He is survived by his parents, O.W. Bill & Mildred Ray; two brothers, Timothy & Don Ray.
Funeral were held at Mt. Springs Baptist Church in Cabot at June 3. Internment was at Mt. Springs Cemetery.

Geritha ‘Dink’ Looney
Geritha “Dink” Looney, 78, of Humnoke, died Monday, June 7, 2004.
She is survived by her husband, Warner; three sons, Bill Looney of Sherwood, Jesse Looney of DeWitt, and Gary Looney, Bald Knob; three daughters, Joan Crawford, Humnoke, Sharon Cauley, England, Susan Wiles, Carlisle; nine grandchildren and nine great-grand-children; three brothers, Farrell Rockwell, Bill Rockwell and Garland Rockwell, all of Humnoke; six sisters, Rosie Carter, Humnoke, Violet Jones, Wabbaseka, Louise O’Neal, Cabot, Dorothy Rose, Hensley, Betty Underwood, Carlisle and Elaine Kimsey of Stuttgart.
Funeral services were Thursday, June 10, at Rowe’s Chapel Church with interment in Hamilton Cemtery.
Shawnee Porter
Shawnee (Benton) Porter, 81, of Beebe, died Saturday, June 12, 2004. During WWII, she worked at the ammunitions plant and also worked as a beautician before retiring from ASU-Beebe as a cafeteria worker.
She is survived by a son, Johnny Porter of Lonoke; a daughter, Thelessia Clare of Beebe; a brother, D. L. Benton of Mesquite, Texas; a sister, Laverne Eaker of White Hall; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Family received friends Monday at Westbrook Funeral Home. Funeral service was Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Beebe Cemetery.
Cleveland J. Swaim
Cleveland James Swaim, 63, of Hazen died Monday, June 7, 2004. He was a former employee of Bogard Seed Company.
He is survived by his mother, Bessie Swaim of Hazen; a special friend, Irene Walker; two sons, Ronny Lee (Sonny) Morris of Hazen and James Cleveland (J.C.) Swain of Des Arc; three daughters, Teresa Blazek, Marie Walker and Mary Ann Seely, all of Hazen, three brothers, Larry Swaim of Hazen, Tommy Swaim of Jacksonville and Dale Swaim of Carlisle; two sisters, Jessica Scarborough of Texas and Ida Mae Linam of Vilonia; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, June 10, 2004, at Center Point Baptist Church. Burial was in the Center Point Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen.
Alannette S. Hare
Mrs. Alannette “Billie” Stallings Hare, 83, of Little Rock, formerly of Newport and Horseshoe Bend, did June 8, 2004.
She was born March 10, 1921, in Little Rock, the daughter of Dr. Walker Stallings and Alannette Wells Stallings. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Newport and Little Rock and was a retired school teacher and homemaker. She was a graduate of Lindenwood College, a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority, and a charter member of the Strawberry River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin B. Hare Sr. and her beloved son, Walker S. Hare.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy.
She is survived by her children, Marvin B. Hare Jr., David J. Hare and wife, Tina, Michael Hare and wife, Jeanette, Alannette Rushing and husband, Tony, and Suellen DiMassimo; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Friday at the First Christian Church in Newport with Rev. John Childress officiating. Burial was in Sandhill Cemetery
at Auvergne.
Pallbearers were Rex Wilmans, Gene Sweat, Walker DiMassimo, Scott Ford, Trey Hare, and Greg James. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Pratt, John Conner Sr., Jerry Jeffery, Bill Phillips and George Oldenburg.
Arrangements were by Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home.

Royce Lynn Henry
Royce Lynn Henry, 18, died June 13, 2004.
He recently graduated from North Pulaski High School and was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church in Cabot.
He is survived by his adoptive mother/grandmother, Bobby Sue Henry, and mother, Blenda Breedlove of Sherwood; five brothers, Chris Smith, Shannan Hyde, Damien Breedlove, Bobby Breedlove, Richard Washburn, all of Sherwood; one sister, Hazel Washburn of Sherwood.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 17, at Rest Hills Cemetery
under the direction of Roller-Owens Funeral Home.
Robert W. Barlow
Robert “Jack” W. Barlow, age 75, of Des Arc died Saturday, June 12, 2004.
He was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Des Arc, and was a veteran.
Survivors include his wife Betty, of Des Arc; four daughters, Margaret Farish and Wanda Wallace, both of Des Arc, Edna Shelby of San Antonio, Texas and Toni Barlow of Dade City, Fla.; one son, John Jeffery Barlow of Lonoke; one sister Lucille Betty Webber of Galion, Ohio; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Services were Wednesday at Garth Funeral Home Chapel in Des Arc with burial in Lakeside Cemetery, Des Arc.
Delores Fay Vickers
Delores Fay Vickers of Stuttgart died June 14, 2004.
She is survived by her three children, Neal Vickers of Lonoke, Donna Jackson of San Antonio, Texas, and Earl Vickers of North Little Rock; two brothers, Crandall Hagan of Ashdown and Calvin Hagan of Little Rock; one sister, Maylene Carter of Little Rock; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was a devout Baptist and active member of Stuttgart’s First Baptist Church serving on numerous committees and teaching Sunday school for many years. She retired from Farmers and Merchants Bank.
A celebration of her life was held June 16, at First Baptist Church at Stuttgart. Graveside service was at Lone Tree Cemetery.

Robert DeLuryea
Funeral services for 34-year-old Robert DeLuryea of Cabot, who died June 11, 2004, were held Monday in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, mother, a grandmother, a daughter, three brothers, and a sister.
Zilmer A. Ring
Zilmer A. Ring, age 86, died Saturday.
He was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church of West Memphis, and Teamsters Local 667 of Memphis, Tenn. He was a truck driver for Gordons Transports for 40 years.
Survivors are wife, Marline; son, Nick of Cabot; daughters, Sharron Ring McGugan of West Memphis, and Charlette Ring Bledsoe of Bartlett, Tenn.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were Tuesday, Olmstead Chapel. Interment, Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.
George C. Smith Jr.
George Cleveland Smith Jr., age 85, of Texarkana, died Thursday, June 10, 2004.
He was a Real Estate salesman, and was a member of the Highland Church of Christ in Texarkana.
Survivors include: two brothers, Robert C. Smith of Lonoke, Doyle Smith of Lewisville; two sisters, Lucy Smith Dorough of Texarkana, Helen Jackson of Texarkana.
Funeral services were June 12, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with burial in the Wilson Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Southern Christian Home in Morrilton.
