Mary A Higgins
Mary A. “Mimi” Higgins, 59, of Benton, died April 14, 2006.
She was retired from the Bryant Public Schools and attended the First Baptist Church in Benton.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennie Tombrello of Bryant, and Pennie Schleiff of Cabot; two grandchildren; and brothers, Harlas, Bobby and J.J. Lee, all of Delight.
Funeral services were held April 18 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Forest Hills Cemetery.
Iva Elizabeth Childs
Iva Elizabeth Childs, 77, died April 14, 2006. She was a member of Valley Baptist Church in Searcy.
She is survived by her children, David Leo Childs of Benton, Charlotte Ann Davis of Cabot, Michael Eugene Childs of Farmington, NM; sister, Olive Skogland of Helena-West Helena; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 17 at Valley Baptist Church in Searcy with a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Helena-West Helena.
Memorials may be made to Valley Baptist Church Building Fund (Searcy) or the American Cancer Society.
Jane Martin
Jane Martin, 71, of Little Rock, died April 14, 2006.
She was a psychiatric nurse at St. Vincent Infirmary and at Rivendell Behavioral Health Services and was a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis Martin; daughters, Lynneanne Coyle of Sterling, VA, and Beverly Roy of Cabot; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wed., April 19, at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Chapel, 5800 W. 12th, Little Rock, with Rev. Tony Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Raymond A. Riley
Raymond Arthur Riley, 78, of Little Rock, died April 15, 2006.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rena Riley; daughters, Teresa White, Debbie Fulbright, both of Little Rock, and Kristi Tobey of Beebe; and four grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Esta Wood of Little Rock, and Cheslene Brown of Fort Smith.
Funeral services were held April 18 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth in Little Rock. Interment followed at Roselawn.
Donna Allen-Britton
Donna Ann Allen-Britton, age 43, of Tyler, Texas died April 15, 2006.
Survivors include husband Charles Britton of Tyler; daughters: DeAna Phillips, Charlene Allen and Elizabeth Layrock all of Searcy; step-children: Rebecca Boswell and Kayla Vanaman of Sherwood, Linda Weathers, Charlie Britton and Clarissa Britton of Providence; parents: Barry Spears of Florida and Patricia Spears of Texas and Charles and Elise Allen of Augusta; sister Debbie Schmidt; brothers Toby Spears and Tim Spears all of Texas; five grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Funeral services 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Victory Baptist Church in Cabot with interment at Providence Cemetery. Memorials may be made to any Cancer Research Organization. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service of Cabot.
Wilma Jean Ekrut
Wilma Jean Ekrut, 75, of Little Rock, died April 18, 2006. She was a retired CNA.
She is survived by her sons, Ernest Wayne, James David, Edward Earl and John Allen Ekrut; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Manerva Nelson and Sadie Jones.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Huson Funeral Home, Sherwood, with Joe Glover officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. at Owley Cemetery
near Mt. Ida. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Dorothy H. Rouse
Dorothy (Dee) Hardin Rouse, age 58, of Cabot, died Sunday, April 23, 2006. She was a housewife for several years, then, after being out of school for 14 years, she decided she wanted to be a nurse. She went to college and got her BSN degree. She worked at Rebsamen Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, then at the VA Hospital in North Little Rock for 17 years. She has served as a Cub Scout den mother, was vice-president of Lonoke County Democratic Women’s Committee and was an active member of the party.
Her survivors include her husband, Hershel Wayne Rouse; one son, William Alan Rouse of Iowa; two brothers, Jimmy Hardin of Judsonia and Johnny Hardin of Ward; three sisters, Erma Galloway and Wilma Jackson, both of Garner and Joyce Alford of McRae.
Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Old Austin Cemetery.
Jerry Glenn Royce
Jerry Glenn Royce, age 63, of Jacksonville died April 19, 2006.
Survivors include his wife Suzanne Royce of the home; son, Jeff Royce of Sherwood; three daughters: Brandi, Ciara and Kayla Royce all of Jacksonville; sister Billie Hiett and brother George Royce.
Visitation was Saturday, April 22, 2006 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services were 11 a.m. Sunday, April 23, 2006 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery

Judy Alderman
Judy Dozier Alderman, age 60, died April 23, 2006. She is survived by her husband, Clarence “Jim” Alderman of Carlisle; children, Carolyn Hill of Carlisle and Christy Roark of Cabot; sisters, Jeanette Peterson, Joy Dean Hensley and Linda Tanner of Lonoke, Glenda Lindsey of North Little Rock and Nina Davis of Little Rock; brothers, Jerry Dozier of Lonoke, Ben Dozier of Utah and Herbert Dozier of Benton; grandchildren, five grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Lonoke Apostolic Church with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens, arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.

Richard L. Bucholtz
Richard Lee Bucholtz, infant son of Rebecca Brixie and Guy Bucholtz, died April 18, 2006. Other survivors include brothers and sisters, Guy, Jr., Amber, Ashley, Hailee and Zachariah; grandparents, Ricky Brewer, Brenda and David and Richard and Nancy.
A private funeral service, immediate family only, was April 26 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke, with interment in Monk Cemetery.
Earl E. St. John
Earl Edward St. John, age 80, of Cabot died April 18, 2006 at Cabot Manor Nursing Home.
Survivors include his wife Lorene of the home; son, Daryl St. John of Little Rock; sisters Billie Smith of Tennessee, Lorene Parker of Hot Springs, Fannie Eubanks of Kansas, and Lucille Stivers of Carlisle: and brothers Robert St. John of Mabevale, James St. John of North Little Rock, and Jack and LeRoy St. John both of Carlisle.
Graveside services were Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Old Austin Cemetery. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service of Cabot.
Leslie Jewell, Sr.
Leslie “ Buddy” Jewell Sr., 66, of Cabot, died Friday April 21, 2006.
Mr. Jewell is survived by his wife, Jan Jewell of Cabot; two daughters, Erica Jewell of Cabot, Pam Shirley of Caraway; two sons, Leslie “Buddy” Jewell Jr. of Nashville, TN, and Danny Jewell of Marion; three brothers, six sisters, five grandchildren.
He is also survived by his family at ABF in North Little Rock.
Funeral services were Sunday, April 23, at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church with Reverend Steven Poarch officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Carmel Cemetery
in Cabot by Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home.
Donations may be made to ARORA (Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Association) in memory of Mr. Jewell.
Freda Stringfellow
Freda Stringfellow, 81, of North Little Rock, died April 17, 2006.
She is survived by her son, Benny Stringfellow of North Little Rock; daughters, Claudette Howard of North Little Rock and Vicki Kiser of Cabot; sisters, Faye Parker of North Little Rock and Ruth Brannon of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held April 21 at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
Arrangements were by the North Little Rock Funeral Home.
