Shawn Pack of Cabot stepdaughters Jamie Gault and husband Michael of Ward and Kristi Cockrell of Cabot; four granddaughters; and sister Beverly Chapman of Frisco, Texas.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 7, at Faith Christian Center.
Arrangements were by Westbrook Funeral Home of Beebe.
Ruth Livingston
Ruth Constance Livingston, 80, of Lonoke died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006.
She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Rowe of Lonoke; son Benjamin Livingston of Conway; sister Cyntheal Lee of Texas; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Lonoke.
Interment was at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Little Rock by Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke.
Margaret Wooten
Margaret Ward Wooten, 81, of Mabelvale died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by her parents Otto Thomas and Edna Campbell Ward and sister Mary Stewart.
Survivors include her husband Kelsey Wooten; sons David and wife Barbara of Mansfield, Texas, Paul and wife Shirley of Mabelvale, Bradley and wife Jackie of Sumter, S.C., and Stanley Wooten and wife Valinda of Greenwood; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother James Ward of Carlisle; sisters Mildred Nichols of N.C., Martha Hudson of Cabot, Marlaine Parker of Memphis, Tenn., and Miriam Harrelson of Colorado.
The funeral service was held Friday, Oct. 6, at the Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery.

Vertis Daugherty
Vertis Daugherty, 77, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006.
He served in the U.S. Army, retired as an assistant vice president from the Union National Bank, and was a member of Trinity Assembly of God.
He was preceded in death by his daughter and three granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Audrey Dene Casteel; sons Timothy E. Daugherty and wife Cheryl of Ward and Edwin G. Daugherty and wife Rene of Tuckerman; daughter Melissa Clark and husband George B. II of Little Rock; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Trinity Assembly of God.
Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Jerry D. Erwin, Sr.
Jerry Dale Erwin, Sr., 72, of Jacksonville died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006. He served in the U. S. Navy and retired after many years as a paint contractor.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jimmy Earl and Violet (Bennett) Erwin; brother Herschel Wayne Erwin; and sister Jimmie Earl Roberts-Silverman.
He is survived by his wife Lillie May Sissy Erwin of Jacksonville; sons Gary Wayne and wife Toni Lyne, of Cabot, Tony Lynn of Jacksonville, and Jerry Dale and wife Jennifer of Vilonia; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at Sumner Cemetery on Monday, Oct. 9.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.
Mae L. Utley
Mae Louise Utley, 93, of Cabot died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006.
She was a member of Cabot First Baptist and Cabot Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by sons Damon, Orville, Kenneth and Keith Utley, one brother and three sisters.
She is survived by her son Bobby Utley and wife Sue of Cabot; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Sophia Payne of Houston, Texas, Irene Harris of Hydro, Okla., and Alice Heggen of Bristow, Okla.; brothers Herbert Brehm of Weatherford, Okla., Philip Brehm of Hinton, Okla., and Nathan Brehm of Skiatook, Okla.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Cabot Library or charity of your choice.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 11, at First Baptist Church of Cabot.
Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
