William E. Carmical
William Eugene Carmical, 70, of Cabot, died Tuesday, October 18, 2005.
He was born on December 9, 1934, to William and Mabel Counts Carmical in
North Little Rock, Arkansas. Eugene was a Mason, a Shriner, an avid golfer, a member of Rolling Hills Country Club, United States Navy Reserve for eight years, retired owner of Gene’s T.V. in Lonoke, a 50 year member at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot, Arkansas. Mr. Carmical was a dedicated grandfather and he also enjoyed hunting.
Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, Mr.& Mrs. Roy Counts.
He is survived by his wife, Nell Duke Carmical; his children, Donny and wife, Laura Beth Carmical of Cabot, Arkansas, Christy and husband Marty Cavin of Austin, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kortney and Drew Coats, Kaycee Carmical and Morgan Cavin.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at 920 West Hwy 89.
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2005, at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot, Arkansas, with Bro. Terry Fortner officiating. Burial will be at Sumner Cemetery.
Thelma L. Tippitt
Thelma Lucille (Hudson) Tippitt, 81, a resident of Parkway Village Retirement Community in West Little Rock and formerly of Cabot, died Oct. 16, 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Weis of Sheridan; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; sisters, Flossie Brown of Des Arc, Ann Evans of Memphis and Janie Rogers of Cabot; a brother, Pete Hudson of Flint, MI.
Burial was in Pine Crest Memorial Park in Little Rock.
Lester V. Moseley
Lester Vernon “Moe” Moseley, age 66, of Cabot, a retired Fire Fighter with the Jacksonville Fire Department, passed away at his home on October 19, 2005. He was born in Benton on August 28, 1939 to Howard & Irene Moseley.
Preceding him in death is his wife Pamela Moseley, father Howard Moseley and a brother who was killed in Vietnam Harold Eugene Moseley.
Lester served in the U.S. Navy, was a member of the VFW in Jacksonville and a Mason with the AF&M Lodge #319 in Cabot.
Survivors include two sons: Howard Vernon Moseley of Michigan and Patrick O’Neal Griffin of Cabot; two daughters: Larisa Ann Moseley-Weeks of Cabot and Bobbie Lynn Murray of North Little Rock; his mother Irene Moseley Stoops of Cabot; five brothers: Norman Moseley of Conway, Kenneth Moseley of Little Rock, Steve Moseley and Donnie Moseley both of Cabot; one sister, Ruby Griffin of Austin; and seven grandchildren: Samantha & Abbie Beal, K.J., McKenzie & Evan Weeks all of Cabot, and Travis Wolschlager & Brandon Omen of Michigan.
Memorial services were held 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2005 at the Jacksonville VFW. Arrangements were by Thomas Funeral Service in Cabot (501) 941-7888.
Dora Riggs Haynes
Dora E. Riggs Haynes, age 92, of Austin, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005. She was retired from MacMillan-Bloedel and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Joe W. Haynes of Plano, Texas; two daughters, Rosemary Sutton of Saratoga and Martha Martin of Austin; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was Monday at Oak Grove Cemetery

Deacon P. Dodson
Deacon Perry Lee Dodson, Jr., age 64, died Oct. 22, 2005. He was vice chairman of St John Baptist Deacon Board, one of original members of the Zion 5 Jr. Gospel Singers, vce president of St John Baptist Choir and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Estella Dodson; daughter, Bonita Walter of Little Rock; son, Rev. Brian Dodson of DeValls Bluff; brothers, Major Dodson of California and Robert Dodson of Lonoke; one sister, Laura Spencer of Lonoke; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 29 at Gateway Fellowship Church. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Garden.
John R. Parr, Sr.
John Robert Parr, Sr., age 70, of Lonoke, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2005. He was retired from the City of Lonoke.
He is survived by one son, Harold Parr of Ward; one daughter, Tammy Mackey of Lonoke; seven grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with burial in Monk Cemetery.
Mark Glover Watson
Mark Glover Watson, age 45, of Antioch, died Oct. 19, 2005. A 1978 graduate of Lonoke High School, he was employed by Target Distribution in Maumelle and was a member of Gateway Fellowship in Lonoke.
He is survived by his wife Gale and his daughter Christy both of Antioch; his mother, Algrine Watson of Lonoke; two stepsons, Guy Thomason and Trey Benton (Nikki); three grandchildren; one sister, Anita Kay Holt of Smyrna, Tenn.; one brother, Gene Watson of North Little Rock.
Funeral was Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, at Gateway Fellowship, Lonoke, with burial in Lonoke Cemetery

Joseph D. Chamblee
Joseph D. Chamblee, age 69, of Ward, died Oct. 21, 2005. He was a retired meat cutter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Geneva Gill Chamblee; first wife, Peggy Moran Chamblee; one brother, Leland Chamblee; and three sisters, Daphene Brewer, James Marshall and Molene Cook.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his son, Mark Allen of Ward; two daughters, Melinda Ryan of Batesville and April Gammel of Lonoke; two grandchildren, Amanda Armstrong and Cliff Ryan; one great-grandchild, Camden Ryan; two brothers, Dennis Wondel Chamblee and Joe Chamblee; and two sisters, Emma Madding of Forrest City and Laura Eubanks of Morrilton.
Funeral was Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Apple Hill Cemetery.
Christopher Fuller
Christopher Earl Fuller, 25, of Conway, formerly of Jacksonville, died Oct. 22, 2005.
He was born in Jacksonville, graduated from Mayflower High School in 1998 and started a flooring business in 2001.
He is survived by his mother, Denise Hotary Curtis; father, Earl James Fuller; brother, Clayton Pollock Jr. of Austin; sisters, Shelly Roberts; Samantha and Ashley Fuller; grandmother, Susan Clifford; grandfather, Steve Hotary; great-grandparents, Anne and Charles Miranda; and soul-mate, Allison Vaughan.
Visitation will be held Wed., Oct. 26, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock. Funeral services will be held on Thurs., Oct. 27, at 2 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel with interment to follow at Harmony Cemetery.
There will be a gathering of friends and family immediately following the service at Harmony Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
Dominic Peter Cedio
Dominic Peter Cedio, 70, died Oct. 17, 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Cedio; daughter, Debbie Cooley of Jacksonville; son, Larry Cedio of South Carolina; one step-daughter, Barbara Ingle of Hazen; three grandchildren; brothers, Tony, Jimmy, Joseph, Roserareo and Anthony; sisters, Kathleen, Francis, Virginia, Ann, Josephine and Eva.
Graveside services were held Oct. 19 at Hicks Cemetery. Arrangements were by Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke.
Dee Leslie Mathis
Dee Leslie Mathis, 62, of Lonoke, died Oct. 17, 2005.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Deborah Durham Mathis; sons, Nolan, Leslie, Steven, Shane and Matthew; daughters, Stacy, Deanna, and Sunny Scott; brother, Glenn Mathis Jr.; sisters, Opal Jones of Lonoke, Deanee, Kec of Horseshoe Lake, Shirley Pope Joy of Mabelvale, and Glynda Parks of Conway; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at the Concord Cemetery
on Oct. 21.
Faye Shirley
Faye Shirley, 85, of North Little Rock died Oct. 18, 2005. She was a member of the Pershing United Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by her sons, Melvin Shirley of Lonoke and Jim Shirley of England; daughter, Deborah Ison of North Little Rock; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 5600 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
Funeral services were held Oct. 21 at the Pershing United Pentecostal Church. Burial was in the Gravel Ridge Cemetery.
